Kaevee VO is ok. I was fooled to think she comes from the vanilla game, and not from restored content. She's ok, at least compared to M4-78EP mod's droid city female voice. That is crap.

Ask the Developer of Revenge of Revan....a Question.

Kapryshyn is a Star Wars "local idiot", something between Jar-Jar Binks and Rosh Penin... Just skip him. And his "book". -
Ask the Developer of Revenge of Revan....a Question.

ok, THE QUESTION OF THE DAY is: where can I download it?... -
Really?... What about 4CD retail version? I thought it gotta be written together. Need to check my .ini O_o
-
Yes, its without spaces. Change it to be written together. *puff* = faster game

*COUGH!* I'm f*ckin' speechles. IT.WORKS. I have "Jade Empire"-style soft-as-a-silk-shadows, and didn't even notice any performance impact. THANKS! Why this trick isn't official? Even on pcgames wiki they hadn't mention that. It's like black magic. Forbidden.

Strange that a newer Odyssey engine game "Jade Empire" work flawlessly on AMD cards: anti-aliasing + soft shadows work like a charm. The .ini file of that game has even a special option called (not sure about the exact name, it was a long time ago) EnableAtiSpecificAntialiasing and makes game to work even smoother. KOTOR, Jade Empire are all built on Odyssey. Strange, but true. Of course, not every ATI/AMD card is so "amiable" with "Jade Empire", but mine is. KOTOR2 on the other hand, an older engine don't like my gfx card. Until now Well, partialy. About what issue are you talking about The Eradicator? Aren't all ATI/AMD cards' drivers just called 'Catalyst Drivers'? So then?...
-
Yep, it works. Grass is rendered properly. Soft Shadows are still disabled though. It didn't work for you? And you're mentioning it here...
-
This is awesome, man. Exactly what I needed. Before this, the only workaround to get rid of those grass bug was to completely disable ani-aliasing. Not anymore Big thanks!

Greetings to everyone! If I may be so bold I would like to announce a "small trilogy" of mine regarding Exile's adventures taking place after the events from TSL, which I am producing now. The first episode called "Licking Wounds" is already released. Indeed, in my version of events the Jedi Exile is (obviously) a light-side female (no more Jedi-fuckin'-Jesus, geez....) and the series takes a more comedic approach The trilogy is set up as follows: Episode I: Licking Wounds Episode II: Message in a Bottle Episode III: Search for an Old Master Every episode shall steal around 15 minutes of your life Cover: Episode I's opening crawl: Knights of the Old Republic LICKING WOUNDS It is a time of relative peace in the Republic. After defeating hidden Sith menace - THE TRIUMVIRATE, the Outer Rim worlds are slowly recovering from the Jedi-Sith war and Core Worlds continue to thrive and prosper. Republic opened numerous new trade routes and even the crime rate has diminished in the entire Republic-controlled space since unfortunate turmoils on Nar Shadda. Jedi Exile LYNN QUE'R fleeing from the second destruction of Malachor V decided to lie low for an indefinite amount of time. After consulting with ATTON RAND the smuggler, she and the rest of survivors are headed to the planet of CORELLIA to catch a breath and take much needed rest. Lynn hoping to live in solitude and detached from the events of mundane world is about to discover that she and her friends are yet to play an important role in this galaxy... Episode I snapshots: As I said, the first episode is available to download. Two other episodes, while still in very early stages will soon follow. Some technical specs to consider: video: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC @ 1600x900 @ 30 fps 6500 kbps audio: 44.100 Hz 160 kbps runtime: 14 mins 56 secs container: mp4 file size (unpacked): ~683 MB So these make it a near full-hd quality video. DOWNLOAD LINK(S): EPISODE I: LICKING WOUNDS https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=7F19E289F6F6BF27%21832 https://www.dropbox.com/s/poworn8jlgnpm26/swkotor2tsl_m_lw.zip OK, that's it folks. Hopefully, we can exchange some nice stories about my series as well as (hopefully) provide some vital feedback too Looking forward to talking with you soon! PS. Uploading to YouTube is encouraged. Just write somewhere that this vid has been made by W4rb1rd and not by you. That shall do it. Thanks.

1) inability to go to hidden Jedi Academy and confront Atris 2) yesterday 3) yes 4) after talking with Kreia in Jedi Enclave (killing/saving Jedi Masters cutscene) 5) of course, please read previous post(s)

No problem.

Your assumption is incorrect

Besides all that . . . HeeeElllLLoooOOoooo! We have an ERROR over here in M4-78 EP. It makes the game unplayable! Can I get some help from anybody?
-
It did looked different, reddish lightning or something Yes, the dialogues were, as always with HK droids, very amusing, but the credit goes for, yes, HK droids (or the actor who did awesome job), not that particular level design.

Well, I played up to the moment when you meet up with Jedi Masters (or what's left of them). As I said before, I killed Vrook (cos' he was an annoying old grandpa in both games) and saved two other Jedi Masters (Vash does not count). Well, yes, somehow they did know about Vrook's death and initiated a duel. After killing them all, there was a long talk with Kreia that I have failed her "completely and utterly" , then she stabbed herself with a lightsaber. Surprisingly, perhaps because the dialogue choices I made while talking with her, I didn't get any of dark or light side points. Also didn't get Force Enlightment or Force Crush for that matter, only an entry in the log. This is where the problem appeared. I got out of the room with dead Masters and again ended up with Kreia standing out there and also 3 handmaidens not far from there (of course that particular cutscene with them coming fired after Kreia left me). So I talked with Kreia and AGAIN the whole long talk with Kreia began. She left me, I got up only to AGAIN end up with her. OK, I though, leave here be (it's a glitch - more on it later). I went back to the ship and flew to Telos, with a small exception that we landed in Citadel Station and NOT in Secret Academy! This made me really angry. And I tell ya, this hasn't happened with Restoration Mod alone, only after adding m3-47 mod this mess surfaced up. Ok, I though, I have only those two mods in Override. I'll move Override somewhere else and load that save when I am about to fly to Telos. It didn't work. Same thing. Ok, what about a save before entering the Academy on Dantooine? Things got fucked up even worse. Now the cutscene with Masters didn't fire up at all, even at vanilla game (the save game got modified, it was too late). So it was clear to me m3-47 mod wasn't tested ENOUGH as it fucks up Dantooine encounter with Masters. So what did I do? I warped straight into Polar Plateau, entered the Hidden Academy and from there things seem to go as per normal. I'm now in HK's hidden factory (one the most boring parts of restored content, btw. you know why developers sometimes CUT things from the final game? It's because it's not enough on quality to be released with a full product (it's just simply too boring to force players to go through to it, so why we don't cut it if it's a trash? -- it's a reasonable thinking. Some things got "CUT", not only because of time constraints, you know? It's called QC.)) Some other deliberations about kiling masters and staying on the light side of the Force: Yes, it seems killing them isn't considered as a "bad thing". They wasn't a real Jedi Order. They would want to strip Exile from the Force anyway and end up dead anyway, because of Kreia. Either Kreia or Exile killing Masters does not influence Exile's "faith". I decided to spare Atris (no more killings I though), and Exile had an option to say that she will face chages before The Council (the real one I guess, which probably is on Coruscant still). So again, the quest of killing/saving Jedi Masters isn't about light/dark side, it's about your personal vendetta. When leaving Atris she said "save the galaxy, save yourself". And my Exile is still "high" on the Light Side meter. I tend to like this outcome. It's like a gray jedi this exile is, walking two paths and understanding both sides profoundly, much like Revan. Not like some mindless dark fools who kill everything not even sparing themselves, or pompous priests of the light who only preach and do nothing, who forget emotions, thinking they're better than average human being, for which the emotions are the core of humanity (strip the Force of them and they're nothing, 'cos they rely on it so much, then when without it thay can't even lift a fork wih a hand, I mean no any real life experience). That's why I believe Exile or Revan (hell, even Bindo and Katarn to some degree) embodies the true understanding of the Force. They're the beings of the Force. How can you understand that thing called a Force when only following ONE path? It's like trying to calculate something without the ability to write or live but unable to breathe. Thanks for your attention. Oh, and fix M3-47 mod. PS. Cut the HK factory... just kidding. Leave it be. It's just it isn't that glamorous.

Not a good tip that one from lucasfiles. Not only it makes videos look worse, but the playing video speed increase is minimal. Besides its very time consuming. I had come with that problem before. I might have a better solution. Let's assume you have a K-LITE Codec Pack installed. Anyway its Windows codecs related problem. When you install said pack, system utilizes pack's filters and codecs, and while for many "exotic" video formats it seems a good idea, it also strips games for using their native bink codec (binkw32.dll). My advice would be to "turn off" .bik extension as a recognizable extension in Media Player Classic's->Settings->Formats AND in ffdshow video decoder configuration->Codes find BINK and set Decoder as Disabled. Same goes to LAV Video Decoder->Formats look for bink and de-select it. You can find all those programs under Codec Tweak Tool. After that reboot computer. Check the game. It helped for me. If by any means it didn't for you, well then, just de-install whole Codec Pack and reboot computer again. One of these methods is bound to help you

Seems it differentiate enough for me though.

Oh...

Maybe I'm slow, but just yesterday I noticed that when you switch to first person view while controlling Kreia or Visas (which we know both do not use eyes in normal sense) it produces this kind of effect: Visas' view: Kreia's view: As you can see this vision can differentiate who is force user and who is not and who's light (blue - Disciple) or dark sider (red - Miraluka) or neutral (white - Exile at that time). It's interesting. I might try it on some bosses, although the outcome is predictable. Is it comes with a mod or with vanilla game? After all this years...

Thanks. That partially resolves my issue. So to say, suppose I'm light-side AND remote is dead, what then? And why remote check? Remote seems always to die after a few encounters with G0-T0 (if that's what you're refering to - a scene on Ebon Hawk)? Ah, I remember. Because on Malachor V the remote is defended by HK-47. Still, I'm confused. Of course I use restoration mod - its awesome. Should be labeled as a mandatory patch.
