Crash on Intro G0-T0 scene - Nar Shaddaa

Traveling to Nar Shadda after Telos. This occurs right after the cutscene of G0t0's yacht.

Yes I have.

3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

GOG version.

4) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?

This is a freshly DL'd game with a fresh install of TSLRCM.

6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)

7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?

This crash happens right after g0t0's yacht appears for the first time and g0t0 is introduced with his bounty hunters. Crashes always.
8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?

Yes.

9) Have you tried using a different save game?

Yes.
10) Have you tried starting a new game?

No. I am to far into this to start again.

11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

Windows 8.1

12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?

Yes. TSLRCM is functioning correctly.

13) What language is your game set for?

English.

14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using?

Please help, nothing I do works. Others with the same problem have mods that alter g0t0's .txi, I do not have this.

Never mind everyone, I fixed it. I uninstalled 90SK's mod and voila it worked. I will now reinstall it and hope no further cut scene problems like this occur. I don't know what 90sk's mod could have to do with this. It specifically states it requires TSLRCM to work but getting rid of it fixed the issue so I am happy.

I got to G0-T0's ship and the crashing has resumed.

 

I have found the reason for 90sk's mod not working properly. There is a missing light.uti file which is causing crashes on g0t0's ship.

My game crashes when I click the G0t0 audience chamber door. First the screen goes black (as per any cutscene start) but swiftly afterwards the game freezes and half a minute later a Windows application crash screen pops up.

- Upon clicking the G0T0 Audience Chamber door (it's when you regain control over your main character). I've also seen another post here regarding the same issue but none of the tips helped (to turn solo mode on or run on the main system, not VM)

 Yes.

- N/A

Windows XP SP3 (VM) and Windows 7 (crashes on either).

It's entitled "Crash during G0T0 yacht rescue" so I can only assume it's a CDT or somesuch.

I experienced the same problem at the beginning of the Nar Shaddaa. But the crashed occurs for all the GOTO Yacht scenes....

My bad, I've updated the original post with some more information and added links to the mods I use.

But allow me to repeat:

 

My game crashes when I click the G0t0 audience chamber door. First the screen goes black (as per any cutscene start) but swiftly afterwards the game freezes and half a minute later a Windows application crash screen pops up.

 

Now, what I did so far is:

- tried different exec files (normally I use the original one),

- removed the override folder,

- ran the game on two platforms Windows XP and 7 64 bit.

 

None of the above helped.

Hey friends.  At least, the Loot & Immersion Mod is the only one which is not compatible with the TSLRCM 1.8.4.

It changes the HKs and G0-T0's environment map in appearance.2da to CM_Baremetal and also uses a modified P_Gt.tga, for G0-T0. I haven't had the crash issue with the changes and that is the only thing affecting G0-T0 and HKs on G0-T0's yacht from Loot & Immersion upgrade. 

 

Try installing TSLRCM and then Loot/Immersion Upgrade in that order. Also try turning off frame buffer effects. I run those two mods and I haven't had this problem, but "light.uti" was an old file reference in the installer only.

I've had that exact problem more than once. Same fix works every time. Just make a quicksave before clicking the door. If it crashes, restart the game and load that quicksave, it should work just fine

Sadly, It only "kind of worked". When I save "just before clicking", it makes no difference. If I save "as I click the door", game crashes but I can reload in to the room with two bots and nothing else inside. I can run around for a short while and a few second later the game crashes anyway.

Now, perhaps we could try a different approach - would anyone be willing to do the door opening and going through the sequence on my save and uploading it back here?
