  1. Yay, starwarsknights is back up :D

  2. Alright guys, I've finally finished all of my planned lightsabers. There's a lot. So yeah, anyways all that's really left is for me to place them into the game. So I'm going to have to start working on placeables... Yay... But, just for all of you looking forward to the mod, here's an image of the upcrystals.2da to show off all of the crystals/lightsabers Btw, yes I realize I misspelled Dartmouth GREEN. I put greeen by accident. The sabers start with my Burning white, and go all the way down the list
  3. Alright, thanks for replying Jorak. I was just wondering because I'm making a lightsaber mod, and since I've been working on it for s while I wanted to make sure that it was compatible with others.
  4. Quick question, are these replacing the vanilla game's textures?
  5. I'd say a successful mod is only for the mod author to choose. I believe they have the choice to think whether or not their mod is successful. Like they say. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Sure, there could be 50 people who review a mod. Sure half could be good reviews, the other half bad reviews. But it doesn't matter. A mod could have only 15 downloads when it's been out for four years, so what? As long as the mod author feels like they produced a good mod, then it's successful. For me personally, I consider all of my mods a success because I mod on a Mac. Sure, I have to run the same PC applications as everyone else, but they're a pain to get working sometimes and don't always work correctly. I just find them successful because everyone says Macs are horrible, or you can't do anything that a PC can do. Well, I'm here to prove that wrong in a modding sense. I (or anyone as a modder) shouldn't care about what people think of your mods. They're YOUR mods, YOU made them, and you should be happy about that. It doesn't matter the content of the mod, it could be a lightsaber mod, an armor mod, or a whole module. Again, I feel it just depends on what the author thinks of their stuff. I will always find my mods to be successful, even if they have 10 downloads. I don't care, they're mine, and I'm glad for that. I know I kind of went too into my own mods, but that's just the general concept that I'm trying to get out.
  6. Hey guys, back with another update on the saber mod THis time, the sabers are a bit more exotic. Each saber has a different colored core and and outer glow. Again, these are a bit wacky, but I hope you guys enjoy them! Arcanum: Red/Green Catalyst: Pink/Blue Ichor: Purple/Blue Kairos: Blue/Red Lovat: Green/Yellow Paragon: Orange/Blue This next one was named by one of my friends who is a girl who has absolutely no clue what I;m doing. I told her that I'm a Star Wars nerd and what-not, showed her a pic the lightsaber and let her choose a name for it. She said that she sucks at naming things, but I do like the name though Red Lightning: Green/Red Hope you guys enjoyed them! This mod will be out soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates!
  7. ugh, 21 pages of pure evilness... Finally done with this assignment. Now I can rest and continue modding :)

  8. Hey guys! Pretty big update here for me on my Lightsaber mod. After spending all day and night creating the custom models for some of them, I now have eight fully functional and upgradeable lightsaber models/crystals. Now these ones that I have here are, (plainish????) But they took a long time to create. Hope you enjoy them! The eight that I have here are: Alizarin Red: Alloy Orange: Brandeis Blue: Burning White: Cadmium Yellow: Dartmouth Green: Fuchsia Pink: Sapphire Blue: More updates coming soon!
  9. Just how cluttered is my desktop when I'm trying to create these custom models for the lightsabers? http://i.imgur.com/lVKCnFC.png

  10. Haha thanks! I worked till late last night on making some more of the light sabers. I will definitely have more updates later today
  11. Bah, I've got about 20 more sabers left to make the models for xD
  12. And I'm so proud to announce that I have finally put a custom model into the game. Had to do some (easy now) hex editing, along with uti editing and other things. but here's my first truly custom lightsaber that will be apart of my mod, oh and did I mention that it's upgradeable too?
  13. Alright guys, I'm back with a couple of new saber ideas. Again, these are all just tests, so there's no guarantee that they'll be final, or even be apart of my mod. But I think I made a couple of good ones Again, if you guys have ideas for any, just tell me and I'll gladly try to make them
  14. Alright, so I've been working really hard on trying to get a black lightsaber blade, because so many people have been wanting it for so long. Thanks to help from FS, this is a complete rough draft of what it looks like right now.. Again, I'll be doing some tuning to make it look more like a lightsaber, but before you say this is easy, it's not (IMO)... I know it just looks like a black block though... http://i.imgur.com/kEArHcF.png

Looking good so far, just needs a little more white round the edges.

Yeah, this is just my standpoint for now. I'm going to be trying to add several different things to make it, you know look like a real blade

  15. Only things that I think could cause possible problems are: Combat suit revisited, Force powers with Armors, and the expanded workbench/new bench upgrades. Can I get another mod to cheek out this problem too?
  16. Hmm, I'm not sure. Unless there's a mod that specifically alters every .uti in a certain way, that somehow managed to be compatible with my mod, then I'm unsure. If you could link me to the mods that you have installed, that'd be great And just in case, here's how it should look like:
  17. I see you have my mod downloaded. I'm not sure as to why they do this. When I'm in game, this doesn't show up for me. Do you have any other mods installed that alter any UTI's or things like that?
  18. Yay for migraines.... 4 pages of notes and a current event due tomorrow, and just woke up past my bed time. Nothing to eat... AGH...

  19. So, you can't make a lightsaber flicker like, say how the X on this mod I amde flickers/gets darker and then lighter. The lightsabers don't work in the same way sadly: Okay, here's the amethyst lightsaber, there's two choices, and of course the video is going to degrade the quality of what they actually look like in game so keep that in mind!
  20. Steam IMO. That way if you ever lost your computer data or something, you could just re download the game as long as you know your password of course
  21. Ye p, they're all going to be custom! Which of the yellow/orange one's would you vote for? The first or second? he first one is kind of hard to see the transition between yellow to orange, but the second one you can clearly see the transition between the yellow and orange.
  22. Alright guys, I'm back with another update on my saber mod. These two sabers I created were recommended from Ninko. REMEMBER, I CAN MAKE THE SABERS CHANGE COLORS FASTER, OR SLOWER!!! The first one is the Yellow to Orange. I made two different ones to see which one you guys like better: The second one is the transition of Blue, to green, to yellow.
  23. Check out my post the I made in reply to your question on that TSL Armor enhancement thread
