Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Hassat Hunter replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
I'm pretty sure it's an intentional effect of that mod (not TSLRCM)... not a bug. I've added a big red warning to the file in question... think it's clear enough? http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/42-vps-hi-poly-tin-cans/ Guess it's no longer needed, reading later post... but would have been before if not . Well, would be great if VP could upload it here too. The scene's pretty much unchanged from 1.7 so it should work exactly the same for 1.8. You have to change FullScreen to 1 in the .ini, that should fix that up... Getting more and more people reporting that lately, and I have no idea of the cause. Might be nvidia graphic drivers if everyone suddenly has it now. Doubt it has to do with TSLRCM 1.8. But if anyone has any idea of the cause, that would be very welcome! Never did, nor during any of my 1.8 runs (and there were many). Not to mention no one else ever reported it... so, yeah... -
Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8

You did install 1.0b first, then 1.8 right? Kinda stumped though. Could you upload your savegame for me to try (rarred in one package)? -
Checking the .dlg file, there seems to be no way to do so. Any more details on when it was offered again?

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Hassat Hunter replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Holy cow... No, he wasn't... must be the same mod doing that though... Do not use for 1.8, we already install it ourself. Going swell I see... See Shader Fix. See Goto's Yacht Window Update. With the added bonus that this might mess up your game during the Jedi Temple (650DAN). See Kreia Green Fix (beside the whole mess up your game part). You probably want to update that one. Not that it's the cause of your current issue mind you. Does that actually work? Sisters being there and all... just wondering. Heard mention of it before that it didn't, maybe VP already fixed that. Also heard mention this could cause crashing with Nihilus. Not for you? See Lightsaber Part Fix. Well, nothing I see I could directly link to a Sith being there. But one of those mods (or a combination clashing) could cause it... :/ Did you use all these with 1.7 too? If not we could shorten the list... EDIT: @ Maxie; Those are all the mods you use? Also, do you have the english version or another? Do you have 711KOR.mod in your modules folder? -
Well, there are the Merc battle and 3 HK-50 on Telos. These can be the most challenging of the game I think, far more than the factory. I was just talking about the endgame portion too with "finally difficulty". And one can perfectly survive without the capacitator armor. You just need to use your shields, and make sure you got good guns to quickly take down the opposition. Not that unlikely that someone has both in their inventory at that point...

It's not as different as the Nar Shaddaa sequences with your party members, or the Dxun Tomb. Do you complain about the Dxun Tomb? It really depends on the build of your chars (and in this case, HK-47). The HK's really aren't more difficult than the Sith Lords finishing that tomb. Actually, those are far harder. So it's not that different from the main game with the uberpowerful Exile and his less powerful teammates.
-
Nope. And yes, HK's scale with everything else in the game. They still are. Atleast for me. Double-keened with heavy crit mandalorian rippers and capacitator armor? Dead HK's. I suspect fights can be longer with less pimped out weapons though yes. And survival harder without finding the armor. But that's just bad exploring really... Dammit. There's finally difficulty, not even extreme and then you want to cut it. I mean, Malachor's cutting up is easy, you want it to be just like that? Also excessive is a bit exagerratd, though maybe I did get rather good in building a good HK-Factory HK-47, and it's really a lot tougher without that. Easy fix, not let all Malachor/Ravager enemies drop items. Problem solved . Shields? Also, may just be because the first time I was exposed to the factory was with TSLRP, which had them approx. 10 times as worse with 20 times the health, that TSLRCM's version is a cakewalk. To all those I would mention be glad you play our mod then and not that one... Can I get some HK-builds and equipment from people who find the factory hard? Actually it should be slightly easier in 1.8 due to headslot items dropping, and they can be powerful, and more droid items dropped throughout the game, increasing the chance of having very good items and armor when the factory starts.

Is your evil clone there? Did you defeat him/her? If not, any thing you can think of why there is no evil clone of you there? Using a very special skin??? Well, you can use KSE to undo leaving and try again, though that might not work if your mods broke something there (maybe with Carth, Cede or Grenn). So your best bet would probably use the warp cheat WARP 231TEL. You do miss out 2 cutscenes though with Atton crashing in the ground... -

Where did you kill the guards? I noticed the quest doesn't really update when killing them, but rather when going over a trigger that's just beyond the thugs in the path to the Refugee Sector... try walking around there, maybe you trigger the quest update... -
A 4th might actually just be reported. Still, it's a pretty good record!

Most mods do that, since they're rather small. But with the complexity and size of TSLRCM that obviously cannot be done, if we only put stuff in override the entire game breaks. Also it would be hell to set up with TSLRCM, or very complex for users if they just have to manually put files in the right place. So hence the installer just adding modules, override files, soundbits, the launcher etc. Also reduces the risk of stuff going wrong because a user placed files wrong or not at all. If it happens now it's either my or Zbyl's fault...

That's not different from vanilla TSL though. Not exactly helped by the fact there are many more upgrade items than weapon/armor items (while the second are more commonly found, which is especially in the start handy).
-
Assuming it's the same as Team Fortress 2 somewhat. No chatting (Yay instances for 2,3,4 person... NOT) like the free trial, no trading, no getting on the market, that kind of restrictions. EDIT: Editing is cheating! *reads restriction page* Me, not surprised. MMO's look like a goldmine to producers and devs, but they generally are not. WoW blinds a lot of people from reality.
-
Well, for starters, upgrades are uncommon; // equipment is more common than upgrades. if(nRoll == 2 && Random(100) Second, lightsaber items don't appear before level 10. // lightsaber upgrades left out if item level Third, they have 5 different sections of items it could drop (which is pretty much the most sub-classes of loot in the script, stuff like blasters and armor have 2 or 3). case 24: {nItemRandom = 5; break;} I think it was specifically kept rare to make crafting more interesting and rewarding to do, since it's very hard/rare for most upgrade items to drop. As for the many armors... The light/med/heavy ones only have 15 variations, robes 30. In the endgame a LOT of loot is generated. Since by the end of the game only about 3 different armors (and 6 robes) can be generated, obviously a lot of duplicates will be spawn for your inventory...

You do. For an answer you'll have to list your other mods though, so I can find a cause -
Linkie? All I know it's free to lvl 15 now... can't bother to boot it to continue with my Sentinel just now though...

Not using a no-CD crack, right? Use KSE to set FORFEIT_SWOOPRACE and GBL_QUIT_SWOOP back to 0. EDIT: Killed Zherron, no unnamed blades. And you can't kill him inside Khoonda, he'll just be deleted. -

Sound like you're using 1.6, not 1.8... That would be Akkere. However he's not a Militia Captain, not does he even have swords in his inventory. So, yeah, a name would be handy. Use the official patch, 1.0b Tone down your graphics to the lowest, and hope for the best. Eventually it should properly load. Good luck! -

MOD:Extended Kreia Party Scene (Atris VO)
Hassat Hunter replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in Mod Releases
Kreia is (partially) voiced by Atris. Though all lines are there, so I could possible also make everything voiced by Atris, makes the transition less jarring... hmmm... -

It's the same as Peragus. Just reboot the game, load your save, and it should be gone. -
You need to have visited the dockss and refugee sector both at least once, and need to pissed off/allied yourself with the exchange enough. Give the bat near the cantina some money to change that if you're not liked/hated enough...

Did you cheat your charisma high? Ehm, yes, a bunch... Not getting less confused here... -
Well, yeah, you glitched the Red Eclipse stuff... But that doesn't seem the case for the OP EDIT: Managed to replicate the clicking on Ratrin behavior after about 6 tries. That's pretty hard to do by accident :/

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Hassat Hunter replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Hmmmm, instead of the female version being -1 with him to her, looks like both use the same .tlk line and it's been modified to say her instead, in both cases (though the check and VO is proper)... hmmm... That's HARD for you... Plenty has changed since 1.7 to the factory... I am getting confused now, are we still talking about the factory here? Or just that one HK?
