  1. Mind you, I'm the 1st one that would use the "thing that shouldn't be named", as my laptop makes a kind of grinding noise whenever TSL'S cd's in. However, I did encounter the swoop bug, that is getting in the air forever. Removing the faulty .exe and replacing-it with my backup exe plus playing with the CD DID fix-it... oh well. However, I am using the .exe (JUST the .exe) from the unofficial and fully reprehensible 1.0c patch and this no cd patch is working with the swoop races... oh well.

  2. can't be perfect, but hey... what are few sounds compared to all you've done till now. :harhar:

What HH said was about a modification zbyl2 is attempting at a cutscene, not TSL RCM related

  3. I have used the CARBON crack for YEARS and have NEVER had an issue with the swoop races--your issue is NOT the no-cd crack as all a no-cd crack does is modify the swkotor2.exe file, it doesn't modify any game files so again your issue lies elsewhere

Perhaps the carbon no-cd patch does work with swoops, but nope, there IS an issue with no-cd patches and swoop racing, joe. I've tested-it and it really does...

  4. On KOTORfiles they pretty much all agree it's HOTOR, not my fix.

Which, seeing the files involved, I am inclined to agree.

Uh? Could you point me in the right direction? Or is it the discussion at lucasfiles? By the way, the conflict between these 2 mods (at lucasfiles that is) has been resolved with a patch that did not involve global.jrl...

  5. Well, I did not switch anything I think. Let me tell you what I did: installed TSL, patched to 1.0b, installed TSL RCM 1.7, installed your unofficial fix, installed Newbiemodder's Korriban Expansion mod, installed Qui Don Jorn's Hotor 1.4, patched-it to 1.5 with his patch 1.5. The only time I switched anything is when I sent the aforementionned file (global.jrl) to the version Newbiemodder's modified for me to be able to see the objectives (which did not work...). Anyway, these are the 3 mods (yours, NM's, Qui Don's) I have that modifies global.jrl, the only ones. So there has to be some kind of uncompatibilities between them...

Yup, empty journal is a clash, but I also think NM's expansion mod is bugged for me and I got blocked in the mod, without being able to keep pressing on. Been trying to progress ever since, but couldn't. I think there ought to be a way to get your fixes to work with both of these great mods, but I can't figure-it out by myself and it seems Newbiemodder couldn't too. If you could gather together what modifications you did, maybe a compatible global.jrl could be realeased in order to work with all these mods? Or am I the only one that uses these 3 mods with problems?

  6. Some ideas:First of all, I installed the Movie Style Dark Side Transitions mod by Shem, and I absolutely love it, but as you go through the game, you encounter characters who mention how awful your face looks. I seem to remember running across a mod that disabled those lines of dialogue, but I can't find it anywhere. If anyone could link me to the original or make a new one, I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, if you did cut these lines, you'd miss a lot of important lines, as when Atton tells you about the women trying to fix the Exile and not really loving him... Quite interesting really.

Second, is there any way to create a mod that would disable the "random items" part of the game, and make it like Kotor 1, where you get the same stuff every time you play? Because I find it really annoying when I can't find a single lightsaber crystal in the color I want, get fifty of some item that I don't need, and none of the cool stuff I got the last time I played through. It sounds like it would be pretty involved, but if anybody felt like taking it on, I would be eternally grateful.

That's why I use Shem's merchant mod! Then I can get a load of relevant items at merchant. If I lack the money, quick rename of override folder, use KSE to add needed money, save, rename override to its "override" name (that renaming thing's there to avoid a few files being corrupted by KSE) and re-launch my game.

And finally, a Party Member Tracking Device! Can someone please make a mod that shows where all your party members run off to between Dantooine and the Battle of Telos? Bao-Dur is gone, HK-47 magically ends up in the droid factory, Mical/Brianna, Mira/Hanharr, and T3 are nowhere to be found, and Visas is gone until she magically shows up to help you on the Ravager. If someone could please just make a mod that shows you where they all went? The entire Battle of Telos leaves me feeling like I missed a cutscene (or maybe a level) somewhere.Oh, and by the way, I would like all of these to be compatible with TSLRCM and Malachor VI. Thanks. :w00t:

Nobody will know for sure about Bao-Dur... But, there is a mod that will make it more clear what happens to your companions on Malachor! Follow me there!
