Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted April 10, 2014 Fastest way is to remove the "Replace4=lalah.utc" from the 207TELchanges.ini found in the 207TEL installation folder. Of course you'll have to restore the module from the backup folder first, then run the installer for that module again, with that entry omitted. MrPhil 58 Posted April 10, 2014 Thank you! That will come in handy later on.
MrPhil 58 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) I've just arrived in the Korriban Academy. I made a left when arriving in the Lobby and I had to fight Sith Assassins in some kind of dormitory. Upon being revealed out of their cloak, they were headless. I suppose your mod might have something to do with that? On a sidenote, I have installed Animus's Mira Revision 1.1 mod. http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Mira_Revision;99510 It does modify appearance.2da. Could that be the culprit? I'll try to place the backed-up appearance.2da and see if the bug is still there. Edited April 19, 2014 by MrPhil
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted April 19, 2014 Must be a faulty installer for that mod, since mine doesn't touch the appearances of those Assassins. All I've done for the academy was to differentiate their genders through utc files, but nothing else.
MrPhil 58 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) Indeed, putting the backed-up appearence.2da fixed-it. I'm just putting a note here though: except for the first 2 Sith assassins, I've only had to deal with female Assassins. Is that normal? Maybe you could write this mod as an incompatible one with yours. Edited April 19, 2014 by MrPhil
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted April 20, 2014 Yeah, it's intentional. Blame Obsidian using the same utc for 90% of the mooks in a location. Bloody clones.
MrPhil 58 Posted April 21, 2014 Okay, this time, I feel like it is this mod, not anything else. Unless anyone can confirm having this in TSL RCM 1.8.3, but I doubt-it. As I mentionned earlier, I reverted to the backedup appearance.2da, which means your mod is essentially the only one I got touching appearance.2da. So I'm back on Nar Shadaa, in Serroco territory. Onlly, in the middle of the merc gang, the Leader isn't there. Worse, when I get close to where he should be, I invariably get a crash to desktop. Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted April 21, 2014 Did you do a fresh install of 1.8.3 or didn't remove the previous version? And did you install my mod -after- installing 1.8.3?
MrPhil 58 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) I uninstalled everything, then deleted any leftover stuff. Then I installed the game, the hq movie and music patch, the 1.0b patch, then TSL RCM 1.8.3, then M4-78EP, added the missing files as per the new patch Hassat released, then proceeded to install all the mods I've detailed a bit earlier following the way Hassat said to make them compatible. Then, I installed your mods. After that, I installed the Mira Revision 1.1 mod, which modified the appearance.2da. As I said earlier, however, I went back to the backed-up appearance.2da and all was fine till this. Edited April 21, 2014 by MrPhil
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted April 21, 2014 Not sure what's going on then. Check if there are any conflicting utc files or somesuch in the Override.
MrPhil 58 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) None of the mod I installed seems to add any utc's. Except this one. What happens if you mistakenly re-install the same part of NPC overhaul twice? I may or may not have done that, mistakenly. This is a list of the utc's in my override folder: Would you be willing to tell me how I can uninstall that part of your mod? I think It is 302NAR. Maybe that will solve-it... Edit: I removed the 302NAR.mod file and replaced-it with the backedup one from before I installed your mod. I went to before first entering in the refugee sector and went inside the Serroco territory. The guys in there were looking like in TSL RCM 1.8.3 and the Leader was there. I was able to speak to him and the game should be able to proceed. This tells me something does not add-up with the module file from your mod. Can't tell why or what myself, but obviously, there is an issue with your mod. Hope we can find what, because it looks much better your way... Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted April 21, 2014 I'll run with this and do some checking.
MrPhil 58 Posted May 4, 2014 Could this help you fix-it? http://www.4shared.com/zip/nF79Rywdba/302NARmod_from_ovehaul.html
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted May 5, 2014 No need, I keep my mod on the harddrive and update it as I find any snags. That said, I'm waiting for the upcoming RCM patch to see if I'll need to smooth anything out.
diegodb 28 Posted May 5, 2014 One question Kainzorus, This mod is compatible with M4-78? Thanks for your answer.
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted May 5, 2014 If you skip the Korriban Academy module while installing the Overhaul, yes. I might make an actual compatibility patch for it in the future.
MrPhil 58 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) I did install the Korriban Academy module and had no problem. What bug do you forsee? (I'm running a TSL that has M4-78 installed). Edited May 5, 2014 by MrPhil
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted May 5, 2014 With Vash's corpse, most likely.
MrPhil 58 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Well, no trouble on Korriban. I'm going to test M4-78EP's ending once again too and report if I get a bug this time, but everything seemed fine last time. Edit: just tested M4-78 ending. No trouble with Vash's body there, as far as I know. Edited May 6, 2014 by MrPhil
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted May 7, 2014 I've just re-checked my installer. TSLRCM doesn't create a .mod file for the Sith Academy, and my mod copies things directly into the .rim file. So essentially, it won't conflict with M4-78 since it uses it's own .mod file for the Academy, and by extension overwrites my changes in the .rim. Hassat Hunter 571 Posted May 7, 2014 M4-78EP does NOT use a .mod file for 702KOR either...
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted May 7, 2014 Then he installed it on top of my mod and got it working, either way.
MrPhil 58 Posted May 8, 2014 Nope, installed NPC overhaul over/on top of M4-78EP. But yeah, it worked.
Kainzorus Prime 205 Posted May 8, 2014 Odd. M4-78 must not change the datapad .uti then, but only its contents. Either way, it works, good to know.
caturday 0 Posted July 13, 2014 Hello there, I already sent you a PM, but I'll post it here again so it doesn't get lost. http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-sith-lords-restored-content-mod-tslrcm/addons/npc-overhaul-mod http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/345-tsl-npc-overhaul-mod/ Great work. One problem which may or may not be associated with your mod (it's either this or TSLRCM so will post under both). One of the mercs in the Exchange corp on Telos isn't spawning properly (his name is Nahata). He spawns invisible and causes my game to crash when he is interacted with.... I've tried reinstalling both mods to no avail. I'm dreading reinstalling the entire damn game for a 3rd time. I'm using the steam version and it's all up to date (mods included). Reverting the 208TEL.mod file to the backup created by TSLPatcher fixed it for me, so I believe NPC Overhaul is the culprit. ____________________________________________________________________________ It seems like I encountered a bug. Headless dark jedis (DXN/OND) http://i.imgur.com/AxdZ8fX.jpg Ditto. Missing heads on female dark jedi on Dxun May I humbly ask you to fix this?
