  1. Is there a way to create a new Disguise that I can apply to a unique or created piece of gear to put onto one of my party members? Specifically I am trying to create a 4th Mandalorian Alien disguise to which has a unique armor/color and then apply the disguise to a piece of armor that Canderous can use. I'm not exactly sure how this process would work. I tried creating a new row in appearance.2da and I copied and pasted one of the mandalorian rows and just went up 1 number. I then put the mdl/mdx/tga files in override and I tried to create an armor using kotor tool but I couldnt add the new disguise as it wasn't an option. Is there something I can do to make it show up on kotor tool or is there a way to manually edit it and create the uti file? I got the idea from JC's mandalorian mod:
  2. Not sure what is causing this, but I followed the instructions for all mods and uniws but when I start my game my screen looks like this. Any help? 1. Downloaded modded exe off deadlysteam 2. Use uniws to patch kotor 1 (1280x960) 3. downloaded (mod) moved over files from (2560x1440) into override 4. Use the hi res patcher included in the file and typed (2560), (1440), (no), (swkotor.exe) 5. downloaded (mod) and moved into override 6. Boot the game and my main menu looks like this and cant see anything: Something I noticed when using the hi-res patcher, after pressing any key to continue windows asks to run the exe. and then the cmd prompt dissapears, not sure if this is suppose to happen or if I'm suppose to see something first?
  3. hello everyone, pardon me for a (possibly) stupid post but- i have been looking for a guide to help me learn how to WRITE a mod for kotor1, but have had little success. can anyone recommend the programs/techniques that people have used? i'm not trying to steal anyone's work, i'd just appreciate some help. this is my first time here, so sorry if this is a bad post.
  4. Hello all! So I decided to replay KOTOR again, this time on my phone because I have a long train trip coming up and I just finished Jedi Survivor so now I want to keep playing Star Wars. I decided to mod my game this time using this guide: Working on this yesterday everything went well. I was able to extract the save file using iTunes and edit it using KSE (all I want to do is change my credits from 103 to 9000). However, I'm struggling with the final steps of moving the file back to my iPhone: (when I follow these steps the save on my phone remains unchanged. Is there another way of moving the file back to my iPhone?) How to add saves to iPad/iPhone: Connect iPad to PC/Mac with iTunes. Place save folder in a folder with path: KOTOR/saves/ Capitalization matters Compress the KOTOR folder into a zip file. If you don't have a program that can do this for you, I would recommend WinRAR In iTunes select the iPad/iPhone. Navigate to Apps tab and select KOTOR in File Sharing. Drag KOTOR.zip to the File Sharing window. Launch KOTOR. Once KotOR launches on the iDevice and gets to the main menu, close it and go back to iTunes Take the zip file you moved to the device and delete it, otherwise it'll unzip it every time you open KotOR, possibly overwriting some of your save files!
  5. Okay so, I'm really in need of some help. I've been trying my hardest to create a custom color lightsaber for my game, to be used in a content pack that I'm currently working on. The problem is that I cannot for the life if we figure out how to extract models, open them, edit them, and repack them. I've been trying for the better part of the past 2 days to try to get that to work, I can't get 3DS Max or blender to work on my computer, because of the computer's age, blender just absolutely doesn't want to load at all it crashes as soon as it opens. Since I obviously am not going to be making much progress on my own I decided I'd reach out in the community and see if anybody with more skill and more experience in the matter can help me create the model that I need. I'm basically attempting to make a teal color lightsaber.
  6. I'm kind of new to modding KOTOR, so I'm still learning. So, I successfully created a custom jedi robe and added it to the game, simple stuff. However, I tried to add the Elite Sith Trooper Armor into the game, but for some reason everything worked except the armor appeared as plain old Battle Armor in game and the icon for the sith armor didn't work either. I had a few different files, the first was PMBF08, the sith armor texture, then I had the icon, ia_class7_008, and finally the .uti file, g_a_class7008 But for some reason, this didn't work. I got a custom armor with all the custom stats and descriptions that I had added, but the appearance of the armor wasn't the Sith Elite Armor like the PMBF08 file stated. So, I'm not sure how to fix this as I spent hours trying most everything I could to get it to work with no progress. I used KOTOR Tool and GIMP to perform all the necessary operations if that helps.
  7. I wanted to make a mod which adds a retired mandalorian to the game who sells exotic gear collected in his time as a young warrior on the fringes of the galaxy. The problem? I've never made any mods and have barely any clue what I'm doing. If I could get some help, it would be awesome to create this and possibly more mods in the future.
  8. Hello! I rigged a model to T3M4 in 3ds Max 2016 using KotorMax, Kotor Tool, and MDLEdit. The animations work fine with my model in Max. They just don’t work in game. Any tips?
  9. So, basically I've been trying to replace a soundset with these audio files in k2, but no matter what I try or do they just don't work. I was told to try the Dustil restoration mod, which adds a custom soundset for Dustil that I could give it to my character, but it also doesn't work, not even with the mp3 files that were supposed to work with the aspyr patch. I'm leaving the sound files that I tested on K1 in an .mp3 format so you might try and tell me what am I doing wrong or if there's no way top use custom soundsets or replacements sounds in soundsets at all in K2. mp3 sound files for k2.7z
  10. Hello all, I have been having major issues today. I can't complete Peragus after installing TSLRCM, and M4-78. I don't know if its these two mods or if its some other issue but so far I have tried everything under the sun. But I can't make HK-50 self destruct? He goes down to sliver and then just keeps fighting forever, I have tried 5 different saves on the same character, and have pushed through and just remade an entirely new character and he still won't DIE! I was able to get him to start counting once, but then he suddenly stopped and just kept fighting. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD give me any bit of useful advice, a mod link to just set him to be a normal fighter anything to get rid of or fix this stupid design element. This is completely preventing me from playing the game, as I am utterly tired of not being able to progress. To be honest, I am getting fucking furious as I have waster 12 hours dealing with peragus...

I am starting this as a new thread as I am hoping to get into modding, with a game that I want to mod I was hoping that if there are any KOTOR and Sith Lord mod authors out there who could possibly enlighten me in the creation of jade empire mods whether there are similarities to KOTOR modding, If it can use the same tools what kind of programs would be required to get me started i am no programmer but i do have a love for the game and would ideally like to give it a fresh coat of paint if anyone can help i would be most grateful.
