Now I have been the one who has laughed because I did not understand you the first time reading of the post
I knew the word "ass" ...but I didnt find the connection. It has cost to me some seconds connect "ass" with "posterior"
Well, maybe is better leave the scathologic terms for other forums before be hardly scolded by DS staff...
Well, my apologies SH, you were right and IS your MOD.
I'm not sure if I need a memory wipe out or a memory pill...

My bad english?
The yours is most modern than the one I say
-
Hi SH. Thanks for the answer.
Mmm... I'm not sure it be the same. I think the yours is posterior, under the submitted date It's not a year old yet and my recall of that MOD is older than that. I remember screenshots of that circle of lights/screens in the floor, just at the point where the PC awakes in Peragus, close to the kolto tanks (I don't remember if the control pannels in the walls of the Med Bay were reskinned too).
If your MOD do not reskin that circle of lights/screens in the floor is not the same, if it does ...I shut up as a Peragus dead miner.
But don't worry... I already had the yours prepared and ready to install very, very soon...

Time ago I remember have seen a MOD here in DS that reskin the circular line of floor monitors/lights at the Peragus Medical Bay, where we appear after the Prologue.
I saw it interesting enough but never downloaded that MOD and nowadays I can't find it anyware. Recalling the MOD I felt curious, even only to check if it's worth it or is not but I don't remember the name nor the author (that is a big trouble for to find it).
Any idea?

On 1/28/2019 at 10:54 PM, Kainzorus Prime said:I've discovered that removing the audio files themselves let the dialogue play out smoothly and without incident, and even attempted to manually convert the files from stereo to mono in a possible fix, but without any luck.
EDIT: Further testing seems to have revealed the issue - the original voice files are 48000 Hz 320 kbps stereo files. Converting them to joint stereo with the same setting seems to sort out the files, allowing the voice clip to play without crashing.
Can you tell us the name of the exact files to be avoided/edited? or must be avoided all the files related with this droid? I think I've found its correct folder with the path ' ...\SWKotOR2\StreamVoice\802\blackmark ' but it has 49 files.
-------------------------------------------------------
Checking the install directory of KotOR2 I've found an error log file created with the crash (AR_ERROR.LOG) that says: "Names Differ: C_DrdProt l_drdprot". Searching for the files I've found in the Override folder:
C_DrdProt.MDL
C_DrdProt.MDXl_drdprot.MDL
l_drdprot.MDX...but I have no idea what can I do with them and, at least tonight, I didn't want start renaming this kind of files to see what happens...
---------------------------------------------------------
Thinking about avoiding the sound files I've disabled the sound of the game in the KotOR2 Launcher/Config and it has worked fine, no crash talking with the Blackmarket droid, I can see the balloon text saying "No offence, but I usually don't interact with other droids" (I'm still at the begining of M4-78) ...but, obiously, no sound in game, even music and menus.
The next step test has been (enabling again the sound of the game) rename the 'blackmark' folder avoiding the entire folder itself and it has worked fine aswell. The game, music and voices "sounding" normally except the Blackmarket droid, with no voice and no crash of the game talking to him.
Cause I'm still at the begining of the planet I hope can continue the plot with no further crash problems.
BTW!! Someone can identify the other sound files that no crash the game but sound as statics?
Soon, new news
P.S.: This time I'm using the english version of the TSL

1 hour ago, JCarter426 said:This would only work in KOTOR 2. The party members don't teleport out of your way in KOTOR 1.
Opsss... My mistake. Searching for locked doors the page placed me directly at this part and I didn't see it is for KotOR 2. Thanks JCarter426
-
I know that feeling and is sad to see nothing works.
I've found this in the net:
"Go Through Doors
Have three people and walk up to a closed door. Rapidly press the black button to switch through your characters. If done right your character should go through the door.(Note: Works well with security doors.)"https://www.gamespot.com/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ii-the-sit/cheats/
-------------------------------------------------------
I've read about some MOD's that can be useful:
About "DarthDac's Warp band mod" (but all the links I've found for download are dead)
and "K1 Utility Armbands"
Never used them and I don't know how they work (or if they work) but I hope it helps.

My last Playthrough with KotOR1 was with Restoration and Brotherhood of Shadow Solomon's Revenge too and I hadn't this kind of problems. I don't think they're related. Anyway, if you're afraid about Shadow in your party you can change the party outside at the Valley before enter the tomb for the first time.
In any case. You shouldn't be atacked by the droids located after the door. It's a new script that starts when the doors open: are you "noisy"? you're atacked. are you silent? you can negotiate with the crazy droid. That means that the droid stucked in the door belong to the group of the corridor, not to the sarcophagus room and I'm (almost) sure that is the reason of your troubles. Is there no way to kill it? perhaps with some grenades? in Solo Mode?
Or, if the droid is stucked in the door it can be a graphic glitch. Maybe changing the video configuration you can fix it.
If there is still a droid alive I don't think changing values with KSE helps you because when you load a Save, the game "detects" the droid and sets the corresponding value.
-
I don't remember find this problem in any of my playthroughs but I've found a walkthrough telling that if there is any droid remaining in the tomb the door stays sealed:
"Once you've reached the top of the ramps, if you try to open the door but there are still droids in the corridor behind you:[This door is being held closed by some force, and will not open at this time.]"
https://strategywiki.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic/Tomb_of_Marka_Ragnos
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If the tomb is clear go out and get in again, maybe appears a "missed" droid or this time you can open the door.
I'm not sure if can be related at all but, have you been told about the crazy droid, talking with people in the academy and/or the Valley of Lords before get inside the tomb?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
About the KSE I've been looking for a possible list of the variables and what is related with, but I've just found a list of TSLRCM for KotOR2. I don't know the names of the variables related (but they can be obvious) and I'm not a "wise man" working with these variables... I just can say that KEEP YOUR SAVE BEFORE THE TOMB LIKE GOLD, save again using another slot, e.g. in front the sealed door ...and keep it aswell (for avoid the fight if you need reload an unmodified Save and for to use a file with KSE AFTER the fight). Save again (you can use the Quick Save) and use this one with the KSE. Experience yourself with the variable (just ONE, and take note what you change) you think is related, increasing the valour by 1 (e.g., if the valour is set to "0" change it to "1", if it's set to "1" change it to "2"). Save the file, close KSE, bla, bla, and reload this Save in the game. If it works... BRAVO!!! if not, as we don't know what the hell we have changed, reload your UNMODIFIED Save before the door, Quick Save again and try with another variable.
Said I before that I'm not a wise man with the variables? that means that there is no guarantees that, somehow, the changes we make, even if works now, do not ruins your Playthrough forward in the game...
Sorry for don't be more helpfull
(and now, I think and maybe I deserve it, I'll be the target of the real wise men with the variables of KotOR...)
-
I'm not sure if I'll tell you nothing new.
As far as I know the storyline is always that, escaping from prison killing the assassin and the second fight in front the cantina ...but just with your powers and hands (remember you dispose the Kreia's powers aswell and Atton can't die if he is not the last standing). I don't remember if, still without equipment, you can dispose of your money because just before the cantina there is the arms' shop but I never bought nothing at this point and I don't remember too much troubles with this fight.
If I remember well Kreia has Shock power and I like develope Stun power for my PC that are useful. If you can stun the enemies (from second line is safer place, leaving the first hits for your mates) even one by one (9 seconds stunned for succesfull cast at this power level), your companions can, safety and easyly, concentrate on each enemy, shocking with Kreia and punching with Atton. You can repeat the stun attacks keeping in mind -more or less- the remaining stunned time and your reserves of Force. The risk is that Kreia or you or both run out of Force, you can try alternating the attacks between powers and fists but your PC will have to move closer the danger.
I don't know if I've helped you

Hi Clone
You're giving very little information. I assume that you mean the computer do not detect the external device correctly. If that is the case KotOR 2 isn't related at all."Googleing" a little bit I've found this:

I hope it helps you

In my last Playthrough of TSL -and my first time with M4-78- I found exactly the same problem trying to talk with the black market droid, a short sound like static noise and the game crashing.
I found the same issue talking with another droid, the same static noise but the game didn't crash never at that point (sorry but I don't remember the name of the place and the droid, I think by the industrial zone, after the test droids rooms, in a large room filled with computers and screens).
Add: This last droid must be IS-43 mentioned by KP
PS: At that time I assumed was due the different language versions... Long to explain and this is not the correct place but, anyway I was able to finish M4-78 and TSL with my spanish version of KotOR 2.

I agree with the idea that the modders update their MODs (or make a patch) to make them compatibles with the updated versions of the big ones like TSLRCM and M4-78 if they become incompatibles (for obvious reasons if EE only works with TSLRCM).
If, as says danil-ch , is assured the compatibility with 1.8.5, maybe deserves make a -very easy- update of the compatibility description text of the page of EE for make that compatibility "official". Anyway will be welcome the next update of the MOD to reassure and calm all of us.
M4-78 1.5 is a very last release but I would like to ask danil-ch check the EE compatibility as soon as you can and, if needed, an update or the corresponding patch. In the same line I'd like ask to the users post problems found (or if do not find any) with these last versions.

With the intention of find the less number of troubles with MODs I'm trying an "easy" conversion of K2 TSL spanish version to english version (like I did with KotOR 1 successfully). Using the english version of the dialog.tlk file, instead the SP version file installed, works fine but now I can't patch the game with the UK Patches versions due the different version of the Manual pdf file. During the patching process from 1.0 to 1.0a the dialog.tlk file is patched with no problems but stops and gives an error with the Manual pdf file.
If the experiment works fine I believe it can be a good asset for anyone that has a non english version of the game and wants install MODs working with few surprises.

7 hours ago, Obi Wan Pere said:I'm looking for the Manual of KotOR 2 TSL in .pdf format and english language, the original file after a fresh installation (before install any Patch or MOD).
At least in the 4 CD's SP version the file is located in the folder "Docs" of the first CD as well so, is indifferent if the KotOR 2 installation is Patched or MODed. I didn't find it with my first check of the CD's.
8 hours ago, Sith Holocron said:Isn't it included as a PDF in official installs?
Yes, the file is installed, but remember that I'm using the spanish version. I have the paper version too but I don't need "extrictly" the manual but the english version of the pdf file.
8 hours ago, DarthParametric said:Steam doesn't include it. GOG has it, but only as a separate "goodies" download I believe.
So I see that is a coveted thing...

I'm looking for the Manual of KotOR 2 TSL in .pdf format and english language, the original file after a fresh installation (before install any Patch or MOD).
Searching in the net I've found just one web that contains it but, besides to subscribe, it demands to pay for the downloads. I've always respected the work of others and I don't know who owns the rights of the file -if still exists really- but is a shame that anyone have to pay for a file of one game 14 years old.
Well, my requirement is simple, and I think that with a PM with a File BELONGING to a friendly user, nobody would be compromised, nor, for sure, DS.
Thanks in advance.

I've found the Patch 1.0b for French version at this site http://assiste.free.fr/kotor_2/telecharger_kotor_2_patch_officiel_1.0b_FR.html
Still luckless with 1.0b spanish version
-
Oh, well, you're correct.
Certainly I didn't try the mail but I think that you trust more than me in the responses from big companies... (and long time ago I don't use the e-mail).----------------------------------
Just right now Iwas checking again the page https://support.starwars.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000716323-Where-do-I-find-the-latest-patch-for-Knights-of-the-Old-Republic-II-The-Sith-Lords-#h_1589466961211525014675604 and all the links for different languages for the Patch 1.0a are working.
But, except for the UK version, ALL THE OTHER DOWNLOAD LANGUAGE OPTIONS of the Patch 1.0b have dissapeared, even the "Contact Support" option of the page. I hope it'll be temporaly for maintenance reasons.

Wow!!!! Really you have contacts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now will be time to see if it becomes truth...
I hope so.
