Hey, SH! Congratulations on your big day. You used to send me correspondences on my own Birthday, so I feel it only right to return the favor.
- PS: Some uncouth individuals would say you're now half a century old , but I have disavowed these silly notions. (Such humor is simply below me, as you know..) -
{Crap, someone already made that joke.. I didn't mean that they were the uncouth ones just allegedly I would say something like that were I so inclined.. No intention to offend - The Editor}

The trouble is, as a modder you should eventually be able to create the content without support. Eventually you have to stop relying on others to tell you how to do these things and force yourself to learn with the tools at your disposal. This may require you to take some classes to learn C or watch tens of hours of Youtube tutorials. When it boils down to it, the one who determines whether a project is successful is you and you alone. I have abandoned many projects of my own because of my own lack of knowledge, and sometimes if you don't find the resources, that's just a reality of making content.
I am aware I sound somewhat harsh, but to use hype to convince people to work on a project which you yourself are unwilling to learn is taking advantage of those very people, and this is something a majority of mod makers including myself do not stand for.

No shame intended. Just a clarification of the rules and even some potential solutions so you can avoid bloating the site.

I used the Instant Messenger a lot way back when, so I believe you.
However, Sith Holocron has a point about the sheer amount of topics you've created in the course of a few weeks which is basically why this particular thread exists.
We all want to create the biggest mod we can, but something of the scale you're currently undertaking would best be documented in private messages (To avoid forum bloat) or in one dedicated topic (To also avoid forum bloat)

And by crop, I mean do indeed mean deleting the unnecessary text.
And he is replying in my Blog.
Wait... 2015?! What kind of shenanigans are these??? I haven't seen one post by them before now.. Well how about that..
Yeah, these rules were created well after they've been around. My apologies, SH..

@Sith Holocron
Is there a way to crop replies? I've always just hit the Quote button multiple times, and deleted the extra text, but that is sort of an esoteric thing to give a new person grief about.
I get that you're trying to keep the forum clean, but going after one person for their multiple posts is only going to engender conflict and ultimately poison the well of Good Will we've cultivated on this site so far.
@Nevile
Honestly I was expecting your various threads to be deleted as they took up more and more space, but if merging them is an option, then I would highly recommend doing so if you can. I can't blame you for not knowing these rules (Unless they were stated explicitly in the Rules in which case, I apologize to the Admins for not knowing). However, now that you've been informed, it would be quite beneficial to yourself and the community if you do something about removing multiple threads on the same topic. Whether explicitly stated or not, those are the rules which we follow so that one person doesn't monopolize the forums.
Lastly, I can see that Sith Specter was at the very least agreeable with you using those assets and potentially doing alterations on them. However, that post alone doesn't prove whether there were any other further conditions or if Sith Specter feels the same way now as was felt in the time that screencap was taken, so it'd remove any doubts if you could just send Sith Specter a PM and then we can hear from them personally whether you were allowed.

7 hours ago, Neville said:SithSpecter modified the Republic Helmet model for me, showed me how to create models with NWMax/GMax, gave permission to use his work in other mods on LucasForums, and seemed fine with my use of his mod. He stated only that mods involving porting are unlikely to get support. I have not looked closely at YouTube tutorials, and have not made any comments on YouTube. I asked where I could find tutorials from LucasForums. I had a post on this site regarding creating a soldier to replace Bastila. There used to be an Instant Messenger feature on this site. A member laughed when I stated I was having difficulty with the Recruit Function. I am making attempts to make a Republic helmet of an older type and to modify the head model used for Sarna. Sarna uses the same head model as Selven. I posted backstory for Sarna and it is in dialogue I created.
We could seriously solve this whole thing if we asked Sithspecter right now. If indeed you got permission from them, it shouldn't be hard to verify if that is true.
In case you never got an answer (which I doubt), I found the old archive zip Qui Gon Glenn saved https://deadlystream.com/topic/6913-lucasforums-tutorial-archive/
And the entire tutorial directory backed up here http://lucasforumsarchive.com/forum/595
It's generally my personal experience to post a WIP thread one time and then fill it with your ideas as you have them, which will allow time for people to respond to them if they can without bloating the forum.
Additionally, you want any specific requests for help to be as concise as possible. A Step-By-Step solution is incredibly rare, as that requires other users to be there to respond to each and every question as you figure it out.
So, if you want legitimate help it's far more advantageous to do your own research so you're able to ask specific things like "Which tools do I use to manipulate GFF files?" or "Which 2DA files do I need to change for clothing changes".
This way, you're not spending other people's time more than you have to (Most modders also have full-time employment, and modding has to take a back seat)
And the last point I can't stress enough, just because you get no responses, it isn't something personal. People have lives and if you're serious about modding, you have to be willing to wait weeks or even a month on rare occasions to get a constructive reply; and if you do get a reply offering to help, treat it like the amazing thing that it is and respect that other person's time.
They are doing this for free and shouldn't be demanded of: no exceptions.

Apparently rapper Jay Z is in a legal battle over something very similar, though it seems Youtube didn't see it as copyright back in April https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/28/21240488/jay-z-deepfakes-roc-nation-youtube-removed-ai-copyright-impersonation
LDR is right, this issue is something to consider the legal ramifications of if only to find a possible way to prevent problems later on.

I always felt that Vash got the proverbial short end of the stick when it came to the story. If you have her die on M7-48, it's just as pointless as if she died offscreen to Darth Sion. To settle the matter of how to make it mesh with the council scene at the end, she could just decide to go into hiding like Atris and have no impact on the rest of the story. Alternatively, she seems to be the investigative type, so maybe she'd decide to "Find the source of the Sith" like Revan did at the end of Kotor 1.
Since Kaah was kind of a loose cannon, he could either leave with Vash to hopefully find his balance again or just flat-out leave the jedi to parts unknown. (Mirroring the decision that the Exile did before the game)
As far as the voice actress I'm not beholden to any particular "canon" Vash, but I do quite like Vanessa Marshall's performance in the Vanilla game. (For what little we hear)

There is indeed. Some force users believe in the Living Force and others in the Unifying Force. Technically the grey jedi teachings are roughly based on the latter.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Living_Force/Legends
The Living Force is more or less the belief that the Force operates through all living beings and thus its will is done when they act. "Living in the moment" as Qui Gon said.
It also made Qui Gon obsessive about making things come to pass no matter what the other jedi said.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Unifying_Force
The Unifying Force, in contrast refers to the force itself transcending time and thus placing less importance on individual decisions with more value attributed to the "big picture".
It can be used to justify genocide as was the case in the Knights of the Old Republic comics, but it also helps keep force users focused on more than just their own interests.

It's hard to see without comparing the capital letters (The scale on the site only uses one per font)
However, based on what I've observed, Prakika Extended looks to be the closest to the original menu font while actually being a bit easier to read due to how balanced the weight is.
-
Ouch, though. Is it also not kind of ironic that the sound of the new Star Wars movies isn't John Williams either?

Pretty sure 7 is the pistol from Blade Runner. The rest I have no idea
-
Cool. That's good to know.
If it does turn out to be an issue with my hardware (RAM, Motherboard, Hard-drive, etc..), then I think I'm just going to start fresh with a new computer across the board to alleviate any variables. Thank you for the assistance, BTW.

So far so good. I haven't run the tool to diagnose if there are any reasons why it was having such sudden problems earlier, as I'm concerned of losing the stability my computer has at the present, however.
My performance is significantly better, but I'm getting all of my pressing mods done as quickly as I can just in case. Is there any risk in running the tool, or am I being paranoid?
-
I finally got a chance to read the readme, and I'm a bit confused. Does the tool diagnose problems or is it just to be used for repair? My scans are coming up negative and I've had no crashes since the event in question. How should I proceed?
-
When I restarted my computer, I saw the diagnostic tool as an option and it returned no memory issues. I am unsure of how to proceed or why it crashed those many times, earlier. My performance has also oddly improved as well...
-
Which memory test are you referring to? The only one I can think of is the DirectX Diagnostic tool.

Hope you have a pleasant and safe time getting adjusted to the new locales. You have always been quite the pillar of this online community, and hope to see you back soon. If you need anything, feel free to ask.

Indeed. On the flip side, I heard that TFA actually used practical effects, and the creative teams for the originals were brought in to do things like the
stop-motion Dejarik pieces.
(trying out adding spoiler tags in a comment in case people haven't seen the movie) Ironically I personally haven't seen it, but I also heard the people working on it had a lot of fun making it. So, I still am deeply annoyed with what Disney did to the EU, but as far as a Star Wars movie, it almost seemed to rekindle the creative magic of the original films.

Dumb question, and I hope you don't mind my asking, but what about using PowerPoint?
It has a pretty decent level of visual quality and is incredibly easy to edit.

Great to see you back! I figured you had left modding to pursue school and then everyday life took over. Glad to see your return after so long.
