This mod is a retexture of a majority of the effects for both Kotor 1 and Kotor 2. It basically started when I changed the spark texture, and then just kept on going. The mod assets are pretty simple to use, you just pick which texture you want to add to your game, and put them into your Override folder. The lightning has an alternate file in case you are interested in force lightning more akin to the movies (where it has no conjure animation) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pasted from Readme: {..) Description: This is a retexture of all of the effects in both Kotor games. It's simple in design, but has a huge impact on the look and feel of gameplay. Included are changes to the Sparks thrown when weapons impact enemies or walls, the lightning and drain effects, the fireball and ion explosion textures, the rain and snow textures in K2, the shape and size of the explosion particles, and an alternative texture to the mine detection overlay which makes them less like a bright red ball. {..>To Install: Drop all applicable files into the Override Folder. If you don't currently have an override folder, then you'll have to create one. I have separated the textures into corresponding folders for easier choice of what you would like to install The files are also separated by game, since Kotor 2 has rain and snow, while Kotor 1 does not. {..<To Uninstall, either remove or delete the files contained in this download from your Override folder. {..<Compatibility: This mod uses a few model .mdl and .mdx files in order to fully change the spark retexture. If you have any of them already in your override, they may conflict. {..>Possible Future Changes or Additions: I am considering changing the explosion animation file and if possible, the very structure of explosions. However, that will probably be a bit later after I have read more into the effects files. {..<Credits: Stevo and Rece for testing my Spark retexture to ensure compatibility, TriggerGod for his permission to use his lightning texture as a base Adobe for their Photoshop, Lucasarts as both Bioware and Obsidian for making the Kotor games, The very special community on DeadlyStream for their constant feedback and assistance, And lastly, George Lucas, for creating the Star Wars movies which has since spawned its ever expanding universe...- 9 comments

Something's gone wrong with the Ebon Hawk. Not only are sparks flying out of its panels every which way, but those sparks look less like sparks and more like Pac-Man's power pellets. Most likely because the spark objects in the local geometry are not making use of the same effects technology the rest of the game's sparks are, namely motion blur for that streak look. This mod takes fixes up the sparks used in the game's prologue to use the same technology as the rest of the game, for a stronger look more consistent with the rest of the game, while retaining all of the same intention as the original ones. For clarity, this is not a texture mod, but a model one. It is compatible with any texture mods of your choice. Check out the included video below to see the differences. spkeff.mp4 Installation: Download the .7z file and extract to your override folder, found in the same directory as your main game executable. For Steam installations, this would be "Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\override". You can open .7z files with programs like Archive Utility on macOS, or by downloading free programs like PeaZip on Windows and Linux. Uninstallation: Remove the folder "Spark_Effect_v1.0" from your override. Compatibility: Users should expect full compatibility with any other mods, so long as they do not modify/replace the files listed below. This mod is compatible with "Ultimate Ebon Hawk Repairs". You can also check out ShiningRedHD's "Ebon Hawk HD - 4x Upscaled Texture" on NexusMods for a high definition version of the exterior of the ship. Dark parts of the ship's map bothering you? Check out "TSL Ebon Hawk Downloadable Map" by Ashton Scorpius. Included Files: -001ebo17.mdl -001ebo17.mdx -002ebo.mdl -002ebo.mdx Acknowledgments: Thanks to Cortisol and Fred Tetra for making file extraction easy with the Holocron Toolset and KotORTool, respectively, and Symmetric, Purifier, Ndix UR, and seedhartha for making importing to Blender simple using KotORBlender. I would also like to give a big shout out to ConansHair for the idea for the mod, and for lending me his thoughts. This modification is not supported by Obsidian Entertainment, Lucasarts, Disney or any licensers/sponsors thereof. Use of this modification is at your own risk and neither the aforementioned companies nor the author may be held responsible for any damages caused to your computer via this modification's usage. spkeff.mp4 spkeff.mp4 -

This mod was made to increase the immersion for those who like me, love to play with Canderous in full Mandalorian armor. It applies radio effect on Canderous' voice. Completed lines: Taris ✓ Canderous conversation (stories, etc.) ✓ Carth and Bastila banter ✓ Jagi quest line ✓ Leviathan ✓ Multiple random reactions ✓ Soundset ✓ I've done my best to locate most of the dialogs, but some of the files are a real pain to find. If you happen to stumble upon missing soundfile let me know. It would be extremely helpful if you told me which module it happend and which NPC started the conversation (or you starded with). THIS IS NOT A CLOTHING/ARMOR MOD, IT CONTAINS MODIFIED AUDIO FILES ONLY! IT REQUIRES ANOTHER MOD TO LOOK PROPERLY FE: "Mandalorian Ultimate Mod"! Have fun! -

This mod is actually quite old. I submitted it a while ago for testing purposes, but never got to actually uploading it for DS. Basically it's a retexture of all of the different weapon's effects for each ammo type. Each bolt is customized so that no longer do the disruptor and ion weapons have the same muted white blob. After a little while, I also got into editing the bowcaster as well, so now it has something more akin to its appearance on the Jedi Knight games. All of the weapon's effects are edited. Installation: This mod uses the TSLPatcher to install, so just follow the instructions and it'll do its thing. <</ Notes for update for 1.1 There were a few files that I somehow forgot to include in the original installation TSLPatcher. So if you already installed my version 1.0 of this mod, I have included in this download the fixed files to be dropped into the Override, so that you won't have to reinstall this mod. However, the TSLPatcher will now install everything properly as well. Uninstallation: Replace the ammunitiontype.2da in the override with the one found in the TSLPatcher backup folder and delete the files listed in the tslpatchdata from the override as well Permission: Please don't this in your mod without my permission Thanks: Adobe for the Photoshop, Lucasarts and Obsidian for making Kotor 2; with which none of this would be possible, Mav for his easy to use and informative TSL Blaster Bolt Retexturing Tutorial link:http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=168268 , FairStrides for his input and initial testing , SithHolocron for the assistance and advice , The rest of the DeadlyStream community for remaining helpful and supportive for all of this time, and George Lucas for creating Star Wars in the first place- 6 comments

A slightly updated version of the fire and lightning for comparison purposes. Ironically I never planned for it to be nearly identical to the original. In fact I didn't notice until after I had compared the two, that it even has almost the same placement of enemies. -

I tried to ensure that the fire effect I was testing looked alright from all angles by zooming in close to it. The result looks pretty cool.. -

Cool fire effect in the background. I was testing a few edits of the fire effect, and here we are.
