Oh, that does seem to be what I want! Thanks! <3

Does this mean it covers the same stuff? And there is no point having the Super content Mod? I like the improved choice of items (which is why I used and recommended it), but is that addressed in TSLRCM? I think he was going for Super 'content mod' and Restored 'content mod' - being so similar, maybe no point in having both Although, I do like the Super content Mod! As I said, I'd recommend it (And yeah, its incompatible, but I've had no issues up to Nar Shadaa, my first planet after Telos). I haven't played KOTOR1 with any mods, so I can't help there unfortunately

Or Perhaps if you are looking for Vanilla Skins, updated in High Res, Xarwarz has some of that too: http://www.moddb.com/members/xarwarrz/addons (The KOTOR 2 OTE addons). If not, I'm sure you'll find something, the modding community is pretty active for KOTOR 1 + 2.

If you are looking for a high quality texture 'update' (its basically the vanilla skins made to look better, rather than new design like in many re-textures) http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/300-k2tslr-the-sith-lords-remastered/ I found this after I'd finished Peragus, so I missed out on a lot it has to offer, as this only covers Peragus and Telos. It looks really good in-game, I hope the author gets round to finishing the entire project (all worlds). It is listed as 'not compatible' (so use at your own risk) but I haven't found any issues as of yet with the 'Super content mod', which adds a host of new items, good balances (from what I have seen), and in keeping with the artwork. ________________ One thing I'm looking for at the moment - I haven't been able to find, is a Nar Shadaa texture mod that is more in keeping with the original design, Xarwarz does a great set of mods that re skins most planets and the Ebon Hawk, but they aren't to my taste.

The title is a tad misleading (sorry about that I didn't know how to phrase it to be honest). When I log into deadly stream from Google chrome (normal) every time I try and post, it logs me out (length of post or time taken to write it doesn't make a difference as far as I can see). I will write the post click 'post' and it will load, and tell me I need to be logged in to do that (and I will have been logged out). However no issues when I log in from Chrome (Incognito). It's not really a huge issue, it makes little to no difference to me, but I probably thought it'd be worth mentioning...

I am so torn! I don't know whether to go Dantooine or Nar Shadaa first... It's been so long since my first play through (this is only my second!), I didn't even finish the game last time, whoops! I am also torn on whether the Coruscant Jedi Temple mod is 'canon' within KOTOR 2 and whether I should get it and play it..... I want to have the best experience, but I don't want to 'ruin' or 'dirty' my 'canon' play-through with mods that are not how the game is intended (Jedi From the start, and lightsaber at start mods etc). If you don't get what I mean then perhaps another way of phrasing it is: Does this add to the story like RCM/ M4-78 rather than remaking it into a experience that is far from the intended feel of the game? Any opinions on that? Something I do remember though is I never knowing Bao Dur and the Handmaiden could be Jedi's. I must have sucked at video games way back when. I'm probably going to go to Nar Shadaa first, just because I remember it being quite interesting, and Jedifying Atton there. But opinions on coruscant would be muchly invited!

I feel like all I ever do is moan about problems... That isn't my intent, Sorry! The HK-50 (I'm not sure if this is an issue with the playable HK-47 yet) droids seem to be slightly see through... Same shading and colouration, just I can slightly see the background through them. 1) When did the problem begin to occur? Telos - In the underground base, I noticed it with the damaged HK-47 droid that you can repair (and eventually explodes). 2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? Yes. 3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? 4CD, UK (I think, I bought this a while ago from Amazon) 4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? Yes. 5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? Fresh install. 6) Did you use the TSLPatcher, if provided? I don't know? (Maybe I'm being dumb, if this is the stock patcher the game gives you to update to 1.0b, then YES) 7) Were there any errors in the TSLPatcher installation? No? (see above answer) 8) What other mods did you have installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.) Super content Mod (I know its not listed as compatible, but no issues seem to be caused by this as of yet), RCM 1.8.3, M4-78, Cannon star Map fix, HD star fields, SIC Telos 'remastered' and Xedii's Ebon hawk (2013? I think?). I can't recall anymore, they are most likely texture, which *shouldn't* cause much problem.... 9) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? As said above, the HK-50 droids were partially see through. It happened again during the in-game dialogue scene between the HK-50 droids pursuing your party (and eventually shoot you down on the polar plateau). 10) Have you tried re-downloading the mod? No. Although, I am loathe to do this as this will be my *error 405: number not found, too many times* after trying to fix another problem with Telos crashing (which I fixed eventually). 11) Have you tried using a different save game? If that means loading a different save from the same character, but different time, then yes. No luck. 12) Have you tried starting a new game? Again, after my previous attempt to get a different bug work around, I would like to avoid starting from scratch. 13) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.) Windows 8.1 64bit

This may have been deliberately unanswered - but I thought I might bump this question. I am especially excited for the skybox! After spending a hour reading this entire thread, there is some phenomenal work. I would be greatly disappointed, although understanding because IRL makes it hard, if it never got finished. I have always liked other modders work, but this brings a whole new dimension to the 'vanilla' feel (which I liked when I played it 6 years ago), some 're-textures' can look a bit comical and out of place, so this mod is just amazeballs. *insert whatever inspirational anecdote that might re kindle the passion*

I know this is the cardinal sin for PC gamer, but is it possible to have Xbox controller support via mod (not Xpadder, I know that's possible, but clunky as hell)? I just prefer it when I'm lazing around and my PC is hooked up to a TV. I know the Mass Effects (bar 3, because of some 'infinite wisdom') you can just tweak the coalesced.ini and BOOM. Controller support. Obviously this game is much older, made in a time where consoles were in their infancy and cross compatibility wasn't even an idea, so it may not be possible, but has any one looked into it? Of course, I am ignorant to the sorcery modders have at their disposal so ignore me if I'm being dumb ^^.

Just as a closing comment ( and in the interests of being as thorough as possible) Now I'm on Telos' surface, going from the station to the surface causes no problems it loads fine and you can play with all my current mods. But if you try and load the game from a save made on the surface of Telos it wont get past the loading screen. It loads about 1/3 of the way and then just stays as it is, no crash, just stops. My first attempt to fix it I used compatibility mode (Windows XP SP3) and it worked fine! I had to move (copy) a game save from the windows 8 directory which is normally here: C:\Users\ [user Name] \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\Saves to the 'normal directory' that XP mode uses which is normally here: C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\SWKotOR2C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\Saves Note: I don't think the mods copy over to the windows XP directory (or some of them at least, as non of my reskins seem to have made it across, but the Super content mod did and TSLRCM seem to as well, which is odd), so you may need to copy the texture mods over the the virtual store overide folder. I hope this helps ^^

Essential mods for best possible KotOR/TSL experience
big_J_93 replied to Kazebu's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Those Star field mods look awesome, and the star map fix does help with my mild canon OCD, haha. So are there any recommended texture packs? (potentially with links?). Some of them can be hard to get a hold of! As older textures were hosted on sites such as megashare. -
Ok, so on the PUREST fluke imaginable, I seem to have fixed the problem I was having (I don't know if this is generalisable to other people with this crash...). I'd pretty much given up, but decided to try this, I thought it might be a longshot, but I fancy myself knowledgeable in programming, so thought this might work... So as I've said before, as I board the shuttle to go to the restoration zone, the game cuts to black and crashes. Essentially all I did was talk to Atton about my newly found amazing force powers (and play a game of pazzak, but that didn't seem to make a difference when I tried without). I then boarded the shuttle and made it to the surface and met Boa-Dur. This is with all the movies turned off, "allow windowed mode=1", and a couple other tweaks added in the config file (.ini). Although, the shuttle graphics are glitchy (no floor in the shuttle) when Atton says to 'Hold on tight, its gonna be rough'. Tried it separately, then together all together with TSLRCM, M478EP, and Super content mod (again I know this one is 'incompatible') - they now all seem to work with movies on (and off). I wonder if this is patchable, should this fix be universal.... Thanks for the Replies, and HOPEFULLY others will find some sanity in this fix. I think I've spent more time on finding a fix for this than I have on any one university project XD I've been at it for weeks!

I thought I should update. ( Seen as this is kind of a niche topic, maybe my failure might help someone else) Got a XP virtual environment running, patched and modded. Only to run the game and the graphics be bugged out. I then realised a massive derp had occurred when I remembered that VMware does not allow use of actual hardware graphics, meaning that I was using VMwares rubbish graphics drivers and not any of mine (intel or nVidia)... Next step (I was hoping to avoid, as XP is not supported anymore and cant multi-task) - Dual boot? Are there actually any other options at this point? I don't know who to hate more, Windows 8 for being so darn incompatible (not just with KOTOR2!), or Bioware for not releasing any compatibility patches (I know the game is 11 years old, but whats a guy gotta do around here to play a game he bought?!)....
