1 pointIt's been a long time since I've made a WIP thread here on Deadlystream, usually I just make a mod in private and (if it is finished) I release it. This WIP thread isn't about a single mod, however. The release of my latest mod, Diverse Galaxy, marks the beginning of my NPC Overhaul series. The NPC Overhaul series shall be multiple mods which 'Overhaul' many of the NPCs within Kotor 1 (with the possibility of K2 versions of these mods being made at a later date). Kotor has a reputation of having a sort of 'clone' effect where you'll see the same set of generic heads in close proximity to each other in-game. the Diverse Galaxy mod will swap the appearances of over 150 NPCs to ensure that you'll encounter more variety in the game, this mod only changes the NPC's heads and will not affect the Lite NPCs. As the K1 Community Patch is REQUIRED for this mod to work the Lite NPC's will be upgraded by the K1CP mod anyway. As this is a series, more mods are planned to be made which do similar things for the game's NPCs, however, I am at a lost as to how the first few mods should be made. I wanted to release these mods separately so that users can install what they want, but I also have the option of simply adding these first few mods directly into the Diverse Galaxy mod as part of updates. The mod ideas are as follows: * Diverse Galaxy: Will diversify the heads and appearances of Kotor's NPCs. RELEASED! * Fashion of the Old Republic: Will diversify the clothing of Kotor's NPCs and will apply lore-friendly armor when applicable (This armor does not drop) RELEASED! * Lite of my Life: Will convert the generic NPCs who use the Lite appearances into standard generic NPCs, will use the heads, appearances and clothing style as DG and FotOR meaning this mod would be installed 3rd alongside them both. RELEASED! These mods will all use vanilla assets and won't really 'add' anything to the game other than swapping out appearances/clothing in the .MOD files, this would make it easy for me to add these 3 mods into one mod. I'm thinking of having 3 separate TSLPatcher installations with one being Diverse Galaxy, the other being Fashion of the Old Republic and 3rd being Lite of my Life. Feel free to leave your opinions and suggestions!

1 pointView File NPC Diversity Pack [Beta/K1] NPC Diversity Pack [K1] A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 0.8.0 Beta Release Date: 04.04.2024 Installation: Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod! If you plan on using it, install the Unofficial K1CP Tweak Pack mod SECOND (This mod is optional and is NOT required for this mod to work)! Once you click on the HoloPatcher.exe, you'll be given a few install options. 1) Main mod: Installs the actual mod (edits over 600 NPCs so this may take a few minutes to install). 2) Player Head Commoners: This install will add new commoner NPCs who use the player heads. This option will greatly diversify the Kotor galaxy as there are so many player head commoners it's unlikely you'll see them twice in one playthrough, and it greatly reduces the already existing generic commoner heads. If a player head commoner uses the player's head, it will be swapped for another head (So if you're playing Mullet Man then the Mullet Man who appears in-game will use a different head). You WILL have to install this option AFTER the main mod. Description: As with many modders, I have a vision for a comprehensive NPC Overhaul. This mod is currently in a BETA stage, whilst I don't expect bugs, I do expect player criticism/feedback alongside reports of possible mod conflicts with certain mods... updates will be released to fix any possible bugs, add popular player suggestions, possible hotfixes for incompatible mods and new content as they become possible. What does this mod do? This mod is comprised of several smaller mods that have been merged into one big mod, resulting in an immersive NPC Overhaul which is compatible with the K1 Community Patch. This mod swaps the heads of hundreds of NPCs to prevent the 'clone' effect, it replaces the low poly Lite NPCs with actual NPC appearances, it diversifies the clothing, armor and weapons worn by NPCs without touching any of the NPC Loot drops, it modifies the .GIT files in some areas to remove duplicated NPCs, it swaps the soundsets of over 200 NPCs so that the enemies you fight have a truly random "death grunt" sound as they die and MORE! With this mod, over 600 NPCs will be affected (including NPCs which are commonly affected by other mods). It is HIGHLY advised to install this mod (AFTER the K1CP mod) BEFORE you install any new appearance mods. For example, Galaxy of Faces is a mod which adds new appearances. Installing the NPC-DP BEFORE that mod will allow you to have GoF appearances alongside the NPC-DP's NPC Overhaul. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs, but if there are feel free to report it to me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Please report any incompatibilities! Player head commoners are affected by player head reskins, if you install weird player head reskins (The Mullet Man to DC Universe Joker for example) then the player head commoner with Mullet Man's head will use that skin. Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. Thanks to: ebmar: For his attempt at fixing a problem with the TSLPatcher pre-0.4.1! JCarter426/DarthParametric: For pointing out major flaws with the old TSLPatcher setups. SpaceAlex: For fixing the old clothing bug in his K1 Enhancement Project for which his fix was carried over to this mod! Cortisol/th3w1zard1: For the HoloPatcher! Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool! Bioware: For such an amazing game! Everyone who downloads the mod! 1 pointAnyone knows how to find out what the texture atlas for the sandcrawler in KOTOR is called? tried lta*, san*, cra*, sc*, mine*, tat* nothing comes up for either texture or even the model itself (Holocron Toolset). maybe it's not a texture atlas, just a bunch of various textures they found randomly for other stuff and used it for the model... either way, seems impossible to find. it's such a low res texture, would be good with an upgrade.
-
1 pointresult eh, kind of better at least can you edit room models? like adding assets to them? is it difficult?
-
1 pointIt's inside a room model named after the module it's from. Search for it at the "Core" tab in the toolset you are using. Then search for tat_m18aa, you would see a few numbered models. I think it was the fourth model of the area.

1 pointView File Missing K1 Party Member Ports for TSL [Modder's Resource] MODDER'S RESOURCE FOR STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: THE SITH LORDS This modder's resource includes models and textures of Jolee, Juhani, Mission and Zaalbar that are ported from KotOR 1 to be usable in KotOR 2: TSL. I have also included character templates (in UTC format) for them, allowing you to spawn them as NPCs in your mod. This resource is made because Jolee, Juhani, Mission and Zaalbar never make any physical appearance in TSL, thus their textures and models do not exist within TSLs game files. However, both appearance.2da and heads.2da of TSL, including vanilla, still include entries for these characters, so if you want to make them appear as NPCs in TSL, there is no need to create extra entries for them in said 2DA files. PERMISSION: This modder's resource is free to use in any mod you create or release. Credit is appreciated, but not required. 1 pointThanks! How did you find out what the model name was? What's the name of the blender plugin?
-
1 pointI just looked the mesh on blender and it says it uses a single texture called V_dShanty01, which is quite big. It's 1024x1024, but for a mesh that huge it seems low-res. Good luck if you want to upgrade it!

1 pointView File Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade [LEH_Scre02] MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 04 FEB 2023 GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Description: This mod collection replaces the LEH_scre02 textures found around the Ebon Hawk include much of the cockpit area, the room with the holoprojector, and other various EH locations. (The older version that was primarily made by Dark Hope will continue will still be available in my other releases in case this mod isn’t to your taste.) You may be wondering: "Why did this need to be made? You already animated Dark Hope’s texture so why not stop there?" Fair questions and I’ll answer it here to save folks from having to ask later. I do love DH’s LEH_scre02 texture as it’s very neatly designed. However as it is so neat, it does seem to be veering away from the vanilla aesthetic. It’s for that reason that inspired me to make my own attempt. First, I started with an upscale kindly provided to me by ConansHair of the LTA_scre02.tga texture. This texture - with some exceptions that will become quite apparent - are a slightly higher resolution in the vanilla texture so that’s why it was chosen. I’ve heard this unused texture as “the weird baby version” or “nightmare fuel.” (Before you ask, they are likely the developer’s babies born during KotOR1’s development.) I recolored the green parts to match LEH_scre02’s blue. Then there was this portion of the texture (already recolored blue): It lost a little bit of its shape during upscale, so I decided that now needed work. I took a portion from my Peragus Medical Monitors and Computer Panel mod and added to blue bars that can be seen in the picture above. Some minor recoloring of the planet as well. Other things done to the “nightmare fuel” texture: Added a wireframe of the Ebon Hawk in the standard monitor colors. Of course, animated as usual. Grabbed a top-down view of the EH from a menu and fiddled with it so both sides of the EH would be shown. I then added some subtle (for me, anyway) animations to the two places on the texture it is seen. Copied some knobs from that same menu to replace the ones in the texture. Added new versions of LEDs to cover the misshapen ones from the upscale. I added animations where I deemed it prudent. Replaced three of the monitors with textures that seemed to more closely match the aesthetic. (One of these is animated, the other two are stationary images.) Added tachometer type gauges, animating some of them. Adding animation to that 5 x 4 row of buttons. After all of these were done and looked over for issues by a top-notch beta team, I asked ebmar if he could add “glass overlays” to the monitors. An overlay free version is also available. Ebmar was also able to convert the 4K texture into a 2K TPC reducing the file size for everyone. Constructive criticism is welcome. Here’s a video preview of the texture in action. "Ah ha!" I hear some of you cry. "But what about this!?!" "What are those weird overlays on that texture?" you exclaim. Those have always been present on the model. And as this a texture mod and not a model mod, you know what the Mod Requests section is for. (So go on now. Scoot.) Installation: For either game – If already present in your Override folder, delete LEH_scre02.tpc, LEH_scre02.tga and LEH_scre02.txi (or move them to your Desktop) Then after extracting the contents of the 7z file, choose from the Overlay and Non-Overlay folders which TPC file you wish to use for your Ebon Hawk and place it in your Override folder. To Uninstall: Delete LEH_scre02.tpc from your Override folder. Known Bugs: None known at this time. If you do encounter one, please note it on the download page and tag me in the comment. I’ll see if I can suss out the issue.
