View File HD Holo HD Holo ================================= MOD AUTHOR: Olegkuz1997 FOR WHICH GAMES: For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Description: ---------------- What does this mod do? Nothing much. This mod is a remake of the final scene with Admiral Dodonna's transmission, and more specifically, a remake of the hologram textures of the two characters. This mod is pretty rudimentary, I enlarged the original textures with AI and then manually edited them in photoshop. Tried to give the effect of "interference" and glow. Did it for myself, but if anyone wants it, take it. Yes, I'm aware of the awesome DarthParametric mod, but there were two things I didn't like about it: too strong blue color that kills the rest, and the lack of glow from the hologram. In his mod, the work is much more comprehensive, with redesigned UVs and models, which I have no idea about. Naturally, you have to choose between my mod and DarthParametric's mod, as they are done with different approach. There might be some questions about the hue, as it's not really "blue". It's actually something between the movies and the in-game version (turquoise). In the end, this is a texture mod, so anyone can open the file in paint or photoshop and adjust the color to their liking. Installation: ---------------- Drop tga and txi files in your game’s Override folder. To uninstall: ---------------- Take them out again. Known bugs: ----------------- Holo-Vandar turned out great, but Dodonna was a bit of a letdown. The whole thing is, I think, that she has an incorrect, and frankly crappy "mirror" model, so the textures of "interference" are not quite correctly displayed. Oh yeah, and she's also a bit translucent (eyeballs and mouth). I had to make the head textures brighter to try and hide these details. But overall, it's not too bad. I recorded a little video where you can see for yourself. But in general, this is a normal texture mod, so there should be no problems. Thank you for the feedback! Yes, there is another type of hologram texture in the game, rakata, and I also made it for myself, but the thing is, I took the mod DarthParametric as a basis. He has the best models and rakata move mouth, as well as redesigning camera angles and other "quality of life". Obviously he has more knowledge. He uses a different kind of textures (not blending based) so his holograms don't glow. Of course, you could say that rakata has a different, more "outdated technology" or something. Anyway, I'll see what I can do.

View File Fat Commoner Body Models - Modder's Resource This is a modder’s resource that provides some additional commoner body models that can be used for NPCs. The game includes body models for fat male and female commoners, each using a custom texture with no variants. They are unused. Originally, as part of the K1 Community Patch, a fat-ified version of the standard male commoner body was made to be used for Handon on Dantooine. This allowed it to use the regular commoner textures. As of K1CP v1.10.0, this addition has been removed, so the assets are now being made available for third party mods to make use of. Additionally, the vanilla female fat commoner model has had some adjustments made to its UVs so that it can also make use of the regular commoner texture variants. A simple TSLPatcher setup has been provided that edits the two vanilla appearance rows to switch their texture assignments, as well as adding new rows using all the regular NPC heads. Note to regular users: Installing this package by itself will do nothing as the game does not make use of the vanilla fat commoner appearance rows. It requires other authors to create content utilising it. Permissions: This is a modder’s resource, and thus intended to be utilised by the community. You can freely incorporate the included assets in your mod. Simply provide credit to the Community Patch team and link back to this page. Do not redistribute/rehost this resource as-is elsewhere. So I have been experimenting a bit more with it, making some adjustments. @seedhartha helped by fixing up an issue with the rig of Malak's stunt model to allow the facial animations to work. I have been looking at the original video and comparing it to my in-game capture and looking at the animations in Max to try an sort out the lip sync timing issues. I'm not sure if it's due to the frame rate of the video (29.97fps) or something else, but the individual shot lengths don't match the individual animation lengths (30fps). For example, the first shot's animation is 16.4667 seconds, but the first shot in 09.bik is only 16.383 seconds. Not sure what the best approach to fix it might be, whether I can massage the audio to better match the animation, or if I should try and adjust the animation to match the audio.

Summary This mod uses a mix of new and unused content to restore an alternate ending that was cut from the game. With this mod, players who have romanced Carth and fallen to the dark side will be presented with the option to seek redemption in a new ending distinct from the base game light side and dark side endings. Choosing the dialogue option "No, let him speak. I want to hear what he has to say." in a conversation with Carth at the end of the game will lead to the restored sequence. The player will then have the option to choose the base game dark side ending or the new ending. Installation Extract files from the downloaded archive. Run Install.exe. ************************************** Knights of the Old Republic I & II ************************************** TITLE: Movement Animation Fix for both KOTOR and TSL AUTHOR: ZimmMaster FILENAME: zm_fixes.7z FILESIZE: 1.59 MB when unzipped -------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------- To start the install run the TSLPatcher, choose an install option and follow the on-screen instructions. To uninstall, remove the files copied to the Override folder by the TSLPatcher and then move the files from the backup folder that was created by the TSLPatcher to the Override folder. ------------ DESCRIPTION ------------ This mod fixes the movement animations for the KotOR games. What it does is alter a couple key collumn values in the appearance.2da file to remove that waddle-like walk that came with the patches to a more neutral walk. It has four different install options when the patcher is run. One is the walking animation fix for KOTOR and the other three are for TSL allowing you to install the walking, running, or both animation fixes. The changes in the KOTOR version fixes a few things I did not notice before in the previous version of this mod. The changes include; changing the values from 2.70 ---> 2.60 as the walk ended up being too slow, removed unnecessary coding in the changes.ini file, and some fixed spelling errors in the setup. The running animation fix for TSL was a bit more complicated but I eventually changed the values in the rundist and driveanimrun_pc collumns that Obsidian used to the ones BioWare used in the first game and it turned out all right. Enjoy! ----- BUGS ----- None that I’m aware of.
