TheDarkChocolateJedi Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I want to know how to get these games working on mac, I have them on console but I cannot play them on mac because it's not compatible. And I want to mod fallout 3 and new vegas but there aren't any tutorials on how to get it running on mac any advice? (Please no wineskin suggestions) because wineskin probably wouldn't run these giant open world games too well unless I'm wrong. Quote

Unless there is a Mac port of the games, you need to run .exe files. For that, you need Crossover or Wineskin. Quote

1Leonard Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Which works better FS? Wineskin or crossover? Crossover is a commercial application of wineskin by the same developers. If I'm honest you'd better use bootcamp and run fallout 3 and NV through windows. I dabbled in wineskin for years but that really is the best solution. Quote
Circa Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 What he said ^ Bootcamp will be the smoothest option, especially for big games like Fallout 3 and NV. I only run Bootcamp for games that I can't play any other way, like SWTOR and K2 (though not anymore!). You'll have a smoother and reduced hassle experience if you use Bootcamp rather than a Wine wrapper or Crossover, or even a VM. BUT this means you either have to buy Windows (which will cost you an arm and a leg) or run Windows illegally. Quote
TheDarkChocolateJedi Posted August 6, 2015 Author Posted August 6, 2015 Well how much does windows cost? And I am not running it illegally that would be idiotic. Quote
