CrashBandiTeam Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Guys, can I model something with Gmax? I mean , 3Dsmax is too complicated for me. I once have modeled for a few hours on Gmax. So... am I able to do that with Gmax or not? Quote
DarthParametric Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 GMax is 3DS Max. It's juts a stripped down version of 3DS Max 4. All the basic functionality is essentially identical. Quote
CrashBandiTeam Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 So i can model with it right? Quote
DarthParametric Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Yes. You'll need the GMax-specific version of NWMax to handle KOTOR importing/exporting. Quote
CrashBandiTeam Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 Can you give me this per PM, if you have it? Quote

CrashBandiTeam Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 Thank you! Well, i need a Module Modelling tutorial, due the Canderis' one is for 3DSMax Quote
Canderis Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Well, i need a Module Modelling tutorial, due the Canderis' one is for 3DSMax I never made one. But 3dsMax and GMax are the same when it comes to dealing with anything kotor-related. Most of the modeling features in GMax are the same as 3ds max as well. Quote
CrashBandiTeam Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 Nope, i have for example Not: Ring, Flip (I have Flip Normal) and the options you can arrange with Ring... Maybe i have a outdated version of this program, i don't know... I never made one.But 3dsMax and GMax are the same when it comes to dealing with anything kotor-related. Most of the modeling features in GMax are the same as 3ds max as well. Well, i didn't meant you, i just thought you was the one, who sent me the Module Tutorial, but it was DarthTyren, sorry! Didn't wanted cause any troubles! Quote
Kexikus Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 I suggest you just learn 3dsMax. When it comes to KotOR modelling there's almost no difference and in any other regard it's waaay better and not outdated. 3d modelling will always be difficult no matter which tool you use, but Sithspecter posted a very good tutorial series on 3dsMax in the Tutorials section that should allow you to get into it. 1 Quote
