About This File

Visas' Dancer Outfit

By Fair Strides

Description:

This is a small and simple mod that allows Visas Marr to wear the Dancer's Outfit you get on Nar Shaddaa when you dance for Vogga. It will also give you the opportunity to have Visas dance for Vogga just before you will acquire the outfit.

Installation:

Simply unpack the mod and run the TSLPatcher.exe to select an install option. To get Visas to actually dance for Vogga, you will have to run the install three times; once to allow her to wear the outfit, and two more times to install both parts of the dancing for Vogga sequence.

A small warning about making Visas dance for Vogga: this mod is both compatible with TSLRCM and separate from it. In order to make this so, I've added unmodded versions of the levels I edit with this mod, but if you have TSLRCM installed, these unmodded versions won't be installed and they will give off a warning saying that the file already exists. This is harmless and perfectly okay.

Uninstallation:

Each folder inside the tslpatchdata folder has an info.rtf file that has uninstallation instructions for that particular install option.

Permissions:

You have my express permission to re-upload this mod wherever, but only on FOUR conditions:

1. You do not change anything whatsoever about it.

2. You do not upload it to the Steam Workshop. This mod and the way it is done is not designed for Steam Workshop's way of installing mods. Files actually need to be patched for this mod to work.

3. You give credit to me as the author of this mod and must leave the read-me included and intact.

4. You

do not
re-use the resources/files involved in compatibility with Varsity Puppet's "Visas Unmasked!" mod. If you wish to do so, you must contact Varsity Puppet at Lucasforums or Deadlystream,
and

he must say yes
for you to use them!

Credits:

-loseryoda from the KotOR Sub-reddit for making the request in the first place, even if I have gone a little bit beyond what he was requesting...

-Varsity Puppet for allowing me to use parts of his Visas Unmasked installer to make the compatibility option.

There was an older mod that did the same thing back on Kotorfiles. For that mod, you had to battle Visas to make her dance. Do you not have to do that here?

No, I simply re-used a line from the same dialog (she would say, "Yes, that will be fine." if you said you'd ask someone else instead of her) and basically disabled her refusal. This was the cleanest option I could think of without poring over all of her lines and/or trying to rely on the interpretations of re-using her "My life for yours" line...

The Dark-side look of the outfit put me Heavily in mind of some of the sand monsters from Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

Specifically these disturbing women *shudders*: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/princeofpersia/images/a/ae/HaremSandCreatures.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080527024152&path-prefix=en

Still, nice work.

:D

Ah, yes... Those women scared the crap out of me the first time I found them... And I will admit that the skin tones for the dancer outfit, regardless of alignment, just barely don't quite match the tone of her face... (I was using her normal underwear skin to match the tones for her LS Dancer's Outfit and the DS version of her face to match the skin tones for her DS Dancer's Outfit).

I cannot get this file to work.  I have the GOG version of KOTOR 2.  Could this have something to do with it?

GOG version is the closest version to the 4CD, so that isn't the issue.

Which parts of the mod did you try installing, and were there any errors in the installations?

Also, what is happening in-game? What are you trying?

I installed all 3 parts of the mod and there were no errors in the installation.  I used the Save game editor to put a dancer's outfit into my inventory.  Do I need to go through the Dance scene for it to work?  I'm on Dxun right now and when I try to equip the dancer's outfit it is outlined in red and the game will not let me equip it to her.  Let me know if you need any other information, and thank you for helping me.

Please try re-running the first part of the installer again, and if that doesn't work, I'll need a list of your mods and I would need you to PM me the installlog.rtf file and the g_i_danceroutfit.uti file.

Hey there!
When I'm starting the quest, dialogue goes as intended ,but the whole body of Visas dissapears, only head is visible. And suit itself remains "red" and can't be equipped by VIsas..
I have a steam version of KotOR II, RCM + M4-78 enabled.
Installed all 3 parts to both game and workshop directories.

I'm not able to get this game to work with TSLRCM installed.  I even did a complete reinstall then added only TSLRCM and this mod.  Visas refuses to dance and trying to wear the dress on it's own crashes the game.  I'm not sure if it effects it, but I am using TSLRCM + M4-78EP.  Is there something else I can try to make it work?
