  1. I guess this is the kind of stuff that may happen when a dev team is rushed and has to put out a game too soon than they should. These conditions may imply omissions. ttlan, you must understand that the story of this game has been corrupted. They had to rush-it, so the story basically lost some details. Furthermore, a dev team has many ideas, and has to discard some of them in order to get a story that makes sense. Now since they left some (a lot of) unused content and no notes on the usefulness or "cannonicity" of them, we should assume that the official and only version that is official is vanilla. Slight problem: like so many of us, you think the game lack a little something and that by restoring some parts of the game, it will be easier to understand, have more depth to-it. The problem is we can't be sure what they really thought was going to happen. Furthermore, we have to consider this game was not the idea of a single person, but of many a one. So even they must have encountered some divergent opinions.

So here's where TSL RCM comes: they restore as much content as possible but try at best as they can to preserve the intentions of the authors, without a lot of informations of what should have been. What's more, they have to judge what makes sense and what doesn't. The informations you seem to contest are on the same nature than that of what the original team must have discussed, but since this is no official team, but some great modders that give their free time to make a great game even greater, I think we should thrust their judgment when they have to decide if something is worth restoring or not. If any of us disagree with what they are restoring we have 2 options: do not download/install the mod and keep to vanilla or try to be as proficient modders as they are and modify what we think should be.

  2. Yup, played K1, and nope, I did not remember-it. Now that HH says-it, it does look a little like the Rakatan droid, but yup, I thought it was way too big to be the one in K1. So okay, I guess I'll have to figure-it out in my playthrough. I guess it may be good to make a clean install of TSL with 1.8 when it gets out, and make a save to just after Telos, that I'll upload here, so we can easily get access to M4-78...

  3. I didn't see Revan in Korriban Expansion and I am careful on which mod to download

Good for you. Did you have Heroes of the old republic 1.5 mod installed?

What about Combat Simulation Arena (4.0)

Don't know about that one, but this would be at its place in the Mod Compatibility Thread, as mine is discussing both these particular mods.

Hey!! Take a look at the post I made about the global jrl with the link to the file. I have updated that as of Sunday May 01. Now both the title of the quest and the description are both viewable. Sorry I didn't do that before but I was either distracted or just plain forgot.I'll leave it up there for anyone that wants it.

    Thank you. Will test-it soon.

  4. Nobody is flaming anybody--how did you arrive at that conclusion? Do you even know what the word means?

Well look, pure question, if you don't like Kyle Katarn or Chuck Norris jokes, why are you posting in a thread for which the entire purpose of its existence is for making jokes that elevate Kyle Katarn to Chuck Norris status?

Just what he said. And yup, I know what flaming means. No need for insinuation there, re-read what you wrote if you doubt the feeling your words implied...

Hey guys, it seems to me like it was the Katarn thread. I love Garrus just as everybody here, but it seems we just about run out of Katar jokes :P

  5. Indeed, I am very interested in your "compatibilizations" of these great mods. And there are so much people that asked for compatibility between Handmaiden for Female that it is a wonder you'd even ask about that one, no kidding. I myself wanted to look into making FF II compatible, so yup.

By the way, no problem with "a couple" being bigger than two. In Quebec, when we say "une coupe", it means more than two, granted the etymology may not be the same :D

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this stuff. If you could send the stuff my way trough PM or something, I'd love to try and test the bugger for ya (more specifically Handmaiden mod and Force Fashion II).

  6. Yeah, but then, you'll loose the force crush sound feature. So, if TSL RCM does not modify spells.2da, it means 2 things:

1: The mod may be bugged-out to begin with.

2: The mod may clash with another mod than TSL RCM.

  7. That is not what I meant. I only meant that if there are people interested in making such a mod compatible with TSL RCM, they may want to take a look at spells.2da and re-do the modifications Shem did.

  8. Fact: The only reason Katarn didn't beat Desann on his first encounter was to let him "believe" he had the upper hand.

Fact: Katarn found that Jerec was so weak that he tought it wouldn't be fairplay to beat him without Jerec taping upon the power of the valley of the jedi.

staticjoe and hk-47, please restrain yourself from flaming one against another. We got that staticjoe doesn't like Katarn. You have a right to. No need to state-it anymore though... Thanks to keep civil.

  9. This is not planned by anybody, no. Not that I heard of, anyhow. [Kasumi voice]And I hear it all.[/Kasumi voice]

So unless you think you can beg well enough for somebody to work on this kind of big modm or plan to go into modding and get-it done by yourself, ain't gonna be...
