New area transition to new module

Recommended Posts

Is there any tutorial on how to make a new transition area to a new module?

I haven't found any such tutorial here or on lucasforums on archive.org...

All i know so far is that i must record the XYZ coordinates of where i want the new transition area using the whereami console command, but i have no idea how to implement the transition area to the module. :(

I want to insert the new transition area here on Lehon:

Many thanks in advance!

You need to add a trigger to the area's GIT file and have it linked to a waypoint in another module. Your best bet would be to find an existing transition in the area and copy what it's doing.

You can also use doors as well. Either via script, if you want it to remain permanently closed, or the door itself can act as a transition trigger simply by passing through it.

The K1 Dantooine Enclave module (danm13) is a good reference, since it has one of each. The transition to the Ebon Hawk uses a trigger, the transition to the Courtyard uses a door.

Edit: Ah, I see you have updated your post. Your proposed transition would need to use a trigger.
