Good to know. I'll put 3.0 back up for GOG users. Thanks for the heads up @ebmar: yes, almost everything the player sees when they aren't in a menu is mipc28x6. Since the Aspyr release fixes the gui stretching in the steam version, there wasn't anything to do there in v4 besides fix that one hover description element. Overriding the 3.0 version will basically just give the player the vanilla GUI.

I can't speak for the GOG version but the Steam version has a pretty clean UI that makes most of the work in my previous versions obsolete. Barkbubble and pause look fine in the vanilla game and are therefore untouched in v4. v4 mostly exists to clean up the one description hover that was missed in the Steam version and to address the other menus that the Aspyr either missed or didn't think worth their time. All that aside; it shouldn't hurt anything to leave them in if you like them

The mod *is* working properly. It's not working with your version of the game because your version of the game a) didn't exist when the mod was created and b )allegedly doesn't require a UI tweak to achieve widescreen. I do not have the new version of the game (I may decide that I need to have a third version of it at some point in the future, but for now, two is good), so I've been unable to confirm this for myself, however I did ask around after Aspyre released their version and the people I spoke with said that the native WS support included a properly scaled UI. Maybe those people lied to me, but I'm not sure why they would. If you don't like what they did, I sympathize, but I'm not sure I'll be able to help. I appreciate the compliment and am glad that you liked how the mod looked in the previous editions of TSL. However, I have no way of knowing how Aspyre implemented their WS UI. Best case scenario is that they did it exactly how Obsidian did. That means I would have to 1) buy the game, 2) stop playing what I'm playing now, 3) devote dozens of hours to mock-ups, trial-and-error testing, etc in order to get it working. Oh and find someone with a 16:9 monitor willing to stop what they are doing, help me test, send me screenshots so that I can see what they see, etc. Worst case scenario is that they did it some completely different way and I would have to spend lots of time figuring out what that was, before doing all the other things I mentioned above. Shorter version: thanks but no thanks. I was happy to make that slog once before, but not entirely convinced I want to go through all that ever again. Lastly, PM = Private Message. Sorry that I didn't have the answer you were hoping for. Good luck with TSL. If you're playing it for the first time, it's a fantastic game.

There is nothing to "fix". You installed a mod that is designed to provide a WS experience for people who have a version of the game that does not offer native WS support (i.e. anyone who bought this game in the 10+ years before Aspyre pushed the update). Your game already has WS. Trying to apply a non-native WS UI to a game that already has a WS UI is what caused your game to "look really weird". Also, you did not PM the author (me). You reported the mod broken (it isn't) and posted something to the comments (presumably not stopping to read the one where I said that this mod was obsolete for people with newer versions of the game). Not the same thing.

KOTOR II Re-Release on STEAM!
Achilles replied to zbyl2's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
Quick question about the screens: does the new version come with widescreen UI fixed or are you using a mod *ahem* -
I've heard a few people say that the .ini hack won't work for them and I don't think anyone ever figured out why. One important thing to do is make sure the change is made both under Display Options and Graphics Options (note that the order is reversed, too). Graphics Options seems to be the deal breaker, but the rumor is that it really needs to be both. I hope that helps.

v3 is out. I'm still working on the documentation but didn't see the point in sitting on this for another week just so that I could finish the modder resources. All work/testing was done in 1920x1080 so there shouldn't be any surprises, but please let me know if I missed anything. Please note that the content of the folder marked "Alien" is Alien's original with all bugfixes up to v2.02. The download now contains 3 versions of the UI: 16x10, 16x9 v2.02, and 16x9 v3. Please be sure to only install one of these.

File Name: Simple Workbenches for TSL File Submitter: Achilles File Submitted: 09 Oct 2013 File Category: Mods TSLRCM Compatible: Yes This is a simple mod that removes (arguably superfluous) entries from both the work bench and lab bench. Both dialogs were written from scratch, with care taken to ensure compatibility with TSLRCM and tested to confirm that they work. ___________________________ To install: Open your Override folder Create backup of 000_medstation.dlg and workbnch.dlg (assuming that you have TSLRCM installed) Extract the contents of this download to your Override Enjoy To unistall: Remove modded 000_medstation.dlg and workbnch.dlg Restore TSLRCM version (assuming that you have TSLRCM installed) Click here to download this file

Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere, but it sucks that Visas heals between rounds of combat but my PC does not. By the time we get to CQC vs Lightsaber, I'm almost dead and she's at full health.

2.0 is up. I didn't get as much time to play this weekend as I'd hoped but I finally managed to test everything in the 16x10 folder and confirmed that it's bug free for 1680x1050. I had also hoped to finish up the documentation, but alas, that's going to have to wait. v3 (if it happens) will be a mostly re-written version of 16x9 that fixes a lot of the math in Alien's release. If v3 doesn't happen, an update will be published at some point that will include modder's resource information so that no one ever has to learn this stuff from scratch ever again.

File Name: Achilles TSL Robe Mod (TSLRCM Edition) File Submitter: Achilles File Submitted: 22 Sep 2013 File Category: Skins While I'm loving TSLRCM, I have to admit (with pangs of sadness) that all the restored robes makes it kinda-sorta impossible for me to make this a total conversion, like previous versions. So the compromise is this; a fully tested TSLRCM version of my robe mod that only replaces the model/textures/icons for the movie style robe. Which means that this only replaces about a third of robes that you can get in the restored version of the game. However, since I'd really rather not guess at which textures people liked and try to include those, I'm adding all the textures from version 3.0 as an optional download (labelled: FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY). You're absolutely free to use these however you'd like FOR MODS THAT ARE NEVER RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC. These robes are a collaboration by a handful of modders, therefore you'd not only need my permission but their's and I'm not even sure who's around or isn't. So feel free to do whatever, so long as "whatever" never leaves your Override folder. Also, I zipped these up out of a bastardized version of my own personal version of the mod, therefore some reverse engineering may be necessary to make heads or tails of what's included. If you have GIMP, Photoshop, etc it shouldn't take you too long to figure out what's what. ______________________________________________________________________________ To install: Extract Achilles Robe Mod for TSLRCM to your override folder. This is texture replacement, so a new game is not required. To uninstall: Remove said folder from Override ______________________________________________________________________________ Thanks again to Darth Moeller and svösh for their contributions and to Fred Tetra and TK102 for the tools that made this possible. Original thread that discusses v3 (pre-TSLRCM) of this mod can be found here: http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=191374 Additional screenshots can be found in the first post. EDIT: Apparently this site doesn't allow multiple uploads (even thought the tool lets you), therefore anyone who has downloaded this previously only got the optional files. I've combined the two and extend my apologies for the 6mb download for those of you that only wanted the base mod. Click here to download this file
