Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8.4

I did shoot him a PM a while ago. We'll have to wait because it didn't seem to be a high priority for him, from what I gathered.

This might be the wrong place to say it, but you could have restored the "Threatening Goto" content on his yacht where you threatened to use a certain skill to disable his vessel, but he turned the air off.

Azgath N'Dul's Tomb Bug

 

1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?

 

After leaving Telos the first time: Dxun > Iziz > Dantooine > Dxun > Iziz

 

The bug occurs in second visit to Iziz.

2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.3b and 1.1b respectively)

TSLRCM 1.8.3B.  Did not install M4-78EP 1.1B.

3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

Steam

4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)
5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?

Fresh install.

6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)

Talking to Kemar Elim about the visa, the dialog options are: "[Lie] No, not yet." or "No, not yet."  
Even though the visa is in my inventory.

Yes.

9) Have you tried using a different save game?'

Yes.

10) Have you tried starting a new game?

No.

11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

 32-bit XP SP3

12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?

I don't think this would have an effect on the Tomb of Azgath N'Dul, but Alternate Revan Romances is not compatible with TSLRCM. Just a heads up.

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I have installed TSLRCM recently.  It is GREAT! really ties up some loose ends "I've played TSL without it  about 20 times"  It really fixed some bugs I've been having with the load screens and other glitches, but it may have added some new bugs "about 4" that really get in the way of gameplay on select maps.  I have the 4 disc Kotor 2 with English.  I only have TSLRCM mod downloaded onto my computer, I have tried to reinstall the TSLRCM mod but it doesn't  help, this is my 2nd time around with the mod and these bugs still occur, some are hard to explain, so when I can I will try to add some screenshots later of these problems

 

1. the eye glitch

 

Happens on Peragus fuel depot, Nar Shadda "Voggas warehouse and the landing pad swoop bike area is worst on NS"  IZIZ everywhere, Dantooine Every map, Telos is the only planet I know for sure that I don't have these problems.

 

what it is = at the point of view, there will be the invisible shape of an eye that basically cuts through entities "like force fields, your player, chests, other people, doors like there not even there sometimes like on Nar Shadda swoop track it is focused on one area, so if you look in that direction, it appears, and if you look away it disappears. It gets small and large depending on where your looking at or on in the maps.  Gets annoying when you try to play and can not even see your player at times !

 

2. stealth mode

 

happens everywhere you use stealth

 

basically these gold snake-like things just surround whoever puts on stealth mode, and instead of person disappearing, there turn into a gray silhouette, when disabling stealth mode, it returns to the normal purple static that disappears, and Sith assassins stay in this "gold snake" shape after they've been hit, just annoying but can live with.

 

and now some minor glitches/bugs

 

3. no static background when kreia/Atton telepathically or message you from comlink, there is just no Camera effects " like the waves or blueness" to them, almost as if there in front of you when speaking, also no background view effects when using for speed

 

4.  dantooine exterior cave bug

 

outside cave on dantooine, I get major lag and I almost teleport far away from where I start, and it wont let me move any direction but towards the cliff during lag, then Poof I land new broken swoop bike.

 

there is some other minor stuff "really random containers on Peragus second time around" that I'm forgetting, but isn't too bad, if I have to I may uninstall the game and reinstall tslrcm if no good solutions present themselves.

Sounds a bit as if you disabled Frame Buffer Effects for some reason (or atleast bug 2 and 3 sound that way).

Open swkotor2.ini and check if there is a "Disable Frame Buffer Effect=1" line (maybe without the spaces) and if there is, set it to 0 and see if it worked.

your right I had it disabled, I hoped it would have helped computer run smoother, but I guess not, odd It wasn't in where you indicated, no matter I turned it back on thank you!

 

now ill see if it improves

Also, bugs 2 and 3 might be a hardware issue if it's not Frame Buffer effects. I know that when I had an Intel card those visual overlays and Stealth thing weren't supported and so I got what you had.

2 and 3 have been fixed thanks!,  I've also remembered another of those bugs when looking at some logs, 

 

happens = all logs and holocrons that display droid or human subjects

 

what happens = with a holocrons of a human the visible parts of the eyes are enlarged and blown out of the skull when speaking, so these wave/curve like things are shown on the outside of the body, about a foot away. droids however are much worse, they turn into a giant blue ball of shrapnel when viewed.  this one again is hard to explain and ill try to take a screenshot.

Just sounds like how the engine renders holo's to me (both that and issue 1). Screenshot will help, yeah.

 

As for lag on Dantooine add "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" under [Graphic Options] in swkotor2.ini.

None of them are TSLRCM issues.

1.8.4 has been out for a couple of days... so from this point forward only reports made with said version!

the bug/glitch is that after the jedi enclave i leave dantooine and everything is normal up until i get to telos instead of doing a movie scene with kreia and atris it makes me go straight out of where you would leave from the ebon hawk (i can even go back into it and go to all the planets and such and if i leave the ebon hawk and go back into telos (the academy) i can get my companions to come with me other wise i couldn't) and if i go to the meditation room the door is sealed and if i try to get into it it says something like "The door is sealed and is cold to the touch you don't see any means of opening it" but i guess what the glitch really is that some how it didn't trigger the betrayal kreia with atris scene nor handmaiden 

if Hassat is reading this i was the one who asked you where the bug report is (i am "The Marksman" from steam)

Best (as usual) would be to provide a savegame so I can check if it's anything in the game, or if it runs just fine for me, probably something on your PC (generally incompatible mods or leftover files people never removed).

Hey Hassat hunter, I have had a glitch also (I solved the issue, but I though you should know)... with my tslrcm1.8.4, I cannot train bao-dor to be a jedi until I have built a lightsaber. In the past I have been able to but my game just seems to crash if I do it that way

 

(I have tested this with two playthroughs and it happened both times - one with other mods and one just with TSLRCM installed)

It's possible I just messed something up, but for some reason the Masked Attacker never spawned when I was investigating the blaster on Telos.

Sorry for the potato quality picture, but I feel this is a poorly worded tooltip. It occurs during the boarding of the Ebon Hawk at the end of Peragus when you try to enter the sealed storage compartment in the Ebon Hawk. It reads "This door has been sealed as soon as the interior of the Hawk was breached and will not open." Maybe it's just the "has been" that makes it sound clumsy, and replacing it with "was" would fix it.

It's always been that way, just wasn't shown by the resolutions provided. Of course widescreen now shows some things previously hidden :/

Look again. This isn't the prologue.

 

The tooltip refers to a breach by hostiles.

My mistake. :/

 

That's still kind of clumsy, then. The hostiles never used any charges I could see. Which begs the question, how did they get in? (Which also requires one to know how the Sith Troopers get in during the Peragus escape, considering you would have closed the landing ramp before facing the enemies with the cannons; also if THEY used charges to get in, then how is the Hawk still spaceworthy for the escape into the asteroids?) This is causing a bigger dilemma the more I think about it...
