Hassat Hunter Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 It would indeed no longer skip. If the VO_ResRef is empty, the game waits a certain amount of time (depending on the text length maybe?) before going to the next line.Nope, it just skips forwards since VO line duration = 0 (since no VO). You need a manual delay for EVERY line. Quote

The mod I'm currenty working on has many lines without VO and none of these skip forwards even though I haven't set a delay. Quote
Hassat Hunter Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 K1 or K2? Computer or human? Do they have an alien dialogue attached, but that dialogue is "silence"? Quote
Kexikus Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 K1 human dialog. Here's what one of those lines looks like in the dlg editor: Quote
Madeus Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Hey guys, new to modding. Just wondering if there is a mod or a way you can even replace some NPC audio lines with your own voice recordings? Always wanted to be able to implement myself into the Star Wars universe somehow just for fun. Any help is appreciated Quote
Fair Strides Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 You can record your audio as either a .wav or a .mp3, add it to the main streamvoices folder, and name it exactly like the file you're wanting to replace. 1 Quote

Awesome! Though I'm in my Kotor I game files and I can't see the streamvoices folder. I've only got Steamsounds, Streammusic & Streamwaves. Not sure what to do from here lol Quote
Fair Strides Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Sorry, "streamwaves" folder is the one you want. Quote
Madeus Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Sorry, "streamwaves" folder is the one you want. Cool! So how do I go about finding the person I want to voice? Like for instance, I only want to be a minor character that only has 1 line (A random Jedi in the Dantooine Temple) Would I have to extract the audio clips in mp3 format and listen for the character I want to replace or is there another method? Thanks for helping btw Quote

Madeus Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Does the character have a name? Can you give us the quote you plan to revoice? I wanna revoice the Jedi in the Red robe, he's seen walking around literally right outside of when you exit the ebon hawk inside the Jedi Temple. One of his quotes are 'Good day to you, I'm afraid I cannot speak to you at the moment. I apologize' & 'I've heard that the Sith have destoyed Taris, this bodes ill for us..' lol Quote
Sith Holocron Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I wanna revoice the Jedi in the Red robe. He doesn't have 2 lines. He has 8. I've attached them to this post. Interestingly, Kristoffer Tabori voices this guy - you may know him better as the voice actor for HK-47. (As I collect Tabori sound files, I was glad to find that he voiced these lines.)
