Force Fashion Updates and Mod Permissions
jonathan7 replied to jonathan7's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Thanks N-DReW25, I’ve forgotten so much stuff back from when I was modding. Was looking at doing this last year, realised I’d forgotten a lot and then my university work has been really full on. (Am Sorry to everyone, as it’s always been on my to do list). -
Force Fashion Updates and Mod Permissions
jonathan7 replied to jonathan7's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Apologies for resurrecting this, just been checking on compatibility with TSLRCM. Does anyone have a copy of the raw files? Or a suggestion of other ways of finding conflicts? The only major conflicts I can see are two .dlg files. (Atton and Disciple) from TSLpatcher date. In my head there were more conflicts. I do edit various .utc’s as well as several other charachters .dlg files. -
Does anyone have copies of my old mods? (Especially FF2)
jonathan7 replied to jonathan7's topic in Work In Progress
Thanks both. Sadly the WayBackMachine didn’t make a copy of the download mirror, so it fails when it goes there. Edit: This did prompt me to massively refined search terms by me and interestingly the files from KotOR Files still seem to be at File Planet; https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-67260/Star-Wars-Knights-of-the-Old-Republic-II-Force-Fashion-II-Mod/download This may mean by using the way back machine for KotOR Files you can find Mods you want that had previously been thought lost. -
Hey all, hope this finds you all well! Due to Microsoft being terrible and a known error with Windows update bricking my boot drive and at some point my backup drive having corrupted I’ve lost all my original files for various projects. Does anyone have any of my files? (Especially Force Fashion ii and a whole load of unreleased mod files? Which I did make available for the community, but think the sites I put them up on have since gone down).

Hey all, Long time no see - hope this finds you well - have had a hunt around but doesn't seem to be much about modding the mobile version of the game. Has anyone had an experience of modding/adding stuff, and are there any links people know of explaining the process? (I do have TSLRCM working on my iPad - thanks to the awesome team here for figuering that out) Peace, J7

Cool, thanks for your help guys, think I'll probably go with Kexikus method, as it seems the easier for me. Good to still see you around JC

Forgive a total noob question, Scripting never was my strong point. Is there a way to fire a script which adds a custom robe to Atton or Disciple when they become a Jedi? Currently this is implemented in their .dlg which is what is causing the incompatibility with TSL:RCM and Force Fashion

Force Fashion Updates and Mod Permissions
jonathan7 replied to jonathan7's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Thanks for the reply. Ah, ok. It seems it would be better to just uninstall the Steam Workshop version and install TSLRCM via it's .exe? I only got the Steam version of TSL as it automatically fixed Aspect ratio and cutscene playback issues. -
Force Fashion Updates and Mod Permissions
jonathan7 replied to jonathan7's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Query - I don't know if this is due to having the Steam version of KotOR 2 installed. But When I combined the Override folder in the game, with my one from Force Fashion II there weren't any file overlaps - which proves problematic for me in terms of working out exactly what files need to be amended. Does anyone have any ideas why that is? That Override folder looks awfully empty, or does the TSL:RCM install method work differently to TSLpatcher Override method? Any help would be appreciated. -
Force Fashion Updates and Mod Permissions
jonathan7 replied to jonathan7's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Hey, I'm open to suggestions on changes to the start of the game - what and how did you change the placing of the items at the start? IIRC there were 5 files which make FFII incompatible with TSL:RCM, have you had any luck merging them? Thanks for the welcome back from others! -
Hey all, Apologies that I've been MIA for years. I'm back and looking to make Force Fashion for K2 fully compatible with TSL:RCM and will also be looking to get Force Fashion for K1 finally released. I have had several permissions requests for my mods or to upload them. If you wish to use any of the assets I've made feel free to use them, but in projects with others, you would need their permission for their work. If you wish to make my mods available elsewhere feel free to, just leave credit in the readme, but again if other modders are involved with that particular mod you will need their permission as well. -- j7

FILENAME: Bodies_Stay_K1.zip FILE SIZE: Around 1MB Unzipped DATE RELEASED: 06/02/2009 DESCRIPTION: This mod stops bodies from fading away. They will only disappear if you leave the module or load a savegame after killing a bunch of enemies. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Just click on “Install Mod” and select a folder in which KOTOR I is installed (not the Override folder). COMMENTS: This mod most likely requires a good PC to keep the game running smoothly, but since corpses are static objects (means they don't require any processing power), all that you'll probably need is a graphic card that's less than 3 years old. File Name: Character Start Up Change File Submitter: jonathan7 File Submitted: 26 Oct 2013 File Category: Mods AUTHOR: jonathan7 EMAIL: Message me via lucas forums user name is jonathan7 NAME: Character Start Up Changes CREDITS: Fred Tetra for the wonderful KotOR tool, all at Lucas Forums for the various Tutrials and Stoffe for TSLpatcher. FILENAME: Character Start Up Changes FILE SIZE: 725kb unzipped DATE RELEASED: 12/12/2010 DESCRIPTION: This essentially changes the starting feats for the three classes and makes pretty much all the feats availible for the player to select for their individual PC. Personally it always bugged me that often my PC would end up with quite a few useless feats that she did not need. So what this does is delete all the preset feats for the classes and give you free selectable ones, the Soldiers have the most, then Scouts then Scoundrels; you have the same ammounts of feats as in the vanilla game but you are free to choose what you want. I think this does improve the RPG aspect of the game, be warned however to make sure you specialise in either melee weapons or some form of blaster, otherwise you won't be doing much in combat! The mod also changes Persuade into a class skill, so it's availible to all three classes, always struck me as silly that Bioware didn't do this, as the PC is the only charachter who can actually use Persuade, seemed unfair only one of the classes got it; but maybe thats just me. A couple of pre-set feats remain; for the Scout the Implant Feat 1, because the scount automatically gets them as the PC is leveled up. The scoundrel keeps Scoundrels luck for obvious reasons, not that its a selectable feat, but things like that and "uncanny dodge" I have left alone. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:"Extract from the zip and then run the installer, simple enough! COMMENTS: Enjoy! BUGS: Should be none, may well require a little work to make compatible with other mods which edit these .2da's - Shem's extra feat mod spring to mind, but to be honest if you have that, then I don't see why your installing this :-p PERMISSIONS: PM me at LF to discuss useage. Qui-Don Jorn returns with an update for his Playable Uthar Wynn modification for the The Sith Lords. The author has improved Uthar's portraits in this latest version, as you would expect of an author of Qui-Don Jorn's ability the modifcation is well executed and as stated would make a good PC for a darkside Exile. The modification comes with TSLpatcher for ease of installation, while it is also compatible with TSLRCM, which is always a bonus given the importance of that modification. -- j7
