So this was a long time coming, way too long I was working on this but finally got it to a relatively good state. I mean it's still messed up in some ways but the biggest thing that gave me trouble was the experience points in alignment to the level-ups. I got that to work but you can't auto-level up lol sorry. But for the exp, I essentially needed to create code caves and track down a struct where the experience points for level-ups were stored. I had to change that offset when the game parses the exptable.2da at the beginning and in a function when you load a character. Other problems are that you can't see the "experience needed" for level ups but it's the same exact equation for calculating the needed exp for level-ups regardless and the same exact needed amounts like in KotOR 2 so peek at the exptable.2da for that I guess lol. And the other problems I know are that you can't get feats and force powers past level 21. You could always mess with the featgain.2da and classpowergain.2da for levels before 21. You can still get attributes and skills past level 21. And you could still be pretty op with all those attribute points, health point, and force power point increases. To install, make a backup of your old K1 exe and 2da files that would be replaced by this mod. Then just put the 2da files in the Override and replace the exe of course. Here is how I worked on it before, but I just fixed the exp problem today. I could go further than level 50, hell the code cave I made can fit way more exp storage data, I could go thousands more but I think 50 in itself is a bit overkill even lol. But no one says you have to keep leveling up anyways. And I just always thought that level 20 was a little too low and just figured matching KotOR 2's level cap was the way to go. I can do this same mod for KotOR 2 btw but I don't think it's needed that much. But if someone really wanted it I could put it out there too of course like raising that cap to 75 or something. Other purposes you can use for this mod are other mods in combination with this like Brotherhood of Shadow, other planet mods, and other mods that add more to the game. You can mod Malak's utc file on the last Star Forge module and make him a lot tougher and stronger to match your higher level character too! There could be other problems too so I might need to make patches for this more down the road. Edit: I fixed a lot of things now. You can download from here again I updated the downloads in this post too. 2das.rar swkotor.exe xptable.2da

Created by: Sith Holocron (and others listed in the credits section) Game: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (using Edge of Darkness mod) Version 1.0 Uploaded: 19 JUL 2025 Description: The Edge of Darkness Revenge Textural Reinterpretation mod was designed to upscale and/or enhance the many (oh so many) textures seen in the mod. It is an extensive mod pack (as might be indicated by the size) but as seen listed below, it is not a complete overhaul. Edge of Darkness uses textures from both KotOR1 and TSL. As there are already two fine upscale packages on Deadly Stream – and they both have liberal use policies – I was able to grab a bunch of upscales that already existed after renaming them to the Edge of Darkness conventions. (See credits section for the other mods that were sourced.) Some of the EoD textures required new upscales as many of them are simply recolored vanilla textures and I didn’t want to manually recolor all of the original textures. Some of the textures in Edge of Darkness are new or sourced from places outside the vanilla game. I’ve adjusted textures to my liking when I thought it would benefit the texture but I’ve attempted to remain faithful to the – shall we say unique? - visual style of his mod. New upscales were set to upscale at 4 times the original size. The exceptions to this scaling are textures that would be larger than 2048 x 2048 if upscaled at 4x. What’s not included and why: I have not upscaled the following categories of textures included with Edge of Darkness. Skyboxes (Many of these are custom made and/or already near the self-imposed 2048 x 2048 limit. They would not benefit from upscaling.) Inventory Items and their Icons - including clothing and weapons (Outside of the scope of my original plans) Action Icons (as I don’t think they’d benefit from upscaling) Absolutely ***anything*** by Kaidon Jorn (as I don’t think they’d benefit from upscaling) Most of the textures from Quanon (as they are close to my self-imposed size limit as they currently stand) Credits: Some ship textures and one animated computer panel in this collection were sourced from Dark Hope’s releases. Thanks to DH and her generosity in making permissions open for her mod. Many of the TSL textures were sourced from “RESOURCE:Topaz GigaPixel AI Upscales – K2” by Thor110. I give my thanks for this convenient modding resource. Many of the KOTOR1 textures that Edge of Darkness uses, I sourced upscales from what was originally called “KOTOR 1 Four Times ver 1.0” on Deadly Stream. It doesn’t appear to be on Deadly Stream now but I have found a version of that mod. It was uploaded to NexusMods as “KOTOR HD Galaxy Mod” - uploaded by SimplyCool988. Thanks to whoever the original unnamed author was for their open permissions, as listed in the read-me file. Minor assistance in re-adding transparencies to 5 LKA textures provided by 90sk. Moral Support graciously offered by Fair Strides. Legal Disclaimer: All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage of my textures in other mods must be requested and approved by me before your use.

There have been three major repositories of KotOR mods: PCGamemods.com between about 2004-2006, KotORFiles, between about 2007-2012, and DeadlyStream. PCGamemods.com tapped out at around 750 mods for KotOR and 800 for TSL, or roughly about 1550 mods total. KotORFiles'counter stopped working at 1978 files for both games. Today, DeadlyStream has 1200 KotOR files, and 1184 TSL files. This makes it the largest KotOR modding repository ever! 🎉

Original Review on Filefront: Star Wars if you look through all of the movies, games, fan media, ect. always had one thing in common, masks, and not your normal run of the mill costume masks that you could by at your local convenient store. They have these great elaborate masks that give them special abilities or give them some extra bounus that they need to do what they are doing. The only thing that is bad about those masks is that they are UUUUUUUUUUGLY (excluding a few choice ones of course.) Now you ask "SithRevan what can we do about these ugly masks that make our characters look stupid?". Well my friends I have the solution. Actually Shem our Site Manager and all around cool guy has come up with the solution... I am just reviewing it. Anyway though I am proud to announce that the solution to making the ugly masks go away is to simply make them invisible and that is exactly what Shem did. What this mod does is makes all of the default masks in the game completely invisible so that you can get the bonuses with out having to make a fashion statement in the process. So I say awesome work Shem. I am glad to see you have a couple cool mods left in ya. Now to all of the other out there waiting to get you greedy little hands on this treasure... Enjoy. Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -SithRevan

A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II MODIFICATION High Quality Blasters By Sithspecter Installation: Point the installer towards your Knights of the Old Republic II game folder (not the override folder) to install High Quality Blasters. Description: When Knights of the Old Republic II was released in December 2004, it made a number of improvements over the first installment. However, the blaster models were still the same low-quality models as before. After remastering all the blasters in the first game, I knew I had to make the same high-quality blasters available for the sequel. This mod completely replaces the existing blasters with newly modeled firearms, complete with high quality textures. Special care was taken to retain the form and look of the original items, but in a high quality package. Each weapon was carefully textured based on close examination of its default counterpart. It's a much improved package that I hope will be a permanent addition to your TSL override folder for years to come. Use: Use of High Quality Blasters is extremely easy. Run the installer, then play the game. That's it! The new models will automatically appear when you load up your last save. However, this mod does make a couple .uti changes to avoid doubling up on weapon textures. I've applied a new model and texture to a few items that share a model and texture in the default game. The following items are affected: Benok’s Blaster Blaster Rifle Heavy Repeating Blaster Rifle Plasma Projector What this means is that if you already have one of these items, it will still show up as high quality, but it will share a texture with another high quality item. If you re-acquire one of these through cheats or KSE, it will appear properly. This will not negatively affect the gameplay in anyway. Bugs: Due to differences between the body models (especially female), the weapons will sometimes appear to clip the hands (especially in the female off-hand). There is nothing I can do about this without introducing more issues, it is something that happens with the default weapons, and you will have to live with it. Credit: Thanks to 90SK, Fair Strides, Varsity Puppet, and Kexikus for providing feedback for this mod. Credit goes to Kexikus for the inspiration from your screenshots. They look fantastic so I modeled the screenshots for this mod after your High Definition Skyboxes mod. Original Review on Filefront: Remember Sherruk? He was that Mandalorian on Dantooine with all the trophy sabers he bragged about. Yet when you had to fight him he used blasters/swords. I know "civilians" aren't trained to use lightsabers, but that never stopped anybody before! So why didn't Sherruk use those sabers, huh?! UGH! If you reacted in the above manner when you first played KotOR then you're in luck. Shem brings us a lovely mod that, while simple in concept, adds a new dimension to that part of Dantooine. Sherruk will now attack you with those trophy sabers, just like a good arrogant fool would. Apaprently Shem also didn't think a lightsaber collector would be caught dead with only two lightsabers. Where Grievous had four, Sherruk shows his prowess by having a whopping seven on his mangled body when you're done with him! Check his body for some other surprises that have been included! ~Inyri

After some further testing, it seems like the problem is related to the editable executable itself. Even completely untouched, the crash happens on attempting to load any save. The default legacypc exe from Steam loads without issue. Is the download from https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1321-kotor-2-editable-executable/ not updated properly? Is there another exe out there that works?

This mod will replace and update Bastila Shans textures. Mainly her armor, underwear and head skin. Each has been given a size increase: 2048x2048pix. Which allowed me to put in a few more details. The slave outfit, when you meet Bastila, for the first time on Taris hasn't been updated, just yet. But I felt, that I could release this anyway and at a later date do the slave outfit. Redrob also contributed an update to Bastilas head model, he fixed nasty bugs on her UVmap, which improved on how her skin gets applied to the model. And this ofcourse just improves the whole thing overall! Added a second version: this one is even more "vanilla", eyes are differant; less vibrant lipstick and make-up. Thanks Redrob! Version 1.3: A reworked head skin; now also comes with 4 hair colors to pick from. Underwear model has been tweaked to match the new head. Her regular outfit has NOT been altered.

Original Review on Filefront: Well now this is a site for sore eyes, Shem the manager of this wonderful site has submitted to me a great looking mod that he should be very proud of. So have any of you guys lately ever though that maybe kotor was getting a little boring? Well this one will fix that, what is does is it makes 90% of the stores in Kotor 1 better. What I mean by that is they will now give you more useful items for your journey. This mod was inspired by Shem's thought of people who have mastered this game, they know how to get butt loads of credits but they really have nothing to spend them on. So this is where this one comes in. My personal opinion of this mod is it is great, the idea is really a winner. Making more useful merchants in the game allows for more poeple to actually have what they need when they get stuck between a Dark Jedi and a hard place. So all in all I say this is on of the most well crafted mods that I have seen in a while. So to you Shem great job I think you did a wonderful job! Now to all of the people I have to say download this mod if you want to have an overall better game...and as always...Enjoy! Original Review on FIlefront: As promised, the Knights of the Old Republic II update of Shem's Custom Party Member Portraits mod is here! For those of you unfamiliar with the mod, Shem has replaced all of the party member portraits--and I mean all party members. The new portraits are close-up screenshots on a light-colored background, as opposed to the hand-drawn style of the originals. Now, one of the major differences between KotOR I and KotOR II is that in K1 there are only nine party members, and that was it. Well, ten if you include Trask. And you can't change any of their alignments (without cheating ), so they have no dark side transitions. Well, in K2, everything changes. There are a total of twelve party members, several of which have dark side transitions. And of course Shem has made new portraits for each party member, dark side transitions included. Note that this only applies to the five trainable Jedi: Atton, Bao-Dur, Brianna the Handmaiden, Mical the Disciple, and Mira. If and when they fall to the dark side, they will get the Sith eyes featured in one of Shem's other mods. Visas doesn't have any eyes, so instead she gets a different color background, and she faces in a different direction. Oh, and Bao-Dur also has his dark side tattoos. Now, remember how I said that every party member gets a portrait? Well, yup, all of them, including C3-FD, that little utility droid from the Prologue (for those of you who even play it ), as well as temporary characters B-4D4 and Bao-Dur's remote. And even Atris gets a new portrait, even though she's not actually a party member; there is some evidence that the developers intended for her to be one originally, since they took the time to make her a portrait, and some her files have the "Player_" prefix reserved for party members. In any case, Shem decided to give Atris a new portrait, for fun (apparently ). And not only that, but there are a few alternates to choose from. Just like in the K1 version, HK-47 gets an alternate portrait, featuring the smart-mouthed assassin droid brandishing one of his beloved blaster rifles. Also included is an alternate portrait for Kreia her hood off, to go along with another mod Shem released, and Mandalore/Canderous with his helmet off, since Obsidian made a Canderous model with his helmet off, but never had time to add it to the game. Not much else to say. If you like the new portraits, then click the download button now. Enjoy! NOTE: Please leave comments/feedback for the author, especially if you download and use this mod; usually it's the only reward modders receive for their efforts. ~JC
