  1. I think there might be an issue in changes.ini. I keep getting these errors regardless of how I install the mod. A fresh install of KotOR with just the Community Patch and this mod doesn't resolve them either.

Definitely doable! Wasn't sure what resolutions people would want at first, but I'll spin up the renders for a 1080p version tonight.

Any chance for a 2560x1440 version?

What are you modifying with Marl and Bendak Starkiller?

For Marl, it's a TSLPatcher version I made of the Duros Lower City Merchant by MasterWaffle (The second option in the installer gives Marl the Taris Dueling Suit included with the mod). Don't think it touches Marl's head though pretty sure I left that in.

For Bendak Starkiller, it's the amazing Bendark Starkiller Embelm Armour by redrob41.

  4. Okay, I've finished making the changes. Everything has been merged together in one TSLPatcher and some of the hard overwrites have become edits but Part A and B remain seperate (as seperate install options, choose in the installer). As I said before I've removed changes to Bendak Starkiller, Removed Marl's Outfit changes, and removed the drops. Everything else is the same with the exception of the combat uniform textures being AI Upscaled and they look pretty nice.

Thanks for making such an awesome mod!

    If anybody wants it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xlEgL-sD4dRAdxFh5KS4ULYw7xvn5He7/view?usp=sharing

Please let me know if I made any mistakes (wouldn't be the first time) as I did this in 5-10 minutes. Should work though.

  5. I don't usually download your mods because they are outside of my tastes, however this one is pretty great. It gives the Taris duelers some much needed individuality. Gonna have to strip out the clothing changes for Marl, completely remove the changes to Bendak Starkiller for compatibility with my own build (Already have mods that alter them that I'm cool with) and upscale the textures, but I'll be using everything else.

    Thanks a lot!

Edit: Okay don't think I really need the drops.

This is partially correct, I worked on this today, but just now getting around to posting...First, edit appearance.2da to change the 3 Sith Soldier entries envmaps to DEFAULT...4 entries, if you are using https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1258-kotor-1-community-patch/, or https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1291-k1-lite-upgrader/ as these upgrade the lite Sith Soldiers as well...Next rename DH's CM_Baremetal to, say for example, CM_Baremetal01...Then open up notepad(or similar) and create a txi file(CM_Baremetal01.txi) and give it the instruction cube 1...Then create txi's with instruction(envmaptexture CM_Baremetal01) for the other textures, including the placeable...drop the txi's and the renamed cubemap texture in Override...it should work...I tried it out and it worked for me...

Dude you're awesome! It's sad my knowledge was incomplete, but I always enjoy learning new things.

I did, but I'd like to still see your version of CM_Baremetal on the Sith Soldiers specifically. I'm not familiar enough with modding to know if it's even possible, though.

Still, the Sith texture itself looks great either way, so good work!

I'm pretty certain there's a line for the Sith Soldiers in appearance.2da, you should be able to rename Dark Hope's CM_Baremetal to something like CM_Baremetal2 and change that as well in appearance.2da for the Sith Soldiers. Don't quote me on that, but I might be able to make the edit then make a TSLPatcher for it.

Thank you for letting me know. Both download versions should be functional again.

Thanks so much! Love your mods BTW, they are essential in my KotOR Mod Builds.

It is, but the Kotor Community Patch has JC's Republic Soldier Fix included so I recommend sticking to the K1CP.

Also, I recommend Dark Hope's female Republic Soldier skin (Not required, but optional):

I use all three. I guess it escaped me that JC's Republic Soldier Fix was included in K1CP. As for Dark Hope's retextures, what can I say except they are amazing.

  10. Juhani Male Romance

    Please do!

i havent tested this on a completely fresh playthrough yet as I created right before star map #3 and accidently locked myself out of getting the boolean for IJuhaniR to properly set to True, but when I manually went in and set that right after completing leviathan the appropriate dialogue did play.

As for what changes I made to make this function, well basicslly Juhani’s DLG file and the Dantooine File I included, I went in an alrered every check made by her dialogue to look for a male character instead of a female one when determining whether or not to play her flirty dialogue. Then I went into her script (the hjuh_p17 file) and altered that from looking for = GENDER_FEMALE to GENDER_MALE and that script controls whether Juhani’s romance can activate

near as I can tell theres no reason it shouldnt work as I compared rhe syntax against other scripts that make use of the GENDER flag. I included two versions of the script, one which has been compiled and one which hasnt since I’m not sure which one is needed.

Anyway, if you find any planetary unique dialogue that I missed, please inform me so I can try to fix it.

Here's a TSLPatcher version. I haven't tested it yet in-game, but it should work.

Truthfully I know next to nothing about Juhani's Romance Dialogue as I have never played as a female revan. So unless I find inconsistency with the dialogue (for some reason), I really wouldn't know what is supposed to be there.

Low and behold, another male Juhani Romance mod, hopefully one that works (Fingers crossed!). I'm going to have to make a TSLPatcher version of your mod for myself and test it that way because my mod build depends on k_hjuh_dialog.dlg which is already modified like 3 or 4 times so I no doubt have one in my override.

Regardless of the result, thanks for this. Excited to use this in my next playthrough. I'll let you know how it goes.

  12. Taris NPC Overhaul

       729    8

Just wanted to point out Holdan's head from the Unique heads option makes his head completely white. There are also four Vulkars that are no longer hostile, two in each apartment section of the lower city. (I have the file above installed).

Also, one of the male undercity outcasts who is infected with the Rakghoul disease that turns and you end up fighting them, also has a white head.

    "CHECK YOUR INSTALLATION DIRECTORY.
DO NOT INSTALL INTO THE OVERRIDE FOLDER OR YOUR GAME WILL CRASH!
We've had several users on Vista mention that instead of Program files (x86) it would point to Program Files/Program Files, causing the installation to fail. Make sure the installer points to the proper location of your KOTOR2 installation."

Massive problem here. The 1.8.6 installer doesn't give the option to check the installation directory. It goes right from selecting which language the mod is in to installation, and seems to just hardline point to what would be the directory for the CD version.

The easiest way to avoid this is have the registry point to your game directory.

    Type regedit into search

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6332Node\lucasarts\kotor2

Double click on "Path" and paste your game directory location here. If there isn't one, right click and choose "create string value" and call it "Path". Double click and paste your game directory location.
