    Is this mod compatible with:

    i) Brotherhood of Shadow - Solomon's Revenge
    ii) K1 Community Patch
    iii) K1 Force Pack v1.0
    iv) Party Leveler K1

    please?

    Sorry for the late reply.

Brotherhood of Shadow - Solomons Revenge: I'd say it is very unlikely at the moment, I would have to look into this at a later date. The reason why I think this might not work is because I already use texture files from this mod in K1GI meaning you'll find K1GI Republic Jedi Robes and BOSSR Republic Jedi Robes, the same item but with different stats. Plus, some NPCs have been used as well such as the Republic Commando who appears once in BOSSR but appears multiple times across the vanilla galaxy in K1GI.

K1 Community Patch: I wouldn't suspect this would break anything but it 'may' undo a few things in terms of NPCs etc and maybe dialogue. At some point past the Demo stage, I will try and implement as many "Patches" from here as possible.

K1 Force Pack V1.0: I suspect that would work 100% fine, in fact, parts of this could be integrated in the future as the mod author states in his readme that he doesn't mind it being used as long as its credited.

Party Leveler K1: If it uses a TSLPatcher I suspect it is possible that this mod will work flawlessly, if it doesn't work flawlessly I can create a Party Leveler K1GI version as an optional installation.

Thank you, and thank you very much indeed for all your efforts in trying to develop an all-in-one gameplay improvement mod for KOTOR I - very much appreciated!

I'm glad you've enjoyed the mod thus far.

Have you considered combining your mod with Selphadur's Kotor Texture Redux mod into a single project?  That would create a single all-in-one K1-HD-Textures+Gameplay-Improvement-Mod (K1-HD+GIM), which would be awesome, and so much easier to use than the plethora of separate mods available now.

No, mainly because that mod is almost 10 GB in size. Plus, even with that mod installed you'll have vanilla textures in HD with modded textures in the standard resolution (Think about the new Jedi Robe items and alien skins for example)

  2. So I have made a brand new placeable within TSL which adds a new line to the placeable.2da file. In order to make this mod compatible with other mods which use the same 2da file what must I do? My biggest fear is that, just in case my utp file with my placeable used 2da row 2000 and another mod in the override used the row 2000 if the patcher converted my modded row to 2da row 2001 would I need to set the patcher to also patch the utp file to 2001.

Would anyone know what I should do?

OK, here's a revised version using elements from the adjusted TSL animation, along with TSL's glass-in-hand prop to go with it. There are still some glass positioning/clipping issues, and it obviously gets nowhere near the mouth/face, but I have tried - and failed - to resolve that in the past, so fixing it would be up to someone else. Perhaps someone like @Alvar007 could take a look at it.

At the moment I have injected it into S_Male01 (the highest level supermodel) as the weld animation, since humans don't have that anim but it is scriptable (ANIMATION_LOOPING_WELD).

At the moment, what I am seeing now looks somewhat decent. Perhaps the key issues are what I am not seeing, would love to see this played out in a Taris Cantina with the NPCs all performing this animation (But if you aren't going through with it you might as well not even bother).

I think giving the named Quarrens unique appearances would already be a big improvement. Maybe what is needed more are Quarrens in non-exhange-boss roles.

Who's the fourth named Quarren btw? Besides Slusk, Saquesh and Visquis ...

Qimtiq, but he's the Quarren swoop organiser on Onderon. As far as I'm aware, he's the fourth and last Quarren with a role in TSL.

Could change one to human, mon calamari, a third to a devaronian, keep one as quarren, have one as a cyborg (granted he or she would be human true) but that would break up the "evil alien overload" trend they insisted on for it. The fact that they went with having the player character as specifically human also seemed to fit that trend to. I'd have liked to have seen a falleen actually, in reference to Xizor, but I noticed that would be hard to do because of the spine ridges, and likely the claws to :(

A Human would most likely require a custom VO, a devaronian is very doable, a Cyborg would require a custom reskin and a Falleen species would need to be modelled from scratch. Not to mention that some characters refer to the Quarren gangsters as "Squids", that would also need to be fixed.

Someone pointed out to me today Ren's scar disappears for half the movie.

    Whoops.

Apparently Rey healed it when she healed his stab wound.

To be fair, it kinda makes sense (and by "makes sense" I mean "it makes sense in a trilogy where nothing makes sense".)

  7. For the first time I watched a Star Wars filmed in December instead of January, I was first in line and behind my seat in the middle where several little children who giggled from the opening commercials before the film to the ending credits of the movie. Other than the kiddies, I thought the film was "acceptable" considering they had the dumpster fire of a movie TLJ to work with. Things that disappointed me in this film isn't necessarily what people would expect me to complain about.

    2
    Spoiler

There was a joke back when they announced the red Sith Troopers that they'd only have 2 minutes of screen time and that they were over-hyped before the movie came out to sell toys, sad to say is that they were right. During that whole film, Sith Soldiers were only there for about 2 minutes in the background, the Sith Star Destroyer pilots got more love then the Sith Troopers ffs. You think Porg's where a shitty attempt at selling toys, think again.

During the final space battle, for some reason, I was really hoping to see the Naboo Royal Airforce appear as a cameo. All the ships who appear are just "people" according to the movie, apparently, the Sith sent out a message to all planets to "surrender or be destroyed" basically which would have obviously reached Naboo. I was also disappointed to see at the end you only ever see destroyed Star Destroyers above Bespin and Endor and none of the other prequel planets (And I bet we will learn in comics, books and video games about how those Star Destroyers got destroyed above those planets). This is probably part of the whole "prequel neglect" Disney sequels tend to have.

Don't kill me for saying this, but I felt that Rose should have been a character to have gone along with the Journey with Finn, Poe and the others. You've introduced her as a "main character" in TLJ (Kinda like Lando in TESB) and did to her like what they did to Captain Marvel in Endgame (Though unlike Captain Marvel, I somewhat didn't hate Rose as a character), even it meant Rose was just an extra blaster with few lines for the crew that still would have been a better option.

I was disappointed Hayden Christensen only appeared as a voice cameo for only a brief second, I was really hoping to see a Force Ghost as every other fan did. What really made me go "What the hell?" though was when Harrison Ford appeared as a cameo as Han Solo again, the reason why that surprised me is that, as many of you may know, Harrison Ford hated Han Solo and wanted to have him killed off in Return of the Jedi.

I really disliked that bounty hunter Poe love interest character, she was hyped as the main character and barely served any real purpose in the film other than to give Poe that Captain's medallion to board the star destroyer. Unlike the Storm Trooper deserter character who gets more screen time, a proper back story and a fight scene at the end this character gives Poe the medallion and doesn't appear again until after the Battle of Exegol (If she does appear I swear it must have been 3 seconds because I can't remember). Really disappointing that they put more effort into Rose, a simple engineer, than this potentially badass female bounty hunter character.

I've seen some people complain about how by bringing the Emperor back it totally makes Anakin's sacrifice totally in-vein. What people have probably forgotten is that this happens in Legends as well, in Legends, not only did the Emperor come back but the Emperor managed to convert Luke Skywalker to the dark side so in my opinion, the Disney option wasn't too bad of a route to go down. I still feel that it will require lots of Disney Expanded Universe books, comics and video games to add more lore to the whole dumpster fire so it makes more sense, which at this point is something Disney probably does on purpose to milk the franchise dry.

I noticed some dumb errors during the film, like that one scene where we see Rey slice a berry pot on the planet during the weird Star Destroyer and the berries splatter all over Kylo's room, I didn't mind that though what I didn't like was the fact that once the duel ended the berries were nowhere in sight as Rey runs out.

Rian Johnson, take notes: Subverting expectations only "works" when it makes sense, use General Hux's betrayal as an example of subverting expectations that kinda worked out.

At this current time, I can't really remember anything worth mentioning right now. I may add to this later.

  8. Amongst the little things I am playing with, this feature appears to be in a 'releasable' condition.

    Spoiler

    20191212212047_1.thumb.jpg.efceb55c5794b63d8458b2589340773b.jpg

The first image is an extension to Atton's conversation in 104per (The Exterior of the Control Room). In vanilla, Atton says "Oh, what now?" and "I don't believe this, there's a ship coming in.". In between these two lines are now several lines from the computer VO in 101per, the same VO which says "WARNING: There has been a fuel detonation in the mining tunnels. Emergency Lockdown commencing. All personnel report to quarters and prepare for emergency venting countermeasures.". This image is a preview of one of the restored lines

    20191212212324_1.thumb.jpg.7033221ad9e1e815fdd9db4616f96c5a.jpg

The second line is of Kreia's "He has come." line where she acknowledges Sion's arrival. This was restored in TSLRCM but poorly as it spawns Kreia behind Atton in the background of the Control Room (Which is horrifically low res) and has her visibly say her line there despite it being unnecessary (Plus I remember ages ago this was one of LucyTheAliens many requests from back in the day, not that I care about any of her requests but I do agree it did look pretty bad). This photo is a preview of my fix.

    As the title says.

I'm going to start another playthrough of TSL and I need some good mods for a dark-side run.

I'm aiming for mods that add story and content or alternatively just plain fun, like Curse of the Sith, Korriban Expansion and Tomb of Azgath D'nul. Perhaps anything that adds more force powers. I also want to include TSLRCM in this list if it's at all possible.

I'm also aware that a lot of TSL mods don't tend to play nicely with each other,

so if you guys have any suggestions on patches I should get or special installation orders, please fill me in!

    Thank you!

You should try the GenoHaradan Legacy Mod:

Similar to M4-78, the GenoHaradan was planned for Kotor 2 but was cut early on leaving very few remaining content to restore thus it was never restored in TSLRCM. This mod restores the GenoHaradan in a lore friendly manner adding a few faction hunting down the Exile during his/her search for the Jedi Masters. It is TSLRCM compatiable.

Could someone (in spoilers tags or in a private message) tell me where the Hukta ambush takes place?

    Thank you.

    Spoiler

It should take place within a Hangar Bay, when I played K1R back in the day I know that it occurred in the Manaan Hangar. Maybe keep playing and it should eventually happen.

Read the readme, young Padawan. TSLPatcher can't edit existing TLK StrRefs, only append new ones. While there may be alternatives in the future, currently your only practical option is to modify the TLK directly and do a hard overwrite.

Hypothetically speaking, I could write my new journal entries as new TLK entries and modify the global.jrl to point to my new journals instead of the vanilla journals. Would that work? Or am I stuck with hard overwrite?

  12. So what I have done is modified how a certain side quest works, everything in-game relating to the quest works exactly to how I intend it to work. The problem is that the vanilla journal entries for this quest now no longer make sense due to my edits, what I want to do is make a TSLPatcher installation to modify the tlk lines for these journals. From past threads, I got a gut feeling one does not simply "modify already existing TLK lines" and that I must use an alternate method to do what I need to do.

That being said, would anyone know how I should go about doing this correctly?

  13. Kotor II Restored Content Plus

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.0.0 Release Date: 18.05.2025

    Installation:
Please install The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod 1.8.6 FIRST, no exceptions.

It is highly advised to install the KOTOR 2 Community Patch before this mod, this is optional.

This mod is divided into two parts, the HoloPatcher component and the Override Component.

To install Override Component features, simply open their folders and copy their mod files to the Kotor 2 Override folder.

To install HoloPatcher Component features, simply click on the HoloPatcher.exe, pick your desired restoration, click install, and sit back and watch the installer do its magic.

WARNING: It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam.

Do note that this mod is highly decentralized, whilst this gives you the ability to pick and choose what you'd like it also means you'll have to install each feature individually if you want them all.

    Description:
The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) is the mod that saved Kotor II after its disastrous December 2004 release that saw the game practically unfinished and riddled with annoying bugs. This mod is THE number one go-to mod for Kotor II, it's so popular that Aspyr "tried" to bring the mod to Nintendo Switch via a DLC and when that DLC was cancelled there was an uproar amongst Star Wars fans for having done this.

Despite the claim that TSLRCM fixed the bugs and restored the cut content, that factually isn't true. There are many bugs that TSLRCM missed and there is cut content still being found in the game files to this very day, though just because these bugs and cut content exist doesn't mean they could/should be fixed/restored.

Things like M4-78 and the GenoHaradan go beyond the scope of TSLRCM's goals and as such were restored as standalone mods rather than being part of TSLRCM, cut content like Lt. Yima's quest has hardly anything left to restore except for a typo riddled dialogue for Yima and journal entries, and bugs like the Mandalorians on the Ravager having Dark Jedi soundsets are so obscure and easily missable that it hardly justifies a TSLRCM update.

As is stands, TSLRCM 1.8.6 is seen by many as being 'completed' - that it succeeded in doing what it set out to do.

Enter stage the Kotor II Restored Content Plus mod, I mod I've thrown together to restore even MORE cut content to Kotor II (more bug fixes can be found in N-DReW's Bug Fix Collection for TSL).

    What's Restored in K2RC+:

    Spoiler

    OM=Override Mods

    UAP=Unique Appearance Restorations
    SR=Smuggler Restoration
    R01R=Rodian 01 Restoration
    FCR=Fat Commoner Restoration
    DR=Dialogue Restorations
    SDR=Street Dancer Restoration

    General:
    * HK-47's TSLRCM dialogue has been improved with bug fixes, dialogue corrections, and restored lines. The changelog of my changes can be found in "HK-47 Changes.txt" (OM)

    Peragus:

    Harbinger:
    * Restored the Harbinger Captain's Unique Appearance (UAP)

    Telos:
    * Restored a Twi'lek Street Dancer and his Bith Companion in the Citadel Dock Module (SDR)
    * The Rodian Bounty Hunter encountered during the Czerka plotline now uses the cut Rodian 01 variant appearance (R01R)
    * The human Exchange Thug in the Exchange Compound now uses a Smuggler's Appearance rather than a Generic Appearance (SR)

    * veteran.dlg- Restored an alternative line here.
    Original: Explain something to me.
Altnerative: I don't understand something. Maybe you can explain it to me. (DR)

    * 201drdi.dlg- The Ithorian droid used to start his post-fight dialogue with "I will trust your judgment, master. Lead the way". This line is the wrong line, this line is also used in the Czerka player responses. The correct line is "Thank you for saving me, master. Will you be escorting me to the Ithorian compound?" (DR)

    * 201drdi.dlg- The Ithorian droid will now start his post-fight dialogue with "Greetings. I am the Ithorian restoration project management droid." (DR)

    * 231bdur- If you are alone with Bao-Dur, after he says "I always feel a sense of calm when I walk the surface of Telos. The Ithorians are truly amazing in their work" he will then say "Quiet! There's a large mercenary patrol up ahead". The "Quiet" line has been replaced with the more fitting "Look! There's a large mercenary patrol in the valley up ahead." (DR)

    * 231bdur- If Atton is in the party or if you reply "A whisper, perhaps. Like the breeze through the grass" to Kreia, Bao-Dur will say "Quiet! There's a large mercenary patrol up ahead" though if you reply "No, I feel nothing but emptiness" to Kreia he will instead say "Look! There's a large mercenary patrol in the valley up ahead". The "Look" line has been replaced with the "Quiet" line to be consistent with the other party lines whilst the "Look" line only appears if you are alone with Bao-Dur. (DR)

    * 231bdur- If Atton is in the party instead of Kreia, he will be the one to give the "If we move carefully" lines instead of Bao-Dur. (DR)

    * plateau- The way TSLRCM restored the HK-50 congratulates the shooter content is by editing this dialogue, but TSLRCM edited it in such a way that it results in their lines being repeated several times in the dialogue feedback box. This bug has been fixed.

    * hk501- TSLRCM restored a cut line for this scene by replacing a vanilla line with the cut line. This vanilla line that TSLRCM cut has been brought back alongside the restored line, the vanilla line was "Irritated Declaration: There you are. It has been extremely difficult to track you down, Jedi.". (DR)

    * hk501- Restored the following lines to this scene, increasing the amount of lines from three in TSLRCM to six in this mod. The lines are "Announcement: You have caused us to expenditure a great deal of effort to find you, Jedi.", "Clarification: But now that we have found you, we hope that we can facilitate communications.", "And put an... end to hostilities.", and "Threat: Come with us without resistance, Jedi... or you will come with us in pain." (DR)

    Nar Shaddaa:
    * Rutum now uses the male Fat Commoner Appearance rather than a Generic Appearance (FCR)
    * Ratrin Vek now uses a Smuggler's Appearance rather than a Player Head (SR)
    * Lootra now uses a Smuggler's Appearance rather than a Generic Appearance (SR)
    * Odis now uses a Smuggler's Appearance rather than a Generic Appearance (SR)
    * A Rodian Thug in the Jekk'Jekk Tarr now uses the cut Rodian 01 variant appearance (R01R)

    Dxun:
    * ritlead.dlg- Instead of the Sith Master saying "A shame... instead of freedom and power, you have chosen death. So be it." when you finish the Tomb of Freedan Nadd, he will now have a unique line depending on each ending. The Tomb Light Side ending will have him say "A shame..." whilst the Dark Side ending will have him say "Fool! Kill him, my brothers." or "Fool! Kill them, by brothers." depending on their gender (DR)

    Onderon:
    * Terlyn now uses the female Fat Commoner Appearance rather than an Onderon Commoner Appearance (FCR)
    * Vix now uses the cut Rodian 01 variant appearance (R01R)

d_thug.dlg- Restored the line "I've said what I'm going to say. I've got things to do right now." to the thug outside Dhagon's place  (DR)

    Dantooine:
    * Restored Ralon's Unique Appearance (UAP)

    Korriban:
    * malak.dlg- If you are Dark Side, Malak will no longer say "And now you are all alone. Would you join me now? You didn't follow Revan and I down our path. Join us. Your journey hasn't ended yet.", he will now say "There is much ambition and pride in you. I sense given the chance you may have followed me on the entire journey. Will you join me now?"

    * malak.dlg- Restored an extra Malak line that goes "So will you join us? Join us all?" (DR)

    Ravager:

    Malachor:

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have any bugs but if there are please report them to me on Deadlystream.

The "Street Dancer Restoration" is supposed to have music play when you are within their vicinity, though as of right now the music is silent in-game.

Can you elaborate on what you have made? Is this like a personal project where you've created Kotor modules for the VR Headset?

From what I can see now it is of decent quality, perhaps a tad more detail and change the black to a silver could help.

  16. Been a while since I made a WIP thread, this is a mod which many would consider small depending on how you want to look at it. If you haven't been living under a rock over the years you might have noticed AFP's K1 and TSL Community Patch mods, these mods are like a mod pack which contains dozens of AFP's work and other peoples mods which all fix a certain bug in both games. What makes this mod pack so great is that it makes installing all of these mini mods easier by combining them into one mod.

This mod I am developing is similar to his mod without the whole permission business as everything within my mod will be my own work, hence the title "N-DReW's Mini Mod Collection".

The premise of my mod is to merge all of my current (and future) small/obscure restoration mods into this big mod to make installing them all easier. In the first release of this mod it will only contain a single mod, thus is why this thread was been made so that I may announce future updates as well to allow players to leave feedback and suggestions for future updates ("Which mod I should include", "What you think about an upcoming mod" etc).

For now, I will leave you with a little preview of the 1.0 release:

    20191113180753_1.thumb.jpg.e9c357c08a2da440d974358aabe9a7a8.jpg

    Full Context:

    Spoiler

Within the module files for 512OND exists an unused utc file and a dlg file. The utc character file is the NPC you see above, a blonde commoner with a combat suit with only proficiency all (To give NPCs the ability to wield any item) and complex unarmed animations (To give her TSL style unarmed combat animations). For the mod, she has been given a "prop" vibroblade (Green variant) and "prop" blaster (Bendak Starkiller variant) for weapons which she can use against the player, she won't drop these weapons but will drop her combat suit. In addition to new loot, she also has her stats re-balanced so that she still weaker than the Rodian but stronger than those thugs in the background.

Her dialogue exists in the files as a stand alone dlg called "bounty2.dlg" while the Twi'lek Bounty Hunter is called "bounty1.dlg", this might suggest that the Rodian thug was developed later and the Twilek Bounty Hunter was supposed to ambush the player first. Interestingly, the dialogue only has the male dialogue but the VO in the dialogue refers to the player as a her. The real male VO is located within the 502OND sound files alongside a few unused "first draft" VO, additionally, the subtitle in the dialogue also has "<FullName>!" which is used in dialogues to make aliens say the players full name. As only aliens can properly do this, this might have been when the developers decided to change her to an alien before replacing her totally with a Rodian.

This mod is ultimately the best attempt at putting together an obscure and messy piece of cut content.

  17. What happened to the old "Spoiler" mechanic the site used to have? A while back, I remember in the new site update you could use spoilers similar to how "quotes" work and the spoiler would hide the content written inside the spoiler so that people viewing can avoid seeing what you say.

With the release of Episode 9 happening in 2 months time having this feature restored by then would be handy. Personally, I use spoilers in my PMs so that I can tidy and organise the PM's up so that the user I PM isn't flooded with walls of paragraphs, paragraphs I would rather hide in a spoiler so that the user I am PMing doesn't have to immediately see an overwhelming wall of text whenever I PM them.

I think what I may have done wrong is install party swap first then try downloading the handmaiden for female exile from Jedi temple compatibility and try doing the uninstallation method in the read me.

Would deleting the files from the override fix it or do i just need to uninstall and reinstall or start a new game over from the beginning or something?

EDIT: I tried deleting all the files I thought were from party swap and now chose "Don't take Handmaiden." I will see if that works or not.

Wait, so you downloaded Party Swap and Handmaiden for Female at the same time? I'd recommend just using PartySwap, Handmaiden for female and Disciple for male does as the title says whilst PartySwap adds both Disciple and Handmaiden for whatever gender meaning you get both characters.

As you installed the mods through workshop I would suggest unsubscribing from all the mods you're subscribed to and delete any file which remains in the Override. Then you'll resubscribe to the mods and install only PartySwap into the Workshop override, not Handmaiden for female. This should hopefully fix your bug.

  20. Did you install PartySwap into the normal Override or the Workshop Override? The workshop override contains all of your TSLRCM files and other Workshop mods, to install a mod from the internet and install it into K2 you would need to install it into your Workshop override. If you don't, it causes problems because you have mods inside the normal Override and the Workshop Override at the same time.

Exile as handmaiden - bugged atris fight.
I recently installed the recruit handmaiden as female exile mod along with the compatibility patch for m478. Now I'm at the fight with atris with the exile but with the handmaidens dialogue. Then the fight between exile and atris gets stuck during the second phase. Does anyone know any way to fix this?

If it helps I am using tslrcm/m478 enhancement and the compatability patch with handmaiden for female exile mods.

When I go to dxun to finish the onderon questline before meeting the Jedi masters I get a prompt to take the handmaiden or not before starting the sith temple part. I chose to take the handmaiden.

This is on Steam and I have Canonical female exile appearance, hk 47/hk 50 skin, Original Trilogy lightsabers, Jedi Council Coruscant, M478EP, TSLRC and handmaiden for female exile mod installed.

Important question, you are playing on Steam but did you install the mod through the dowloaded installers (The normal way) or through the Steam Workshop (Subscribing to mods via Steam)?
