Well, this could be somewhat sufficient for the time being. Even less than fantastic is better than the current state. :-)
-
Thanks! However, this is only half the solution. I don t mind the hat. What bothers me is that they look naked. And still, Quello is even more minor character than Fassa.

Hi, I have an idea for a mod that would change the appearance of Toydarian characters Quello and Fassa (TSLRCM version). I know they are pretty minor characters in KotOR II but it always bothered me that they look all grey and naked (all other Toydarians in Star Wars are blue-ish and clothed). Also it would be cool if they would look unique. Thanks a lot if anyone will do this!

Achilles' Influence Guide and TSLRCM
Darth Paulus replied to milestails's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
I looked into this a while ago and It can be used for TSLRCM, too. Well, mostly... It logically does not include all the new influence opportunities, however. -
Hi, anybody can please confirm that GOG (DRM-free) executable of KotOR II can be edited in hex editor? I hear it can be directly patched with UniWS for the game resolution and I was wondering if the same can be said for the movies. If so, I will buy the game on GOG, too and hopefully this time it won't be as bugged as the new Steam version. (For those wondering: I don't want to use any No-CDs on my legally purchased games.) Thanks a lot!

Calling out all Red Eclipse Players!
Darth Paulus replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in The Old Republic
Hey there guys, sorry to chiming in just now but I am also on The Red Eclipse. Paxmas, Jedi Sentinel, Level 43, Slicing, Underworld Trading, Treasure Hunting Currently hanging around on Hoth. I would be interested in joining you for some guest ("group" Datacrons, Lore Objects, just whatever will make my Codex more full... :-) ). -
Niiice! Malachor V got a mention in The Clone Wars newest episode! Not much, I know, but I got really excited and I am glad LF doesn't forget KotOR stuff ...

Oh, OK, I see. It's very subjective opinion but I liked the "walking" NPCs more, even if they did not flee from the attackers. Maybe because the first encounter and interaction with them (especially the Taris traveller...) is when it is calm and quiet and EVERYBODY notices when they do not resume their walking... Not in my two playthroughs. I also tried reload and she will not transfer to her cabin. Is it? I looked everywhere, have a vibrocutter, a heavy mining laser, a mining blaster but no trace of guidon beacon whatsoever. I have VP's Peragus Tweaks (v. 1.2) so maybe it removes it...(??) OK. Understood. Yeah, absolutely perfect solution! Thanks. That's pretty much it, I think - the priority is too low, so I didn't accomplish a single -INF hit. OK, in my next playthrough I guess I will just running around only with Mandalore and see if I can go for negative influence with him... Well, yeah, I guess. :-) Will try when M4-78EP is out. Remains to be seen if there are enough opportunities for all characters to unlock their loyalty (without doing out-of-character stunts, that is). Thanks a lot for answering those, Hassat.

OK, just a few questions - maybe these cannot be fixed - but in my last 1.8.1 playthrough I noticed that: 1) The pedestrians in the Telos docks are not resuming their walking after you click on them and are just standing there and not moving. (I can imagine it is an unrepairable engine bug.) 2) Kreia is not teleported back to "her" port dormitory after lightsaber sparing lesson with Visas and just kneels in Visas's starboard dormitory. You have to exit and re-enter the Ebon Hawk to get her back. 3) Maybe I'm blunt, but am I get it right that the Guidon Beacon (early game quarter staff replacement) can be found on Peragus no more? If so, can I ask why is that? (I rather liked it). 4) I too would like to have the Extended Rebuild Jedi Enclave scene mod incorporated. It looks rather neat (without the incompatibility bugs, of course) 5) If you don't accomplish "A Matter of Leadership" quest (Anda on Onderon) it will stay in your log forever. The conversation giving this quest should trigger only when the PC is DS and DS only (the trigger is now the neutral or DS response in the angry crowd skirmish). The only active (and unsolvable) quest in the endgame looks rather silly. Again, I can imagine it is an unfixable engine bug. 6) Could you please add a few random LS INF- opportunities with Mandalore, pls? Something like HK-47. In my playthrough: a)when I was LS and did good, he did NOTHING (incorrect behavior) b)when I was DS and did random murders I gained INF+ on him (correct behavior}. And yeah, I know that LS players can unlock his loyalty (story about him and Revan) by unifying the Mandalorian clans (neutral INF+} but sadly, it is not enough INF. And playing LS and be pro-Vaklu in Onderon conversations is rather stupid (not to mention it will trigger the aforementioned unsolvable Anda's quest). Thanks for reply in advance. Cheers!

I am with you guys, too. :-) Nothing will make me happier than to get rid of those low-res "uglies" of a BIKs.

Sure, graphic drivers definitely need to be updated to run on Windows 8. I had some issues with KotOR II, but since I purchased the KotOR Collection, all is now working like a charm. KotOR, welcome to the future! :-)

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Darth Paulus replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
I would guess mod conflict. At least this mod is NOT compatible with TSLRCM 1.8.1.. -
:-) The real reason Malak lost his jaw, is that it just dropped off when he saw Kyle in action. Star Forge is not a superweapon at all - it is just a toy construction set Kyle was playing with when he was just a kid. Kyle Katarn knows exactly what happened to Bao-Dur. Kyle told Master Arren Kae that it would be fun to rename herself Kreia but not to tell LucasArts about it. When you name your Exile "Kyle Katarn", the K2 vanilla game will turn into TSLRCM and the graphics will be looking like Mass Effect 3.

Sith Holocron: Thanks for the info. But I must disagree with the "canon" opinion. True, there were several different map layouts since 1995. And namely the map in Rebellion 1998 game was extremely different from today's canon. However, since that time the possitions of MAJORITY (including TSL planets) of the planets were solidified pretty well in the New Jedi Order book series or recently in The Essential Atlas, which is now the ultimate source. The Galaxy Map fix follows the set up of the post-1999 maps, which has the planets on thevery same locations, every time. It is HIGHLY improbable that they will change now after so many years. But, like I said it is your mod... ;-)

True, but even this short time is very disruptive, at least for me (I am quite sure there are more who feel it this way). But yeah, I can live with it, if there is this maximum effort/minimum result ratio...

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Darth Paulus replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Riiight... I tried everything, every single branch and could not do it. I was starting to be desperate, when I tried one of my older saves BEFORE Nar Shaddaa. I essentially did whole Nar Shaddaa again aaaaand.... it actually WORKED now. The double INF gain in Apologizing branch is still gone, but I now could make another (and thankfully the last) INF boost in "You are restless" branch (that I couldn't do before) . :-) Thanks for spurring me into investigation of this random bug, and at most times I'm very thorough player... Oh, well... -
Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Darth Paulus replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Really? This is really strange. Anyway, that was not about apologizing to Mira, but about double influence gain in the dialogue, which I obviously for some reason cannot trigger... I'm using only compatible mods: TSLRCM 1.8 Music Improvement Ambience Improvement Canonical Exile Canonical Mandalore Shiny HKs Vao Armband Galaxy Map Fix Coruscant Hi-Res Skybox Darth Nihilus Animation Fix Kinrath Egg Bash Crystal Drop Remote Tells Influence Kill the Ithorian Peragus Tweak -
Because it is meant to be "Mandalore's mask", not helmet. This mod has been done to make right the Obsidian oversight or ignorance about the design of this special artifact. This is how the mask should really look like according various Star Wars comics (the original wearers of the mask - Mandalore the Indomitable and then Mandalore the Ultimate - were the Taung, not the humans, so the entire helmet would not fit Canderous, anyway :-) ).
-
Hey guys, I'm here with another music issue/feature/whatever (I'm sure you must hate me by now :-) ). First I would like to thank for the new scenes prior to shuttle crash on Telos surface - this is great example of superb restoration! :-) Nevertheless, the music that plays during the shuttle interior scenes is way too peaceful and calm and it is very atmosphere-breaking (similar to the scene during the escape through Peragus asteroid field, which music was since changed to more action one). My question is, could something be done about this? Thx and cheers!

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Darth Paulus replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Not exactly - and I just found out why: There used to be ANOTHER INF+ boost after apologizing Mira and "Still, I'm sorry you lost your family at Malachor." option, making the INF gain double. Which is now gone. Now in 1.8, there are only three regular INF+ boosts, thus making the jedifying Mira in a row IMPOSSIBLE. The "Why don't you kill your targets?" portion of dialogue now give only 24 INF+ in total instead of 32 as it was. And so my original question was, if this is intentional - so now the player now have to take Mira with him to her INF opportunities (like on Dxun) and making the jedifying Mira somewhat longer process. And when taking Nar Shaddaa as the last planet it is next to impossible - I know this is the problem of several NPCs, not just Mira, but why adding her to the crowd? -
Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Darth Paulus replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Hey, I just wanted to check on this: With the aforementioned change in 1.8 there is now essentially no way of "jedifying" Mira "in one dialogue on Nar Shaddaa" as it was possible before, am I right? I can get her INF to 90 but the last "You are restless" dialogue wont let me any further. Frankly, I did not notice any "ass-like behavior"... other than hitting a sensitive theme and apologizing for it. I mean, there are not so many INF+ opportunities for Mira, so this is a significant setback for those who utilize "jedified" Mira after Nar Shaddaa (especially those who go to Nar Shaddaa as to the last planet). Is this intentional or am I simply doing something wrong in the conversation with her? Thx for info in advance! -
Hi, you can't do that simply. You have to start a new game for avoiding all bugs and secure maximum functionality. Trust me, the best thing you can do, is re-installing the game. After all, the restored content that was added since 1.6 is definitelly worth starting all over.
-
Ah, yeah. My mistake. Then you are referring to another mod which was worked on by zbyl some time ago. Anyway, still it was not included in TSLRCM because of some missing sound effects that cannot be re-created from the game files - they were probably included separately in the "post-production" by the foley artists. I would not worry about them much either as the quality is superb even without those few sound effects but some people apparently do.

You aren't using a no-CD crack, are you? One of the tradeoffs of using it is unrepairable bugged swoop racing.
