Does anyone have an Obi-Wan ROTS lightsaber mod for K1 and TSL?

Or would someone be willing to make said saber for me for both games?

I've never seen a standalone version of the hilt.

Thanks!

It's part of Oldflash's Movie-Style hilts mod - https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic/file/movie-style-replacement-lightsaber-hilts

If you just want that hilt, just only use that model and its textures. You'll need to recompile the model in order to use it in TSL. You'll have to use MDLOps v1.0 for that, since MDLEdit chokes on models compiled with ye olde versions of MDLOps, such as this one.

For whatever reason I've been having problems running MDLOps on my systems since I switched over to the Steam version of the game instead of the disc.

I tried this with one of the hilts you gave me last year actually, and the program keeps looking for a non-existent Lucasarts folder instead of going through the Steam folder. Even when I edit the paths (and yes, I've done it correctly because KSE still works) I can't get MDLOps to run. :(

Side note: isn't the Kenobi hilt in that pack bugged? Because it always looked like it was 0.7 times the size of the other hilts, and the blade always clipped through the neck.

You're thinking of KOTOR Tool. MDLOps is a completely standalone model compiler/decompiler.

You know what, you are right. I am mistaking the two. I usually use the Kotor tool to get the lightsaber files I'm going to overwrite. My bad!

I'll give it a try and see if I can get it. Thanks again, Darth!

I wouldn't say bugged, given that it was an intentional decision by Oldflash, but yes it is a little undersized when you compare it to the vanilla hilt mesh. But he sized it based on diameter in order to prevent it clipping through the hands. The clipping of the blade planes is due to the positioning, as the hilt is also a little high and the emitter is a little small even for the scale of the rest of the hilt.

If the emitter were a bit thicker compared to the hilt body, it probably wouldn't be as noticable. I can't create models though, so I can't really judge his methods.

Do you have overlays for the other hilts in the pack like that? I'd be curious to see the other sizes compared.
