Fair Strides

Request: Forum Link and Editing Rights

Recommended Posts

There are two things I'd really like to see get added to the mods section of the site.

The first is a link at the top or bottom of the mod's page that links to the mod's forum topic. Just seems like it'd be easier to get help, since most people go to the forum page anyways.

The second is the ability for a moderator, admin, or the mod author to edit the description/screenshots of a mod without having to reupload the mod as a new version. When you need to reupload the mod, it gets marked as a new mod and has to get approved all over again, even if nothing has actually changed about the mod itself...

I also agree with the second request, but the first one is already present.

Next to "File Information" is a button called "Support Topic" that brings you directly to the mods release thread.

Ah, that's pretty hidden, I guess. Doesn't really look like a clickable item... :)

In a similar vein, is it possible to modify the email alerts for the Status Updates to include a link to that status (like how you can click on the comments section of a status and be sent to that status' entire discussion)?

On the 2nd item I have been looking into but I need to make some permission changes to how we do mod uploads. On status update features I am unsure but I'll see if we can edit the email template.

Seriously, thanks Tyvokka! :D It's nice to have the link when I get emailed about a topic, so having it for status updates would be so much easier.

As to the 2nd item, yeah, I imagine that would involve the moderators, authors, and admins needing a new flag set or something for the file in question, so that part makes a lot of sense. Take your time with it and just be careful. :)
