TSLRCM - Visas/Handmaiden goodbye at Malachor ?

Recommended Posts

I'm currently enjoying KOTOR 2 with the TSLRCM but there's a small concern I have over the ending. According to the creators' list, the following scene from a male exile playthrough has been restored and should appear on Malachor V - presumably after Darth Traya's death:

"[R] Handmaiden/Visas want to go - Handmaiden or Visas ask if she can go with the Exile wherever he is going. However, the PC tells them that they cannot."

However, ever walkthrough featuring the mod and a male exile posted on YouTube shows either the exile leaving Malachor with Atton or Atton dying before the planet blows up. I assume this ending becomes the default if you get too much influence with Visas over Handmaiden and the two apparently fight to the death in the end.

I'm more than halfway in the game with Visas's influence at 100 and Handmaiden's at 98. I should add that, in order to avoid the above situation, I initially made sure Visas would be decreased to 98 (by telling her off for wanting to kill everyone in the Onderon cantina) before I trained Handmaiden as a Jedi to 100, then notched Visas back up to 100 with an act of kindness and Handmaiden down to 98 by pretending to help Azkul.

With that in mind, I have three questions:

1) Is the Handmaiden/Visas goodbye scene likely to happen in the above conditions?

2) If yes, who is the most likely one of the two to appear?

Thanks in advance!

Is a dark side alignment compulsory for the MSG not to be activated? I don't remember if there are any dialogue options when talking to Darth Traya at the end in which you say you won't.

I believe it depends on the alignment, not the (logical) decision regarding the Mass Shadow Generator. I did the MSG in my last Dark Side playthrough and I still got the "Malachor survives" ending.

Nope, it's determined by what happens in the HK Factory sequence. If HK-47 downloads the behavioral procedures of the HK-50s, he will be loyal to G0-T0, destroy the remote, and the MSG can't be activated, even playing light side.

Though, alignment would also play a part, as DS exile wouldn't destroy Malachor.

Dark Side players always get the "malachor stay" ending (though they don't necessarily leave it, which is required for the Visas/handmaiden scene), and for light side players it depends on what you do in the HK Factory.

IIRC anyway, it's been forever since I've seen any of this :P

I have realized that you have to also Free Your Party Members from the Prison Cells in order to make this cutscene happen.(and Talking about Raven's whereabouts With Kreia )

I think it's no longer possible to download the HK-50 behavioral procedures and keep them; at least in 1.8.5 you have to remove them in order to destroy the factory. As far as I can tell, doesn't this erase the possibility of G0-T0 being able to use HK-47 to destroy the remote?

I've played two lightside runs with HK-47 enlisting the HK-51s and with HK-47 destroying both the 50s and 51s, each leading to the same result: G0-T0 being unable to destroy the remote thus leading to G0-T0's demise at the hands of HK-47. (the HK-50s at Malachor could not attack HK-47 due to their programming)

Long story short, I'm just confused how it's possible to get the visas/handmaiden ending currently without going darkside

Honestly I thought the reason that this Handmaiden/Visas scene no longer plays out is because of the Malachor prison sequence where the exile tells Mandalore to lead Mira, Handmaiden/Disciple and Visas to safety after freeing them. Atton is out wondering around the academy after he duels Sion, and then shows up at the core after the Exile kills Traya, so that part always made sense to me.

Then again, this was my experience from doing my playing the 1.8.4 version during my first TSLRCM playthrough. That was on a Light side male. Currently working on an 1.8.5 playthrough.

Well. I'm a bit fed up with some of the dialogue options during gameplay and Kreia's little fortune telling thing. If you tell Visas when she wants to use a romantic force sight on you and say you want to wait so you can have something to look forward too, a dialogue option shows with Kreia that you can actually go and be together with Visas. Wouldn't be cool if you had similar options for either Briana/Handmaiden and Mira?

I would like to put in a request that further romance options be put in. It's a bit boring to only have to settle for Visas. Put in further dialogue options for Handmaiden/Brianna and Mira. Certain dialogue options and extreme influence will destroy chances of a romantic relationship and be either professional or strictly platonic. Other dialogue options will open up romantic relationships. (Can only have 1 romantic relationship).

Mira is not available as a romance option. Even if you hit on her, she'll tell you point-blank that she doesn't want to be with the Exile for a slew of reasons. Here's a video of that conversation.
