View File JC's Vision Enhancement for K1 Summary Throughout the game, there are cutscenes of the player sleeping and having Force visions to further the plot. This mod fixes two things about those scenes that bothered me. First, the first of these scenes is supposed to happen in the party's apartment on Taris, but is quite clearly set on the Ebon Hawk like all the other scenes. I've edited the area used for the visions to put in a copy of the apartment to make the location consistent. Second, the scenes show the player wearing whatever item they happened to have equipped when the scene started. So the player would routinely sleep in their clothing, even armor. I've edited the cutscene scripts to remove the player's equipment for the duration of the vision. Installation Extract files from the downloaded archive. Run Vision_Enhancement_K1.exe. Select which version to install: If you use the KOTOR 1 Restoration, choose the K1R-Compatible Installation. Otherwise, choose the Basic Installation. Click "Install Mod" and select your game directory (default name SWKOTOR). Uninstallation Remove the installed file. What's new? * Changes to the ending * New intro (less spliced party members lines) * Reduced amount of walking * Fast travel in droid quest - no more running trough the planet multiple times * You can now do Environmental Zone first and gain Kaak's help, allowing you to skip a large part of the Industrial Zone * Better filters on VOs so your ears won't bleed (at least not as much) * Industrial Zone FPS drop fixed * Other stuff Available for download on deadlystream: Steam version probably coming soon.

It just baffles me that Disney gave the license to EA of all companies... I mean I already knew Disney doesn't really know how to handle video games (I mean for god sake there are NO GOOD games based on the MCU, besides the Lego games and even those are 'decent'). But if I were to give the license of my AAA franchise to anyone, I really wouldn't give it to the 'worst company' in the video game industry. I'd much rather have seen that Bethesda got the license, as all of the crappy things like microtransactions, shady practices and mismanagement of franchises seem to barely happen there. ON TOPIC: While studio shutdown is always a possibility. I think we can all agree Microsoft buying Obsidian is MUCH MUCH better than EA or Activision scooping them up. One thing that always seemed to cause some studios under Microsoft to be shut down was that they just weren't delivering. Some staff put the closure down to "a string of bad decisions and mismanagement" (With Lionhead). And while Chris Avellone showed us Obsidian management may be pricks, I think we can all agree they can pump out titles in record time if they have to (KOTOR 2 and New Vegas). And I think if you want the RPG crowd flocking to consoles, Obsidian is the way to go (Bioware isn't really in a good place right now after ME:Andromeda and Beth with F76 isn't getting a good response either.)

    Lol. Possibly mildly hyperbolic.

Trying out swapping out the terrible crowd sprites in the Taris arena with some from TOR. Also did some remodelling of the "stands" as well, resizing them and adding some glass barriers.

Yeah the normal map on the face looks pretty crap. I removed it and I think it looks a lot nicer without it:
