About This File

Genoharadan - Light Side

Description:
One of the more exciting subplots in KotOR was the Genoharadan, a secret guild of assassins that your player could join and hunt multiple targets across the galaxy. Sadly, you couldn't complete this quest without accumulating a whole lot of Dark Side Points - until now.

This mod allows you to spare the lives of Vorn Daasraad, Rulan Prolik, Ithorak Guldar and Lorgal (There's an option to let Zuulan go free in the game already so I've not changed anything there). You'll gain Light Side points for letting them live.

Finally, each of the targets you let live will appear during your final battle with Hulas on Tatooine. There you can, if you really want to, kill all of the Genoharadan Overseers at once.

Installation:
Run the TSLPatcher and select your KotOR game directory.

Compatibility:
Incompatible with any mod that alters the Genoharadan quests, characters or dialogs.

Bugs:
Not really a bug but something worth mentioning; if you kill Rulan Prolik on Tatooine he won't transform in to his true form upon death, he'll just die as he is.

No others bugs I can think of. If you come across any, please let me know.

Sidenotes:
You will need Force Persuade and a high Persuade skill

I had a lot of trouble trying to work out how to save Rulan
and the end result is a bit iffy: to do it you have to converse with one of the tachs that isn't him in disguise and kill it pretending it is.

Very good idea!  This will definitely be downloaded in time for my next playthrough!

Thanks! You know, this mod was actually inspired by your Bendak Starkiller mod.

Nice mod, thank you so much for making it!

A question though: Exactly how high of a persuade skill do you need to convince Hulas that you killed Zuulan? I just failed multiple times with a persuade of 20. I really like the mod, but I don't want to keep spending all my skill points on persuade for consecutive levels just to get past that part & would like to know what the magic number is if you know.

I do realize you don't need to convince him you that killed both of the first 2 to continue with the quest, and I'll probably have moved on with just convincing him I killed Lorgal by the time this is answered, but for all future people wondering how much it will take it would be nice to have the answer here for them.

Thanks again for a great mod!

Short answer, I don't know. I didn't edit anything to do with Zuulan because the option to let him go is in the game already. I'll take a look at it though, it's not something I really tried (when testing the mod I just used Lorgal). As it stands, this mod is simply a new option for people who want it - it's not as developed as I'd like it to be and I hope to expand upon it in the future. Until then I'd recommend just taking care of Lorgal.

Thanks for your feedback, it means a lot!

It is Impossible to Persuade him that you killed Zuulan when you didn't! That's how Bioware made the game!

Ah, I didn't know that. I'll change that when I next update the mod. I'll probably change Zuulan completely in that case. Thanks for letting me know!

How about Vorn? How much skill do you need to have in his case?

You need Force Persuade to convince Vorn not to fight and a high persuade skill to convince Hulas you didn't kill his agents

Worked perfectly. Very necessary MOD.

Just bad feelings at the very end, leaving go without punishment all that scum for a few Light Side points...

Btw, hard to convince Hulas about the agents send to Tatooine. With a total Persuade skill 22 and Charisma 29 (with gadgets), it has cost to me 5 attemps reloading the game for KotOR's dice give success to me.

Maybe it’s better to make a mod where, if you don’t meanly kill a target (set traps, kill prisoners), and if you fight them honestly - face to face, where they can also kill you, this will not lead to the dark side. In an honest fight, nothing happens - no points of darkness, no points of light. In this case, if I remember correctly, you will get a point of darkness only for the first, and you can honestly fight with the rest.

This is an interesting idea lol, and I say this as a person who likes going the darkside route lol. Lol, I wish there was a mod which allowed one to take over the GenoHaridan after killing all of the bosses including Hulas lol.
