When you get one play through, just give me a pm wither there were any major bugs or crashes. I can wait for the detail review just want to make sure it was stable for you guys.
Thanks

Thanks! I will check that out.
I decided last night that I will be going with the EXE file and might use tslpatcher for only things it can only do.
I feel a lot batter now and I have been hitting the polish button on these modules...which are coming out nicely.
I want to say thanks for all the help and information =)

Hey, want to let you know there is a good chance that i will need you to download a new version of Beta since i plan to not use the TSL patcher due to it is having issues installing files correctly. Sometime there are no faces or that it just not install and has some type of warning/error.
The other reasons are that it has slowed things up where i feel i lost 5 days of modding with this program and the other is I can use an exe file which you will probably get instructions to just dump into override or modules folder. Plus I have a feeling RoR will be to big for tsl pacther there is nothing this big that the patcher has dealt with.

Nope its not the readme issue.
Going to change the appearance of the npc, since it was using a new appearance maybe that was the issue.
When placing a new appearance for a NPC, do you use Appearance_type in the gff/section of patcher's noc's utc or do you use PropertiesList\0\Subtype?
I got things running well, but now its just a matter of this error.
Thanks in advance

Hey,
What kind of error is this in the tslpatcher? Do you know what is the issue?
This is from the installlog
"Adding file "corsold5.utc" to archive "cmerch.mod"...
• Modifying GFF file corsold5.utc...
• Finished updating GFF file "corsold5.utc" in "Modules\cmerch.mod"...
• Error: Unhandled exception: Access violation at address 00472D96 in module 'TSLPatcher.exe'. Read of address 00000000 (0)
"
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the help.
I think I will be doing a mix of tsl patcher and drag and drop. Some files will not try to make compatible with other mods but in a way most mods deal with kotor2 while this is basically a new game. Will be giving a detail install instruction and how you can switch between ror and kotor2 on a fly.

Is there any other way to attach an 2da appearance to a utc in the patcher other than a 2dmemory?
Thanks
Sorry for all the questions

If i simply place the dlg file in the install ,into the override file, it will override the file that's in game as if it was done manually?
Rigth now i'm installing ncs files but for one that already exist ingame an i just alter do i just treat like in manual where i place in override folder? I don't need to edit existing just make sure it over rides.
Thanks for the help and look forward to the tutorials/video or test for the exe file or the tsl patcher.

I agree looking at other change.ini files help a lot. When it comes to dlg files for the override how does this work if i'm altering an existing one like the workbench? Also When do I need to place the .nss files in the installer? How do jrl file work with the installer? Right now I just have it to install the new jrl but what if players have one with new entries?
What are the pit falls to look out for?
I already know that the patcher can't install everything since it will over load/go over the max entries if i try to place all the override folders as install.
Looking at players placing teh override files from an override folder at download and place them in themselves.
Give you an idea, patcher files and the override for RoR is about 1.18 gigs so far.....
Thanks for the help

I got most of it, hopefully worked out, was using other mods to compare to learn. The thing about the manual is its very technical and some people learn better with a visual demo of it to understand it better. That is one thing the manual was missing are images of it being used. Take your time with the video, when you have time no rush. I just thought it would be helpful so that other modders will learn to use the tool and see it is not a scary or involve as some people think. I building my change.ini file now adding all the files and i wish i did it earlier which would of help with managing it, the reason i didn't was that i look at the manual and got lost with the technical info...seeing it in use like a video even on the basics would of allowed me to do this earlier since i would of ok, i get it.
Thanks in advance for when you get the time to do a video for this.
