It's finally here!

At last, The Sith Lords Restored Content Modification 1.8.6 has been successfully ported to the original Xbox. The game is now able to be fully completed from beginning to end with zero major issues. This upload is in the form of patched files that must be added on top of an existing installation of the mod.

 

Requirements

-An original Xbox capable of launching homebrew (soft or hardmodded)

-Some method to transfer files between your Xbox and PC (FTP is recommended)

-At least 5GB of space on your Xbox's HDD

-A physical copy of Knights of the Old Republic II for the Xbox

 

Installation

1. IMPORTANT! If you have previously dumped the first Knights of the Old Republic game to your Xbox, ensure that you change the folder it's located in from its default ("StarWars") to any other name. If you do not do this, both games will end up dumped into the same folder, ruining both installations

2. Use UnleashX to dump your game disc to your Xbox's HDD. Other methods of dumping the game may be possible, but I can only promise it works using UnelashX

3. FTP the entire game folder to your PC, and create an additional backup of it on your PC in the event you need to restart the installation

4. Run the official TSLRCM 1.8.6 installer .exe, which you can find here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/578-tsl-restored-content-mod/

5. Specify the Xbox dump of the game as the folder to which the mod should be installed. (i.e. D:\Games\SWKotOR2\). When in doubt, it's the folder with "default.xbe" located inside it.

6. Delete the following files from the newly created Override folder: 235TEL.lyt, 235TEL.vis, 235TELA.mdl, 235TELA.mdx, and 235TELA.wok,

7. Delete every .tga file from Override

8. Delete 601DAN.mod from Modules

9. Extract the contents of the Install Package into the root game folder, overwriting any files if asked

10. Delete the original, unmodified rip of KotOR II on your Xbox's HDD

11. FTP the modified KotOR II back to your console in a location of your choosing

 

Known Issues

High Priority:

-The Battle of Khoonda is currently not implemented. The restored version of this sequence spawns so many NPCs that it causes the Xbox to choke to death on its own assets within seconds of the battle starting, so it has been reverted to its vanilla version. If you would like to see this happen (not recommended), simply don't delete 601DAN.mod from the Modules folder.

 

Low Priority

-On very rare occasions, a significant performance drop may occur during combat that passes after a few seconds. This may or may not be an issue with the Xbox version and may or may not be related to Jedi Guardian characters not currently controlled by the player initiating a Force Jump, but it's so uncommon that diagnosing it is difficult.

This is incredible work! I need time to figure out how to mod my Xbox and I just sold my copy of The Sith Lords for the Xbox, but not a big deal. I look forward to figuring this out at some point.

great job bro, I was also making a version of this mod, but I never finished it, and I was only missing the .mod files, I wasn't good at them, but I'm glad someone finished it, about the problem with Datooin with Khoonda, I was talking to a friend, and I recommended that perhaps a solution to use the original restoration was to try to reduce the npc, he said that it is possible to do it and he was going to try to make a mod for that, if it is possible to reduce the npc I will report here

That was exactly my solution for the Khoonda battle, as well. Unfortunately, I don't know how to handle code or scripts to save my life, so I'd be happy to hear about whatever progress gets made.

By the way bro, is this compatible with any version of Xbox? Let me explain what happens is that I have the Xbox Kotor 2 in Spanish, and well when I extracted the content of the PC mod I had given it Spanish, if I install your version will it still be translated? I have no problems with placing the text files in the override folder of the version I was making, but I am worried about the .mod files that, as I mentioned, I will not be able to finish since they are terrible for me XD

Now that is cursed, in a good way!

 

When I first saw the mod's main image with the Xbox logo I thought someone had copied my Knights of the Old XBOX TSL mod. Much like everyone else, I was not expecting an Xbox TSLRCM Port in 2024.

I haven't tested other language versions, but selecting Spanish in the TSLRCM installer should give you the correct language. I make no guarantees, though.

I see, I just installed it in my version and it seems to work, one thing I saw is that a part of the narsadda gameplay that was used in the version that I was making is not in yours, it was after you played as T3-M4 in narshada , you played a part like atom, T3-M4 and Look, you removed that part because it was with one of the modules that failed? I remember that in Narshada they only gave icing on the 301nar and 305nar, forgive my bad English

Now that I think about it bro, I fixed the 222TEL15.mdl and the s_male02.mdl in my version, leave it and I'll give them to you so you can try them

I mentioned this in our DMs, but I'll post it again here. That scene is present and should be working. The issue is likely that you're using an old save file. If you encounter this problem with a clean install on a brand new save file, please let me know.

ok, I'm trying with a clean one from 0 (I play on xbox 360) I haven't gotten to narshada yet, but I saw that the kreia cinematic when xion leaves for the first time in his ship didn't come out so it seemed strange to me and I didn't continue trying At least Narshada's save restored it to hk50, but the atom part didn't work, so I stopped playing, in fact it seems strange to me that the module folder doesn't have so many .mod files, I don't know if it can be reviewed, greetings, and I already saw that one of the files I gave you was useful to you
