Selkath with lightsabers

Sorry, I cant wait an entire year. So I am trying to make this myself but I had some complications. Can you give some tips of how to proceed?

After many ups and downs, I finished. Unfortunately is not as good as the one that Darth Parametric made, but without any better...

Like Kol Skywalker would say: "You take what is given"

Sorry, its just that soon I wont be able to play anything for a long time, maybe even years. So before that, I wanted to play kotor a last time as complete as possible.

That was already the intention.

 

I've added some upper lip weighting, but it's still not quite like the vanilla. Will try changing the lobes to dangly meshes and then post a video.

 

Edit: Here we go, although there are some shading issues on the lobes causing some odd effects from the spec map.

 

 

 

I'm a bit vague on the settings, so they could do with some tweaking. Some extra subdivisions may help smooth out the jankiness as well.

This looks great! I've wanted to replace Atton's appearance with with Selkath_02 (mostly because playing KotOR 2 light side lacks npc party aliens who don't look like humans, but also as a nod to early concepts of Han Solo being a green fish-like alien),  but the lack of animations always bugged me.

@DarthParametric Do you still intend to port the TOR model next year? If not I'd love to get a copy of what you've already made in the Selkath_02 and Selkath_03 color variants.

I must say, it is a shame that we'll have to wait another 11 months for this. I wouldn't mind using what you have already, Darth, as I'm sure everyone else won't. But who am I to judge? If you believe it would be better suited for the mod's quality to wait another year, then I don't mind.

Hey folks! Sorry to bug, additionally sorry to revive an old topic (I know this is generally frowned upon) but is this mod still being worked on, or planned for release? 

I ask mostly because, while I played through KOTOR as a Selkath (I did have to swap models out for a few cutscenes that would freeze the game otherwise, however!) I tried being a Selkath in TSL and it seems that if you don't have the proper animation for a certain action (in this case the more powerful attacks with both sabers and blasters as well as disarming mines) you won't be able to perform said action at all. 

It seems like, assuming this mod would move the Selkath character model over to a human animation skeleton, this would solve my problems and that I would be able to play through TSL as a Selkath with no issues, with the possibility of some non-compatible armors aside. 

I understand that it's been a while and that interest may have waned as other projects have come to the forefront, (I also understand that my wanting to play as a Selkath puts me in a small niche at best) however I figured asking couldn't hurt anything... Hopefully! Hope you folks are havin' an excellent day, and keep up the amazing work! :thumbup:

Well, I don't know if @Alvar007 may be up to this new, daunting task but it'd certainly be nice if we could have Selkath weild melee weapons. There are several fights in the game that involve them and seeing them using fists and feet in melee is kind of depressing and somewhat ridiculous.

I cannot even imagine the amount of work something like this may require but I'd bet it's quite scary.
