  1. Well, I've played 1.2 several times, and I think I liked that version better than 1.5. 1. I didn't like bringing the Sith Assassins in. Though not great, I liked Vash dying better in 1.2 than in 1.5. 2. Didn't like Kaah's death all that much either compared to 1.2. I would rather he and Vash live somehow (re casting the voice may be the way to do this like you said). 3. Not sure if I missed it, but I didn't like removing that quest with the droid who gives you a mission when you play as Hk, T3 or GO-TO. 4. The droid that gives the mission to find out where the true colonists come from appears to be have been removed sadly. 5. Not sure if it just me, but the black market droid crashes every time I click on it. 6. I liked the original opening scene better and this one didn't seem as good IMO. 7. I didn't like the police droids being removed either. 8. This version felt a lot more buggy over all (one quest I completed (rogue assassin part quest I think) opened back up in the Research and Development center after it was already closed.). 9. Not sure why the recent events mission was removed. I liked that one. 10. I would also just get rid of the new sequence on the landing pad at the end. Felt weird and out of place imo.

  3. There's already The Jedi Masters mod that does that. I think it's amazing, though others may disagree.
  4. So I've been looking since then, and alas still no luck for this final piece I need to complete this mod. If I want to assign new weapons to the aliens through this "main hold slot" would I look in their utc files or somewhere else?
  5. Thanks @Ashton Scorpius and @Qui-Gon Glenn for your help on the readme! I'm just about done with this, but I can't get the thugs to change weapons. They're all stuck with the wooden staffs or whatever and I want to change that to like swords and blasters. I go into inventory and added these things but they're still stuck with the wooden staffs. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  6. It worked! Thanks! I'm gonna try to change up the weapons on the thugs next, then I should be about done. Does anyone have you suggestions on the best way to write the "ReadMe" especially the disclaimer?
  7. So for my first copy for "excthg3.dlg" I would rename it to "excthg4.dlg" and then go into "g_blkvulkgang004.utc" and change to Conversation from "excthg3" to "excthg4" correct?
  8. Okay ,so I see that so I should rename each of the copies I made of the DLG files for each alien then?
  9. Okay I'm able to make copies of the dlg file, but I can't seem to find where to change the dialogue file at in each utc. Is it in scripts?
  10. Thanks my first question is solved now. As for my second question, kind of, but here you can see I've changed some of the Gamoreans to Rodians and Aqualish. How would I go about editing to where when I click on the Rodian it sounds like a Rodian and then when I click on the Aqualish it sounds like a Aqualish? When I edit the file I need in DLGEditor by changing the AlienRaceNod, to a Rodian for example, then all of the Exchange thugs sound like Rodians even if some are a different species like the Aqualish. Is there a way for me to fix this so each sound matches up to their corresponding alien?

Here's one I would add: *Vash is most appreciative of your actions on M4-78, but she will not join the rest of the council on Dantooine because she has more work to do and she knows the council will never have the strength and courage to do what is right. This way she gets to live without selling out like Zez and Kavar!
  12. Thanks that worked. Now I have just two more questions and that should be everything I need. 1. How do I get lips on the aliens to work? 2. Seeing how I have changed several of the Exchange thugs to new species (Rodians, Duros etc) where do I go to edit the dialogue to match each group of aliens in the Refugee Quad?
  13. Alright I downloaded the DLG Editor and followed the steps, but it's not let me open "302NAR_dlg.erf" which is what I need to edit. Should I rename the file to "302NAR.dlg" to get it to work?
  14. Very interesting, Sith Holocron! I agree with @jc2 with regards to Vash being treated very unfairly in the game and recasting may be needed to give her more to do. However, if she had a more active role in the story, what would be her fate? If she survives and makes it to Dantooine, will she pull a Zez and Kavar and start blaming the Exile for everything? It would be a shame for the only actual nice Jedi to cave like that and then get struck down by Kreia like the others. What do you think?
  15. I've been looking for "AlienRacOwner" but can't seem to find it. Am I on the right thing? And where can I find to change the emotions at? And I've been able to change the sound sets with no issue.
  16. Alright. Thanks. What's the best way to replace them in your opinion? I found the.dlg files I want to edit, I'm just not sure how do edit them though.

In the Refugee Quad, I've changed the appearance of several Exchange thugs and now I'm trying to get them to sound like their new species (Rodian, Aqualish etc) when I click on them to hear their dialogues instead of Gamorreans like that were there before I changed them. What would be the best way go about changing the Gamorrean sounds to match the changed aliens?
  18. As someone who's never modded...how hard would it be to change up the appearance of some of the Exchange thugs in the Refugee Quad?

      I did that and it works fine for when they are killed, but when I click on them to hear their dialogue they still sound like Gamorreans.

      If they have a conversation set in their UTC then yeah, it will be whatever that was recorded as. You'll have to try and find a substitute conversation for a Rodian. Given the specific nature of it, you may need to create your own. You are veering off into territory that is not suited to discussion in a status update though. You'd be better served creating a proper thread for it.

  19. Isn't it pretty funny GO-TO is so obsessed with saving the Republic that he lets the Exchange hire Azkul and the mercenaries to take over Dantooine from the Republic?

      Huh, I don't remember that datapad. I thought you meant the one in the enclave. That doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? 🤔

      It's also weird that they're trying to sell Vrook at all if you've already been to Nar Shaddaa and the bounty is off. I don't believe there's any official expectation that you visit Dantooine first, though. If anything, it would be later, given the module numbers.

      @JCarter426 The mercs probably didn't know. If you remember the Onderon hunters led by the Twilek, he will still ambush the player and attempt to collect the bounty despite the fact that it's off. If Goto is in the party however he will interject saying that the bounty is off and that should they kill the Exile the next bounty will be on their head instead, the bounty hunters listen and stay neutral unless the Exile threatens them.

      @JCarter426 It doesn't make much sense at all and maybe they should said it was Czerka or some other criminal organization instead that payed off the mercs to make sense within the story.  

      And that "going to Dantooine first" was something Lucasfilm canon people came up with back in the day. Though the Wookieepedia page says Nar Shaddaa first now. Strange. 

      I’ll look for it when said  Dantooine went first and post a screenshot of that  

      No idea why Lucasfilm changed that since it's all "Legends" or whatever.

  20. Interesting and Aidan Gillen's accent for the Maze Runner movies sounds pretty close to Canderous too imo. At least there's possibilities, though had it K3 come out as planned (like a decade ago) this wouldn't even be an issue.
  21. What's really sad and unfortunate is that even if a new KOTOR game gets made, the voice of Canderous/Mandalore will have to be recast since John Cygan died a couple of years ago.
  22. I agree with Ragnarok. Karpyshyn was responsible for ruining Revan, The Exile and others like Bastila and Canderous. He (and Bioware ) have no business touching anything KOTOR related ever again as far as I'm concern. Avellone and the great people at Obsidian should make K3 or a remake or whatever. And make sure EA has nothing to do with it what's so ever. Btw let's get Disney to commission another Jedi Knight game by Raven because that would be pretty awesome.
  23. It's amazing since EA got the SW game licence almost 6 years all they have released are two half-baked games and canceled a lot of other ones.

      Disney needs to get out of their contract with EA already.

      I thought after how abysmal Lucasarts had been in its final years that things would be better SW game wise after the Disney purchase, but nope!

  24. Hey does anyone know why Mandalore won't tell me the truth about his mission and Revan once all the clans have been found? I've got TLRCM 1.8.5 installed of course, and got influence from him when each group was found, but he simply won't tell me the truth for some reason.

      90. Almost unbelievable how hard Obsidian made it to get Mandalore to talk on the light side path.

      My files said it required 80, so if you needed to get it up to 90... either your file has higher requirement, or it required a global that’s set only in certain way. Curious.

      Either way, you’re welcome. It was fun.
