Thanks to @Sith Holocron's assistance, the mod has been updated to a full 1080p resolution (subtitles showing). Download the mod here. *Due to popular demand, vanilla version is planned to come SOON. Hoping to start work on it this weekend when I have some free time.*

File Name: "DV's The Revelation Cutscene Remake V.1" Author: Darth Varkor Works for: Knights of the Old Republic I K1 Restoration Compatibility: Yes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: For a while, I have been thinking about re-creating various BIK cutscenes within the games, not just for my own personal machinima-related use, but to upload for public use as a mod. Now, as I am fairly limited to what I can do (in-game scripting and some basic animation in After Effects) I lack the skills in software such as 3DSMax to fully recreate some cutscenes such as the various ones of the Ebon Hawk taking off and landing on the various worlds. Anyway, I decided to first have a stab at the infamous 'Revelation' cutscene, providing my take on the scene, capturing all footage in-game. The cutscene plays out fairly similiarly to how the original does, but, with some of my own alterations/additions. Any constructive feedback is welcome. Installation: Simply drag the BIK file provided and drop it in the "Movies" folder located within your SWKotOR directory. You should probably make a back-up of the original movie in-case the mod fails to work for whatever reason, or in case you simply prefer the original cutscene. Uninstallation: Remove the BIK file and replace it with the original. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Video demonstration of the mod. Mods used in this cutscene: XediiXarwarz - Dantooine 2012 Reskin XediiXarwarz - Taris 2012 Reskin Oldflashi - K1 Movie Style Hilts JC's Lightbaber Visual Effects Sithspecter & jonathan7 - Darth Revan's Robes Revisioned CarthOnasty - Star Map Revamp V.1 Kexikus - High Quality Stars and Nebulas starforge1 - Darth Malak Reskin Pack *I do NOT give permission for this mod to be re-uploaded without my consent.* Contact Info: DeadlyStream. Notes: - Video attached demonstrating the mod. - For some reason, the BIK version of the cutscene removes the subtitles, probably due to cropping. Download the mod here.

For future mods including the planned vanilla version of this, yes, absolutely.

Revan is the only one with a noticeable reskin, Bastila only has a HD version of her textures on, but, I hear ya, planets & characters. I’ll look into doing a more vanilla-friendly version some time.

That's just more art. That doesn't advance the project, if anything it pushes it even further along the wrong path. Artists are a dime a dozen. A monkey could slap together some art assets in Unreal and call it a game (as evidenced by all the asset flips on Steam). What a game needs is programmers. If you don't have any then you shouldn't even bother starting a project. If I was going to undertake a hypothetical KOTOR remake (and let's call it what it actually is and dispense with this "mod" BS) in Unreal or other 3rd party engine, I would start with a fully functional recreation of the Endar Spire level. Forget about the art assets, simple white box mockups and default Unreal characters would suffice. What matters in an RPG is the underlying systems. If you are starting KOTOR from scratch, you need to develop a multi-node branching conversation system, equipment and inventory system, stats and levelling system, party/companion system, ranged and melee combat mechanics, etc. The Endar Spire is the perfect test level for developing and testing that. You have a couple of NPCs with a few lines of dialogue, a couple of conversations, a few combat encounters, a few cutscenes, etc. all in a very small space comprised of a few small rooms linked by corridors. And if you haven't demonstrated even a fraction of any of that after 2 or 3 years of screwing around, you should just stop wasting your time.

Arcann's mask cut in half and mirrored makes for a pretty good full face mask. Or if you prefer to get your temple guard on: Although there are some clipping issues with hair on certain heads, like Hispanic Mullet Man above. Might have to play with that a bit. Edit: And to replace the Tulak Hord helmet in K1 Generally full helmets don't work too well without being scaled up to ridiculous proportions, but this was already pretty giant to begin with, so it shouldn't be too bad for a decent percentage of player heads.

Yes, that's right. However, it was not Improved AI that was causing the problem, but rather the way the scene in TSLRCM was set up. That sort of thing is universal to the game - party member spots an enemy, scene breaks. stoffe's mod improves the reaction time for spotting hostile creatures, so it would guarantee the scene would break. I'm not sure why it wouldn't happen with TSLRCM alone, or if that is indeed the case, as I only know what has been reported. But in any case, the problem is resolved now.

I suppose I could have gone to the market and bought some awesome decorations for my strongholds. Do you think that would make me feel a little more accomplished (see what I did there)?

Thanks to @Chev's hearty perseverance, the Dantooine Theater Company has returned from the dead! The Dantooine Theater Company was a Role-Playing sub-forum and was fairly active back in the day when it was hosted on LucasForums. Of course that all went away when LucasForums closed down, but it can now live on at DeadlyStream @Chev will be in charge of the forum and will be running all sessions for now. PM either @Chev or myself if you have any questions. Enjoy!
