More Subtle Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (still not including Galaxy Map) (version 1.2) =============================================================================== ORIGINAL RELEASE: 25 MAR 2017 UPDATED RELEASE: 31 MAR 2017 LATEST RELEASE: 03 NOV 2018 NOTE: The definitive version of this mod can be found here! This is the old version... GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 Description: ============ When Xarwarz was working on a sample of a monitor texture for the Ebon Hawk, I had suggested to him that it could use a bit of animation to liven it up. The led to the original animated monitor mod called "KOTOR2 Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (not including Galaxy Map)". The screen in this separate version are much closer to the original screens included with the game. They are still animated though. (See animated picture below.) I have updated the fourth screen with a new picture - using one of the screens usually seen on the bridge of the Harbinger but recolored to the Ebon Hawk monitor color scheme. (Besides the old version of that section was static before and something about that irked me.) Recently, Dark Hope has recently Animated Ebon Hawk's Screen HD, which adjusts many of the other panels seen in the cockpit and throughout the Ebon Hawk. With permission granted to me to adjust the credit, I decided to bring to the monitors in her textures in line with my other monitors. (Size reduced for screenshot purposes. Texture is sized at it's original 2048 x 2048.) Though I've placed this in the Knights of the Old Republic 2 section, this mod is compatible with both games. Installation: =========== Decide whether you want the monitors to have glass-like overlay or not and copy the TGA files and the TXI files from the appropriate folder. Place those files in the Override folder. Uninstall: =============== Take them out again. Known Bugs: =========== None known at this time. Legal Disclaimer: ================= All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of the mod author. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. Ever. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Messages that request permission without providing information on how your alternate version would be different than mine should be considered an instant denial of permission. Credits: ======= LSaberDuelist and OldFlash (of LucasForums) for their instructive discussion and tutorial at LucasForums. (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=153502) Xarwarz: For putting together the original texture of the monitors surrounding the galaxy map! @Dark Hope: For her original cockpit texture, for releasing her version to Deadly Stream, allowing me to adjust it as I see fit, and to include it in this package. @ebmar: For adjusting Dark Hope's new texture by adding a little depth to it and adding the overlay over the monitors shown in the “With Glass Overlays” folder. Here's what it looks like in the actual game. Thanks to @Mellowtron11 for providing the game save so I could get this video done relatively quickly! BTW: Looking for something a little more vibrant? Good afternoon. I worked very long on these textures. I can call them one of the best of my works. The archive contains 2 textures: the texture of the woman's form and the shape of the man. The resolution of the textures is 2048X2048. This resolution allows you to carefully draw each piece of equipment. Attention was paid to everything: rivets, buckles, shadows, cloth, chevrons. Enjoy.

These are basically High Definition upscaled assets for the first Kotor title. I was inspired by the games original awful stoneage 800x600 artwork and NDIX's groundbreaking work. Mod does not touch every original GUI element, and as such is not yet feature complete. For one, most LOADING SCREENS are still missing HD versions. They will come eventually. My hope is people find these as pleasing of an improvement, as i did. Instructions, such as they are, are in the README. As, this is my first mod, any ideas, suggestion, criticism, repackaging improvemts are highly encouraged. The Mod has been created with 16:9 aspect ratios and 1080/1440p in mind. I shall do my best to fix any potential problems. This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. # Background # It was one fine evening when I take a walk inside the Elder's Settlement. I wonder how them droids sounds like, and then... why do they sounded like T3? So I wanted to experience something else, then I remember back in the Ancient Ruins of Dantooine there was a similar droid there that has something different with it. Apparently it was speaking Rakatan's language that the PC did not recognized. I decided that I had to incorporate that with the droid then, hence the making of this mod. # About this Mod # This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. The sound was made using an inverted Rakatan's voice-over with added droid-like filters on top of it. By concept it gave an idea that the droids were speaking an epitome of language that the PC did not understand [in Bastila's voice], resulting in addition of changing the spoken line of the droids. It also changes the bubble-bark conversation to a cinematic one. For a distinctive look at what the mod does, here is the preview - # Final Remarks # There's always room for improvements; critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! Uninstallation: Choose the UNINSTALL option in the installation menu Additionally you may want to remove eb_elderdrd_ANGM.wav from the streamwaves folder Compatibility: For maximum compatibility, install this mod at the latter stage of your mod's build Will not be compatible with any mods that hard-overwrite the Elder Settlement/unk_m42aa module Pay attention to the patcher's warning messages upon installing the mod. If it tells you that it found an instance of k_hdroid1_dialog.dlg and unk42_elddroidXYZ.utc in the Override folder, then there might be a compatibility issue indeed For this mod to be fully effective you should at least load a saved game before entering the Elder Settlement [unk_m42aa] module The mod is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. At the other hand, it was only by far tested with K1:Community Patch/K1CP v1.7, though assets-wise, there's nothing to be conflicted with the 1.8 version Redistribution: do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites. I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions. If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included. And then, make sure to give credits to BioWare & LucasArts with the release - as without them the enjoyment would be non-existent. A bit of appreciation to this lil' peasant work here is also a very warm welcome, welcome. Item Description Fix Pack For KotOR 1 -Description- This mod is an attempt to fix as many issues with item descriptions in the game as possible including mistakes such as typos, grammar problems, spacing, issues with paragraphs, and consistency problems. There has been no attempt to fix intentional things that might be considered a quirk of the game. This just fixes the above problems and tries to make things more consistent. -Summary- * All headgear items now show that they can’t be used by Wookies. * Grenades look consistent with each other. * Mines look consistent with each other. * Droid utility items look consistent with each other. * Fixes to obvious mistakes with spaces and return carriages. * Basic grammar and punctuation issues are fixed, but awkward wording is not. * Spelling mistakes are fixed, except for items where alternative meanings are acceptable. -Installation- TSLPatcher is used as the installer but universal compatibility is not guaranteed yet. This will be done in a later revision of this mod and for now it will not overwrite your other mods. To start installation just extract the DescFixesK1 folder and run DescriptionFixesK1.exe from inside that folder.. follow the instructions from there. -Copying- You have permission to alter this mod and redistribute your modified versions. I'm happy for you to repackage it, include it in your own mods, or upload it anywhere you like. I only ask to be mentioned as the original author of the mod. -Credits- · Made with Fred Tetra's Kotor Tool · Uses TSL Patcher for installing the mod · KSE Save Game Editor was very helpful in creating this mod · JCarter426 for clarifying a question about editing placed item properties
