N-DReW25 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) The M4-78 Unofficial Patch mod is a mod that players will install after M4-78EP 1.5 to fix all of the bugs found within M4-78EP 1.5, thus allowing you to play the mod from start to finish without getting soft locked due to bugs and/or broken content. As this mod will essentially make the M4-78EP mod viable to play again I am making this thread here in the M4-78 section as this mod is essentially a spiritual 1.6 update. However, as this thread will act as a WIP/Development Thread for a mod which is an addon for M4-78EP I welcome the Admins to move this thread to the WIP section should they deem it necessary to do so. When it comes to cut content, there are a few things we the players yearn for - Sleheyron, Bao-Dur's Sacrifice, Disciple's Holocrons. We yearn for these things because we currently cannot experience these things today as no one has made the mods to restore them yet. Two decades ago, the legendary Droid Planet of M4-78 was part of this list of cut content we once yearned for as it too wasn't made available to us back then. First came the mid 2000s knock-off restorations such as Darth Shan's Droid Planet mod in 2006, followed by Stoney's M4-78 in 2008, followed by the M4-78 Enhancement Project in 2012. When version 1.2 of M4-78EP was released in 2015, it can be seen by many of us today as being the "last" stable version of the mod. You could play it from start to finish, though it had two massive problems: horrible droid VO and agonizing lag in the Industrial Zone. Update 1.3 fixed the droid VO (though it was a Steam Workshop exclusive until 1.5 was released) and update 1.5 fixed the lag in the Industrial Zone (update 1.4 was skipped as the devs forgot which version the mod was on at the time). If you played M4-78EP 1.2 followed by M4-78EP 1.5 today you would appreciate the new VO and the fixed Industrial Zone lag but you'll quickly realize that efforts to fix the mod has made the even more choppier to play than it was before. * The new dialogue on the landing pad's intro cutscene, whilst not being spliced, can be strange at times (as a horribly spliced HK-47 line is still present). * Teleportation during the radiation side quest is ridiculed for being jarring. * Dividing the Industrial Zone into 3 modules is ridiculed as the area transitions are badly done. * The new Kaah Ohtok dialogue in the Environmental Archon chamber is of lesser writing quality than the old 1.2 dialogue. * Objects containing quest items were removed by accident thus breaking side quests. * Vash is now killed by Sith Assassins instead of Archon M4-78, whilst on paper this may seem like an improvement the scene is actually of lower quality when compared to the highly cinematic M4-78 kills Vash cutscene from version 1.2. When you install the M4-78EP Unofficial Patch mod on top of M4-78EP 1.5, all of the above problems and problems you've never noticed will be fixed. * More new dialogue has been added to the landing pad's intro cutscene to make it flow more naturally. No new splices have been used and the old splices have been removed. Not only this, but the dialogue added in 1.5 has been preserved and has been rearranged to feel more natural in-game. * The teleportation added during the radiation side quest has been removed, however, the Security Droid cutscene that was removed in version 1.5 has been restored. Plans for restoring the bonus side quest in a future update is also being considered. * The Industrial Zone is now divided into 2 modules instead of three, and in the laggy module in particular a lot of the droids which were removed to fix the lag have been restored though the lag is still not present. * The old Kaah Ohtok dialogue in the Environmental Archon chamber has been brought back, however, the new dialogue has been mixed in with the old dialogue so that nothing has been removed. * Objects containing quest items which were removed by accident have been restored thus fixing the previously broken side quests. * The old ending from version 1.2 has been restored, Vash will now be killed by Archon M4-78 once again. Overall, this mod currently fixes around 150 problems from the original mod. Now, you might be thinking to yourself - "If the mod is finished, why is there a WIP thread for it?" The reason is simple, even though the bulk of the mod is finished I do intend to add optional install components to further fix the M4-78EP mod to make the mod more enjoyable. Below in this spoiler box are some of the plans I have for hypothetical future content updates: Spoiler Master Vash on Dantooine: An optional install will allow Master Vash to leave the M4-78 Archon Chamber and join up with the other Masters on Dantooine. For this component, Master Vash shall be voiced by a by a new voice actor - no AI will be used for Vash. Tourath and Mara on Korriban: To expand Korriban's content, the Lonna Vash for TSLRCM mod will be readapted to make way for this new content. Instead of finding the location of M4-78 via Kaah's Datapad in the Academy, you'll instead find Tourath's body in the Academy (instead of Kaah's) and you'll need to find Master Mara inside the Tomb. Once you complete the tomb, Master Mara will give you the location of M4-78 before she is slain by Sion (instead of Vash). From there, you'll go to M4-78 like normal. Touratth and Mara on M4-78: Vash and Kaah both (or just Vash) dies on Korriban as per the vanilla game but the Datapad still gives you the location of M4-78 and the knowledge that Tourath and Mara have gone there. M4-78 would then become an optional planet, but it will still play the same except Kaah is replaced by Tourath and Vash is replaced by Mara. In this install, the scene where Archon M4-78 kills the Jedi Master, this time being Mara, won't sting as much for the player as the planet M4-78 was optional anyway. References to M4-78 beyond M4-78: This component will flesh out who the M4-78 Sith faction were and how they impacted the overall story. Whilst more may be added to this concept later, some ideas include revoicing the Dxun Sith Officer in the Hologram so that whether or not you've been to M4-78 actually matters. If you went, he will mention how they have lost contact with M4-78 and how they are no longer receiving Kolto, Droids, and Weapons from the Sith there. And if you have not yet gone, he will mention how they are being supplied by the Sith on M4-78. The Sith you encounter on Dxun and Onderon could also be strengthened if you have either not yet gone to M4-78 or if you've gone the Dark Side route and sent the surplus Kolto to the Sith on a different planet. Sith related items from the first game could be reintroduced via M4-78 as M4-78 exclusives, perhaps a merchant could sell infinite Sith Energy Shields or Sith Sniper rifles for example. More ways for your actions on M4-78 to have an impact on other worlds, one idea I had was to add a Selkath Diplomat NPC to Telos who, if you sent the Kolto to Telos, would reward you for having done so. Hanharr and T3-M4 both talk about M4-78: Since Hanharrr and T3 both use generic VO they could make references to M4-78 both on the planet and in their main dialogues. The improved, fixed, and restored dialogues from K2RC+ will be used when adding new content to main dialogues. AI generated dialogue for companions: This part will definitely be made an optional install as I know many players oppose AI generated VO for moral reasons, however, the inability for companions to actually talk about M4-78 is something that holds the M4-78 mod back massively. With this mod installed, companions like Atton and Bao-Dur will be able to acknowledge what is happening before them and can mention things like "M4-78", "Droid Planet", "IS-84", "Kaah", and other things that are simply impossible to do right now. Of course, some of those plans may not come to fruition and some might even be added to the main mod, but those are just an idea for some of the things I have planned. I would like to dedicate this last bit of this WIP thread to my fellow modder, @Thor110, for his extensive collaboration with the project. We worked extensively together before he went on hiatus, many of the bug fixes found within this mod were not only done by him but couldn't have been done without him. Things like the extensive model fixes and corrections and the work done to re-merge the Industrial Zone from 3 to 2 modules can be attributed solely to him and, without him kickstarting the project with these difficult fixes, this completed mod would never have seen the light of day. Thor110's early work can be found in the M478EP Level Fixes mod but, as he points out, that mod is broken. The M4-78 Unofficial Patch contains the core fixes from that mod, alongside a boat load of new fixes. The full changelog can be found here in this spoiler box: Spoiler M4-78 Changelog Optional Installs * Added HD M4-78 Droids which comes in two versions: 1) The AI Upscaled Droids which upscales the Gonk Droid and the two cut Peragus Mining Droids into 1K resolution. 2) The Dark Hope Style Droids which adds HD textures for IS-18 and the Cleaning Droids based on Dark Hope's texture mods. * Added an optional HD Kaah Ohtok head reskin based on the fix mentioned in the "General" category above. * Added an optional HD M4-78 planet reskin which upgrades the planet's textures into high resolution 2K resolution. * Added the textures from the Nintendo Switch version of Kotor II so that you can experience what M4-78 might've looked like on the Switch. * Added a compatibility patch for Ashton Scorpius' TSL Better Male Twi'lek Heads for Kaah Ohtok. It comes in three different versions: Vanilla Quality, High Quality, and a Dark Hope variant (Dark Hope being the modder behind a series of HD mods for Kotor I). * Added the alternative British accent takes for the Female Warning Voice, these audio files need to be copied into the tslpatchdata folder before the install (overwriting the old ones) so that these optional voice files can be installed alongside the main mod. General * Fixed the model of the M4-78 turret. * Fixed various broken module and placeable models throughout the mod. * Fixed Kaah Ohtok's head texture by fixing his eyes and lips. * Removed the low-res 2010 era loading screens and replaced them with normal quality loading screens. The loading screens that were already normal quality were not touched. * Dead Sith Trooper Corpse placeables across M4-78 would all face north. They have all been rotated to face random directions. * Renamed the Gonk Droids from "GNK-001" to "Gonk Droid". * IS-18's texture is now based on a Kotor I Protocol Droid instead of a Kotor II Protocol Droid, the result is now a much smoother and higher quality texture. * Very basic dialogue adjustments to match with the rest of the game. For example, "I am going" is replaced with "I'll be going now". * Kaah Ohtok now wields a Bronze Lightsaber. * The Gonk Droid and the two cut Peragus Mining Droids have been upscaled to 512x512 which is the standard Kotor NPC texture (A 1K resolution alternative is available in the optional AI Upscaled Droids pack mentioned down below). * Most of the module names visible from the map menu are called M4 78 instead of M4-78, an example of this is "M4 78 - Landing Arm". This has been corrected so that the correct name "M4-78" is now used, an example of this fix is "M4-78 - Landing Arm". In addition to this, the "Environment Control Zone" and the "Industry Control Zone" have been renamed to the "Environmental Zone" and the "Industrial Zone". * All of the map notes that are supposed to say "To {Area Name}" but don't have been corrected. Not only that, but all map notes and area transitions that had the wrong names, like "Industry Control Zone", have been renamed to use their correct names - for example "To Industrial Zone" and "Industrial Zone". * Where found, instances of the new 1.3 voice actors slightly deviating from their given scripts have been corrected so that the dialogue text in-game now reflects what the actors are actually saying. 703KOR- Sith Academy * Rewrote the Exile's response lines to seeing an empty cage. * Instead of finding Vash dead, you instead found her datapad Kaah left behind which contained a holo message of Vash and Kaah alongside the coordinates to M4-78. The VO from original scene didn't have any filters for Vash or Kaah but had bits of the dialogue chopped up to imply that the dialogue was damaged (in reality this was done due to a lack of Vash lines). The VO for this scene now has filtered VO to make it genuinely sound like damaged found footage. 801DRO- Landing Arm * The Ebon Hawk now uses the highest quality Ebon Hawk texture found in the game files for M4-78. * The opening dialogue of the intro cutscene is now unskippable. * Reworked the intro cutscene to use both new and unused dialogue lines from other parts of the game. * You can now optionally select your party after the intro cutscene. This was removed in version 1.5 because it made no sense to do so as you needed to do the solo mission with your droids but it also made no sense to remove the option entirely as new players wouldn't know that the solo mission was just ahead and would add the Party afterwards manually. The option to not select the party is still there for those who prefer one or the other. * The trigger for LS-44 has been moved closer to the door preventing the player from sneaking around it and being able to approach LS-44 without triggering the conversation. * LS-44's opening line is now unskippable, meaning he now has to physically approach the Player before the conversation can continue. * Restored the missing static door, previously it was missing and you could see the black behind it. * Asking LS-44 about how he knew about the Jedi is now locked behind an Intelligence level of above 16 rather than above 20. * The question "Tell me about the visitors again" was locked behind the Kolto Transportation side quest even though this question is irrelevant to that side quest. This question has been moved into LS-44's general dialogue once the Radiation Leak has been cleared. * Companions will now react to your chosen outcome in the Kolto Transportation side quest. Most of them now speak and have either Influence Gains or Losses as a result of your Light Side or Dark Side decision. * The interlude cutscene has had its spliced and/or awkward dialogue removed to make it feel more natural. * The epilogue cutscene added in version 1.5 was removed as it was incompatible with the version 1.2 ending that was restored. 802DRO- Central Zone * The door to the Landing Arm has been swapped from a Peragus Door to an Onderon Door, this specific Onderon Door should 'mesh' better with the vanilla M4-78 textures than the Peragus Door did. The model and texture for this door has been cloned so that Onderon reskin mods don't affect this door on M4-78. * Removed placeables that were not present in the normal Central Zone and added those which were missing. * Made CS-36's intro dialogue unskippable. * Moved the two Central Zone Droids and the one Environmental Zone Droid closer to the Force Field as a precursor to when a trigger will be added in a future update. * The trigger that activates the intro dialogue between the Central Zone's Maintenance Droid and CS-23 is too close to those NPCs, allowing you to go to the Central Zone, kill the rogue Battle Droid, approach CS-23 without triggering the trigger, complete the side quest, and then trigger the intro dialogue afterwards. The trigger has been moved further away to prevent this. * Disabled the ability for Bao-Dur to disable the Environmental Zone Force Field prematurely as the content for doing so is unfinished. * Changed the appearance of the dead Sith Lord beyond the Force Field to the Environmental Zone from a generic Sith Lord like the ones on Dxun to a lesser used Sith Assassin/Dark Jedi hybrid appearance. * Nerfed CS-45 so that it doesn't take five minutes to chip away at its health before killing him. * Online suggestions from the M4-78EP developers states the dead Sith Lord in the Central Zone should give you a Power Core despite only giving you a Lightsaber piece. This has been changed so that he has a lootable inventory with a Power Core in it. Upon looting the Power Core, you shall either be given a Lightsaber piece/a Lightsaber and the "Remains" shall disappear preventing you from opening the dead Sith Lord's remains like a container. * Replaced the Fight Witness content so that it is now a voiceless Utility Droid that uses beeps and boops to communicate a simpler message to the player. You can lose influence with T3 by disrespecting it early in the dialogue. You can no longer speak with it once you speak to it the first time. * L5-65 uses a custom VO with what I assume is T3-M4's dialogue that is slowed and has a filter to make it sound unique, however, despite having a variety of audio for different emotions and dialogue lengths every single dialogue line is set to use "Comment_Generic_Medium" regardless of the length of the dialogue. L5-65's dialogue has been fixed to make use of the other dialogue line variants. 803DRO- Environmental Zone * The Map Notes for the Recharge Stations use numbers to number them instead of words, this has been changed so that, for example, the "2nd Recharge Station" is now the "Second Recharge Station" so that it properly matches the dialogue with Kaah. The "Interior Defense Region" has also been renamed to "Inner Defense Region" to make it match with the "Outer Defense Region". * Kaah's opening cutscene as ES-05 has a few problems. If Visas or Disciple are in your party then they shall have a line before ES-05's hologram spawns, however, since this dialogue is triggered by you entering the trigger it is possible to see Visas or Disciple literally slide across the ground to catch up with the Player when they speak. A slight pause has been added when the dialogue starts so that your Party can catch up to the Player before speaking. * If you had Disciple in the Party but not Visas he will say his line but ES-05's hologram won't spawn, resulting in the Player speaking to nothing despite Kaah's voice being heard. This has been fixed. * More Party Members shall now speak at the beginning of this opening cutscene. * Kaah's intro has a weird section wherein he'll call you a Dark Jedi if you aren't Dark Side but will call you a Jedi but then backtrack on that comment if you are Dark Side and you can only ask "Why do you think I'm a Dark Jedi?" if you're Dark Side when he specifically doesn't explicitly call you one if you're Dark Side. This back tracking line has been cut and he'll call you a Dark Jedi every single time as this makes this with his following dialogue in the Environmental Zone. * It is possible to create an infinite loop if you keep clicking "Who are you?" and "I will go wherever I please" over and over again. This has been fixed. * The question "Why do you think I'm a Dark Jedi?" is no longer locked behind being Dark Sided and can be now asked by Light Sided and Neutral Players. * Lined the random Land Mines near the start of the module in the direct path of the Player so that they aren't useless. * Moved Vash' Shuttle so that it's no longer clipping into the wall. * Repositioned a few hostile Droids away from the center of the First Recharge Station to make way for the Shuttle. * The randomly reskinned Assault Droid Mark I & Mark IV Droids in the Environmental Zone with inconsistent names have been given new appearances and names. Astromech Droids, Probe Droids, M4-78 Mining Droid Mark Is, M4-78 Mining Droid Mark IIs, and Floating Mines will now appear as the new hostile enemies in the Environmental Zone. * The appearance of the Maintenance Droid has been changed from the cut Droid_Mouse_03 appearance to the Lite_Droid_Astro_03 appearance used on Peragus. This was because if you were to use the Destroy Droid power on Maintenance Droids using the Droid_Mouse_03 appearance the lightning would zap into the ground BELOW the droid instead of ON the droid. * Reworded several instances of "[Lie, Persuade]" in the Player's responses to Kaah to now say "[Persuade/Lie]" to be consistent with the rest of the game. * Moved a few debris placeables to avoid pathing issues with enemy NPCs and the Party. * Rotated several massive computers as they were misaligned. * Rotated some Mark I Assault Droids which were replaced as the Floating Mines. * Added a missing turret. * Rotated the turrets so that they aren't all facing North. * Nerfed the Environment Guardian Droid boss so that it doesn't take ten minutes to slowly chip away at its health before killing him. * The Environment Guardian Droid boss now uses the M4-78 Construction Boss appearance. * Repositioned the HK-50 encounter away from the center of the First Recharge Station to make way for the Shuttle. * The VO of the two Force Field Operators are incorrectly assigned. The first Force Field Operator is voiced by Caleb Woodward but has Trayusstudent's script as the subtitle and the second Field Operator is voiced by Trayusstudent but has Caleb Woodward's script as the subtitle. This has been fixed. * The Droid/'s with the dialogue "beepbop.dlg" now use the Utility Droid VO instead of T3-M4's VO. * One of ES-50's Assistants will now use the Protocol Droid VO instead of T3-M4's VO. * After the Off Limits Battle Droid who blocks off part of the Environmental Zone after the main battle says "That is precisely what off limits means" the player response "I'll be going." appears twice. * The dialogue for the HK-50 encounter in the Environmental Zone, that should play once, can be activated over and over again if you do not immediately kill all of the HK-50 droids and if you keep running back to cross the trigger to relaunch the dialogue. The trigger is now deleted in the dialogue so that this cannot happen. 804DRO- Industrial Zone * Removed the Squad Recovery Stim and the Health Package from the IS-62's Medical Shop. As these items were infinite you could sell the randomly generated loot for crazy profits and buy infinite Squad Recovery Stims. * You can no longer sell items to IS-62's Medical Shop. * When IS-63 speaks to you about shipping the Kolto to Sith controlled planets, if you ask "And you want my help?" and have Kreia in the party she will interject with "Oh, I grow weary of this". This interjection has been removed as the audio was supposed to be spliced but it wasn't, resulting in Kreia saying "I grow weary of this. Perhaps time will allow my words to take root if your common sense will not permit it" despite the subtitle not saying so. * Rearranged IS-63's dialogue so that you cannot select two different Dark Side dialogues together at the same time, there is now only one Dark Side option. * Restored the M4-78 Security Droid trio cutscene that was partially removed in version 1.5 (it was meant to be completely removed but they left the job unfinished). * Restored the Origin Droid. * The innocent Industrial Droid being threatened by the Rogue War Droid now uses Utility Droid VO. * The innocent Industrial Droid now has sound when you speak to him after defeating the Rogue War Droid. * Nerfed the Rogue War Droid so that it doesn't take five minutes to chip away at its health before killing him. * The Rogue War Droid no longer drops a Blaster Rifle. * Completely rewrote Chatty Droid lines so that they actually sound like two machines talking to one another and not two users messaging each other on Discord. The emotion values on their lines have also been changed so that each line has a unique emotion for what is being said. This will result in a greater variety of generic VO being used. * Moved two Cleaning Droids away from the CS-45 recording terminal so that these randomly moving droids don't just walk into the recording cutscene. * When CS-45 walks away from the Computer Terminal, the static camera is disabled making the camera follow CS-45 which can show the Cleaning Droids and/or Bao-Dur's Remote offscreen. As this is supposed to be a security recording we can't have the background Cleaning Droids visible as they move around randomly. The static camera has been reactivated for when he walks away. * Changed the Sith Officer in the CS-45 recording into a Sith Soldier to match the nearby Corpse placeable. * Swapped out Danule's Irish/Scottish accent VO for the Doomed Sith Soldier in CS-45's cutscene for Scandinavian VO voiced by ComissarBRO. This VO is filtered as the character in question is a helmeted Sith Soldier. Danule still voices the Doomed Sith Soldier choking. * The Construction Droid dubbed "Robo Zombie" in the mod files was mute. It's possible that the Devs intended to voice this character but didn't get around to it. It has been given the Protocol Droid VO. * Removed several fuel tank placeables as they clipped into the walls. * Due to a black screen bug when overloading the Cleaning Droids, the option to overload the Cleaning Droids has been disabled and you are now forced to give T3-M4 to IS-43 in order to search the Cleaning Droids for CS-43's missing droid part. * Renovated the Industrial Zone Maintenance Droid's Office. * Moved the Industrial Zone Maintenance Droid into the corner so that it was out of sight during the surveillance video segment wherein it was possible to see two of the same Maintenance Droids. * Fixed a broken camera when the Industrial Zone Maintenance Droid walks to the Recording Terminal. This camera has clipping issues if you are using a 1080p monitor, this presumably doesn't apply to lower resolution monitors though the fix should work on all monitors. * Changed the Sith Officer in the I1-01 destruction recording into a Sith Soldier to match the nearby Corpse placeable. * Improved the area transition between the Industrial Zone and the Droid Manufacturing module. * After you've rebuilt I1-01, the new I1-02 Droid who spawns just outside the Droid Manufacturing module's area transition no longer randomly walks around. The reason this was done is because he would walk INTO the transition area and would stay at a point where the player could not reach it as you'd warp into the Droid Manufacturing Module. 805- M4-78 Archon Chamber * Renamed the "Sith's Locker" to "Locker". * Replaced the "Hurrikaine Crystal" in the Sith's Locker with a "Barab Ore Ingot". * The two Lockers beside the former Sith's Locker is now lootable and contains some medium level loot as a form of 'reward' for completing the planet. * Master Vash no longer drops her Silver Lightsaber, this bug allowed you to obtain a Lightsaber before building your own Lightsaber. * The Battle Droids that execute Vash have been replaced with the Mark I Assault Droids that were removed from the Environmental Zone. * The Force Field Terminal is no longer clipping into the wall. * Vash has two intro lines, one for the Dark Side player and one for the normal Player, the normal intro line is incorrectly used for the Dark Side players whilst the Dark Side intro is used for the normal Player. This has been swapped so that the correct lines are used for the correct alignments. * Instead of being given a bunch of single player responses for Vash starting with "What brought you to M4-78" you'll now be given the second option to ask "How did you end up here?" to which she'll explain L5-65's involvement in bringing her to M4-78's Chamber. * The option to kill Vash now appears frequently if you are Dark Side but only once if you aren't. This has been changed so that Players any alignment can be given the chance to kill Vash at various points in the dialogue. * Vash will try to prevent you from fighting her, giving you an opportunity to let her live should you click on the option "I seek revenge for expelling me from the Order". However, if you are very Dark Sided she'll confront you immediately without giving you a chance to back down. This has been removed and the line will now appear if you say "I will redeem my honor by slaying you." * Vash's line "Of course you do. But are you certain this is what you want? It is not too late to redeem yourself and rediscover the Light Side" will now only appear if you are Dark Sided, Neutral and Light Sided Players will not be able to hear this line. * The line "[Wisdom] Then why did Kaah think you were dead when you weren't?" didn't have an actual Wisdom conditional, you'll now need a Wisdom of 13 to be able to hear this line. * If you try to agitate Vash into violence by asking about your trial on Coruscant, instead of Vash not saying anything and going straight to combat she'll now say "I do not wish to kill you, but I can see the Dark Side in you will not rest without a fight." * Removed the Heal Force Power from Master Vash as she's hard enough for a Dark Side Player to deal with. She has tones of health and, unlike the other M4-78 NPCs with this problem, it makes sense why Master Vash shouldn't be a push over in a fight but her having Heal can ensure that she reheals herself indefinitely if you aren't prepared. * Removed the version 1.5 ending and restored the old version 1.2 ending. * Rewrote the player responses to the Archon M4-78 dialogue. * If you spoke to HK-47 about Praven Prime, you could mention this to M4-78 if you had an Awareness of 34 or an Intelligence of 24. This has been changed so that you now only need an Awareness of 20 or an Intelligence of 16. 806DRO- Environmental Zone Archon Chamber * Kaah's dialogue has been completely rewritten by merging the pre 1.5 Kaah dialogue with the post 1.5 Kaah dialogue to make for a more engaging conversation with Kaah. 807DRO- Industrial Zone Archon Chamber * Some of IS-24's lines had a one second pause before IS-24 began speaking. Most of these have been removed so that IS-24 starts speaking immediately. * Some of IS-24 had the wrong audio assigned to the wrong lines. These have been corrected. * The Player can refer to Vash and Kaah as two humans in one of their lines despite Kaah being a Twi'lek. This has been rewritten to correctly refer to them as two Jedi. * When you finish talking to IS-24 you simply say "Goodbye" and that's it despite IS-24 having a line "Until next time" which isn't used. IS-24 will now say "Until next time" when you finish talking to him. 808DRO- Radiated Central Zone * The door to the Landing Arm has been swapped from a Peragus Door to an Onderon Door, this specific Onderon Door should 'mesh' better with the vanilla M4-78 textures than the Peragus Door did. * Made CS-36's intro dialogue unskippable. * Added the dead Sith Lord beyond the Force Field to the Environmental Zone. * Removed placeables that were not present in the normal Central Zone and added those which were missing. * You no longer teleport back to the Industrial Zone vent after transferring the code. 809DRO- Radiated Industrial Zone * Removed placeables that were not present in the normal Industrial Zone and added those which were missing. * Removed a few background NPCs so that they wouldn't interfere with cutscenes. * Restored the Origin Droid. * Removed several fuel tank placeables as they clipped into the walls. * Removed the teleportation sequences during the radiation side quest. * Rotated a massive computer in IS-02's office as it was misaligned. * Restored the M4-78 Security Droid trio cutscene that was partially removed in version 1.5 (it was meant to be completely removed but they left the job unfinished). * When entering the second part of the reactor's code, the "Return to main functions" option has been replaced with * Removed Darth Sion's cutscene on Korriban as this scene was restored in the Extended Enclave mod, albeit taking place on Malachor. 812DRO- Droid Manufacturing. * The Industrial Zone, the Testing area, and the Research & Development area were split into three modules to fix the infamous lag problem. The result of splitting these three areas up was very choppy in-game and so the Testing area and Research & Development area were reunited into one module. * The Research & Development module now has a new loading screen that is independent of the Industrial Zone's loading screen. * Improved the area transition between the Research & Development module and the Industrial Zone. * Renamed the "Loading Droid" to "Industrial Guardian Droid". * Restored the Broken Droid placeable which contained the Data Processing Core. This was removed in version 1.5 when the developers were removing NPCs and placeables to fix the lag not knowing that this specific placeable contained a quest related item. With this placeable restored, the quest "Fixing Droids" can now be completed. * Due to the splitting of the Industrial Zone, three boxes with randomly generated loot are now shown as empty before the loot is physically generated. These three boxes have been replaced with static boxes so that they can no longer be looted. To compensate for the lost loot, three more boxes have been added near IS-56 so that you can both still get the same amount of loot without seeing the loot being generated in real time. * Restored some of the disabled Droids to make the Testing area feel more lived in without bringing the lag back. * The Testing Holograms are no longer solid. * Renamed the "Tester's terminal" to the "Testing Terminal". * Instead of a Duros, Ithorian, Male Twi'lek, Female Twi'lek, Fat Male Commoner, Female Commoner, and a Rodian for the Testing Holograms they have been replaced with Republic Soldier, Mandalorian, Bounty Hunter (Calo Nord cameo), Jedi Knight, Selkath, Fauna (Iriaz cameo), and a Fat Female Commoner. * The Droid Holograms have been renamed from "Droid's hologram" to "Droid Hologram". * The Droid Holograms have been replaced with a War Droid, Assault Droid Mark I, and a Mining Droid Mark I. * The out-of-place Droid Designer standing next to IS-84 instead of working at a computer was not out-of-place at all, during a specific path in IS-84's dialogue this particular droid interjects in the dialogue. To fix this out-of-place droid, his typing animations have been removed, he now reorients when spoken to, and he now only says "If you want information, IS-84 is most up-to-date with all projects" instead of cycling through various computer related dialogue. * Renamed the "Industrial Droid" to "Suspicious Droid" to make it clear that this out-of-place droid with voiced VO in a sea of generic droids with generic droids is, in-fact, *not* generic and is involved in a side quest. * If you killed IS-56 then you would need to access his terminal to continue rebuilding I1-01, however, the terminal was one of the six computers in the area, meaning five were static and unusable whilst one was usable despite appearing identical to the other five thus making it very easy to miss. The old terminal has now been made static whilst a new fairly obvious computer table has been added in the middle of the walkway making it impossible for you to miss it. * Nerfed IS-56 so that it doesn't take five minutes to chip away at its health before killing him. * Nerfed IS-84 so that it doesn't take five minutes to chip away at its health before killing him. * IS-99 now uses Protocol Droid VO instead of T3-M4 VO. * The Battle Droid encounter that spawns when you kill IS-84 has been moved out of the area transition between 812DRO and 804DRO. * CS-13, the Protocol Droid who reports you to the authorities for killing IS-84, has been replaced with a Utility Droid and has been given generic VO. * The Battle Droids who accompany CS-13 have been renamed from "Battle droid" to "Security Droid" to match the Security Droid encounter in the Radiation Section of M4-78. * Since CS-13's dialogue has been removed, the Battle Droids now speak reusing lines from the Security Droid encounter in the Radiation Section of M4-78. * The Sith Military Droid Mark II who accompanies CS-13 fought the player but has broken animations. His appearance has been swapped to one of 90SK's Assault Droid Mark IV models to correct this and has been renamed from "Sith Military Droid Mark II" to "Heavy Security Droid". * You cannot kill IS-99 by attacking him directly as doing so soft locked the game preventing you from continuing with the mod. * Removed an Atton line "Well, that was a lot easier than I thought it would be" as it was moved to the Security Droid encounter in the Industrial Zone. * The Turrets outside the Industrial Archon Chamber have been replaced with the Mark IV Assault Droids that were removed from the Environmental Zone. And some screenshots: Spoiler Do I feel this mod will make M4-78EP the best mod ever made, one that will make you go from hating M4-78 to loving it? No, I do not. However, I hope that this mod will give M4-78 a fair chance for new players who may be experiencing the planet for the first time. People will inevitably hate the idea of playing 3 hours worth of fan made content with little reward to show at the end of it, however, instead of experiencing a bug filled mess future players will now be able to judge M4-78 for exactly what it offers and what it tries to accomplish.
