Oh yes, I guess. It is the lack of time and the meaning or use of many variables that hinder and slow me down (and the French > English - English > French works). He he !... Is there a hidden sub-forum to hold non-public conversations?

Or, rather, one master, whatever the one. IE, in my favorite walkthrough, I start by Dantooine but I free Vrook at the end.

I don't know (but I'm pretty sure not as "new prototype droid shield" is well translated at numerous times in the same dialog) I think it's an interesting information to the community about the game's development and changes of intentions by Obsidian, or a lightening on development chooses due to the frantic pace of development imposed by LucasArts. And, also, a help to your team about some other things I have not met yet (or that don't exist in the English version) and that you noted in the remains.

Tienn Tubb - additional Search in connection with a speeder engine. I wonder if there was no quest additional or if the actual quest is the modification of an oldest quest : It had to exist a search in connection with a speeder engine and, probably, in connection with a do-it-yourself of a speeder in order to gain races. In 301NAR_dlg tt32.dlg, two French translations contain traces of what seems to have been an additional or different search (this do not exist in the actual English version): In E23, 85933 speaks about a speeder engine instead of dro?de shield: "And as promised, I shall be happy to commission the prototype droid shield, free of charge. If you will give me a moment, I shall attend to it." In the Frenh version, it is: "And as promised, I shall be happy to commission the speeder engine, free of charge. If you will give me a moment, I shall attend to it." In R62, French 86011 speaks explicitly about an engine: "If I can get a free version of that part once it's built, then I'll do it." is, in French: "If I can get a free copy of this engine once it is built, no problem."

Ah! I write too quickly then… I have just arrived at Nar Shaddaa and I pass 10 times more time to read the files and 100 times more time to update the Kotor 2 site (or the reverse, perhaps, or 100 and 100 ?) than to play. I've did not yet see this quest (and never see it).

In the Tienn Tubb dialog, a StrRef 85886 is used. In French version, this dialog option, sayed by Tienn Tubb, is somewhat like: 85886: "Yes, Tienn Tubb Master has much work on the arms. As long as his contracts in progress are not honoured, he cannot accept a new workload." This sentence does not exist in the english language version where 85886 says ?Bring me this and we edge discuss payment.? The French version had well existed at a given time: it should be sayed by TT-32, right before E14. The VO is thus a VO of TT-32, witch is not of problem. If this French sentence is idiot in the mouth of Tienn Tubb, it is not idiot at al in "the mouth" of TT-32, especially if one thinks of the search (not restored) of Tienn Tubb in connection with the takeover of his dro?des by someone else (GoTo). TT-32 intervenes then in the conversation to dissuade Tienn Tubb to carry out the modification of the transponder of Ebon Hawk. An astute correction could be made by amalgamating the two versions, French and English. One could make say this sentence by TT-32 and continue by Tienn Tubb which does not take account of the remark of TT-32.

A scene to restore, if possible (not mentioned in the Not Restored list) It is brought to our attention by some traces of the progression of a quest Quest progression 50310 50313 It seems that Tienn Tubb suspected that his droïdes was serving someone else (GoTo), including TT-32. He asks Bao-Dur to check the transponder (alignment system) of the Black Crescent to have confirmation of this. As this search occurs almost exclusively from a terminal, there is not VOs to have, nor Black Crescent to see, and this search can, undoubtedly, being restored as a simple animation. There only be necessary to retrieve some dialog options and VOs exchanges between Tienn Tubb and Bao-Dur before Bao-Dur puts himself at work at a console, somewhere. At the end, Bao-Dur brings back his discovery to Tienn Tubb (some dialog options and VOs too, here), followed by the explosion of TT-32 in order to kill Tienn Tubb (probably ordered remotely by GoTo, like GoTo's assassination of the Byth and its contact on the docks). The progression quest : 50310 : After Bao-Dur returned to speak to Tienn Tubb alone, Tienn told Bao-Dur that he has been intentionally sabotaging his droids because he doesn't trust them. He asked Bao-Dur to go examine the tracking system of the Black Crescent in the docks to see if it has been tampered with. 50311 : The Black Crescent's tracking system cannot be reached. It can only be accessed from the Dock port terminal. 50312 : After examining the Black Cresent, you discovered the tracking transponder has several modifications done to it that allow it to be tracked through hyperspace and intercepted. 50313 : You came back and told Tienn of your discovery. When you revealed the discovery to his maintenance droid, TT-32 detonated, nearly killing Tienn.

Jorran - Thief catching From where do come the dialog (.dlg file) of this dialog? From where do come the dialog options, in this dialog? They do not exist, neither in English language version, nor in French version? Some dialog option are in French but they do not exist in dialog.tlk. Faults in each sentence in the French version. An erroneous translation of 92986 is used whereas this translation does not appear in the French dialog.tlk All the dialog options actually not translated in this dialog had been translated in the updated dialog.tlk since the 10.10 See What is translated / corrected http://assiste.free.fr/kotor_2/ftp/dlg/traduction_qu_est_ce_qui_est_modifie.xls Pick the updated French dialog.tlk http://assiste.free.fr/kotor_2/ftp/tlk/dialog.tlk and attache it to the French installation of TSLRCM

The subtitles, like the dialog options, are separate objects which it is possible to assemble as one wants. It is easy to move a dialog option in the .dlg and its pointer towards the VO file corresponding. The dialog would be built thus a little better and stronger because, currently, this option of dialog falls like a hair on soup.

When the Disciple don't join the party (Exile is male), he leaves to Khoonda from where he sends a message to Onasi (or Cede). This animation is ridiculous. The disciple is vis-a-vis a wall, in a public place, whereas it is supposed being a spy of the Republic and to send a secret message. He could, at least, use the means of communications of Khoonda, for example in the Zherron office.
-
The Disciple is able to say, after having joined the group, but while at the same time we are still in the library of the Enclave and than we did not move yet, and he saw nobody except one or two, things like : Wouldn't it be possible to introduce a counter of the visited planets by the Disciple, in order to authorize it to say that?

StrRef 123578 when Exile is speaking to Bao-Dur At the beginning of the game, this dialog option appears while at the same time it was not yet question of the Bao-Dur skill in connection with the lightsaber manufacture. A conversation will happen later with Bao-Hard and will make it possible to count on its assistance to manufacture a first lightsaber, but this conversation did not take place yet.

KreMov01 not localised (French) It seems that improvements were made (to the attack by Sion). But, from now on, subtitles and VOs are in English.

In the genus "harden the game," Atton, like all others, remains at his level entrance into the game as long as he is not seeking to use the Force and become a Jedi, so he will meet, on numerous occasions, opponents increasingly strong. Quickly, an armor well prepared will be better than his original clothing. If you have well "worked" the search of objects increasing the skills, and if you have properly calculated and balanced the increase in basic skills of your character and Kreia, you are quickly able to make valuable improvements all kinds. And note that I discovered, years ago, but I've never talk about that, that, in XBox version, you can make duplications of objects at the workbench of Peragus! There are 3 places where this is possible in the game (and not only 1 as it is said on the Net). This allows to spend several more hours to play with a lot of fun (XBox only).

French translation : TSLRCM - What is restored? The paper from the TSLRCM team, about what is restored, is translated in French (and upgraded with a list of some fixed bugs) - (although currently limited to what I actually encountered and verified in a canonical walkthrough - the remainings are still in English - not for long I hope) Each event is linked to its extended explanation (or screen shots...) in the pages of the walkthrough. TSLRCM - The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod - Restoration mod - Qu'est-ce qui est restaur? / Corrig? ? French dialogs (subtitles) All the localised subtitles are in the unique file "dialog.tlk" at the root directory of your Kotor 2 - TSL. The French dialog.tlk is now in V 1.6 and contains 598 corrections / modifications. The French paper about that is at http://assiste.free.fr/kotor_2/telechargements.html#dialog_tlk Note that subtitles have been used by actors for the voices and that voices have not been (and can not be) modified. So, they are different and only the most important errors of the initial translation have been made (and cosmetic changes) and only the corrected subtitles should be used by those who want to do a thorough job of understanding of Kotor 2. You can download the updated French dialog.tlk at http://assiste.free.fr/kotor_2/ftp/tlk/dialog.tlk French dialogs reproduced in full Almost all dialogs are reproduced in full and discussed in the canonical walkthrough (with some DS alternatives). http://assiste.free.fr/kotor_2/solution_kotor_2.html#go French dialogs (subtitles) - What is modified? Many thanks Stoney, Sbyl2 and HH. I continue a punctilious canonical progression. I will be a little less on the Net for the two coming months but I would not fail to report all what is obviously a bug and, also, all what I feel somewhat abnormal and even, simply cosmetic.
-
Whenever I raise a problem, HH is always saying that module are modified for English folks and not for other languages, and that the problem don't exist or no more exist with the actual version of TSLRCM... I'm quite sure Zbyl2 and DS will provide a different answer because it is unbelievable and impossible to write modules and scripts specific to each language! It defies logic in industrial development and writing techniques. If my guys had done similar things at the time, they would have been fired long ago. And, if TSLRCM contains widgets localized, it is a big mistake (and there are things completely abnormal as, for example, that a corpse is, in French, called "Corpse" while the word does not appear at all in the dialog.tlk French version, but "Cadavre". And this, unfortunately, seems to prove that HH is right from time to time and, so, there is a big problem in TSLRCM. Dito for some VOs I wonder if I should continue to be tested thoroughly or if I have to act like a player who looks without getting involved. Or if non English are of no interest. Cannot be fixed. Ah? Where does such an idea, since it is a simple animation. Nope, absolutely normal. No!? No kidding!? There is with 1.7. Another french version issue? Again, I do not believe for one moment that there are different modules for each language. Same here, 1.7 fixes that for us English folks... Of course! Considering it's a whole different module, that wont be easy to add, most camera placements and such probably don't even exist there. No idea how hard they would be to place, that's for the others to comment upon... "Considering it's a whole different module..." That's what I say and do this is not the cause of all what I report? And why Obsidian has used another EH module? And during that time, the continuity between the events is broken. The abnormal Ebon Hawk for the Sith attack on Pegarus is taken in sandwitch between two legitimate Ebon Hawk, the one during the prologue and the one during the escape of Peragus. I could understand that the Ebon Hawk of the prologue is different from the Ebon Hawk for the rest of the game as it will be demolished by Darth Sion and rebuilt by HK-50 who not has the Ebon Hawk diagrams (and that the Ebon Hawk is reconstructed with the help of Peragus mines droid maintenance). But not after!
-
Yes it is, exactly as describe. Under 1.7. And don't tell me that it does not exist in EN script but may exist in localised scripts. Scripts are the same for all languages. They are independant of the languages. Fortunately!

This is what I wrote, years ago : Discovery of the Disciple. Open the library door. Here's ... "THE" Disciple (his real name, Mical). Open a conversation. He is pompous, pedantic, priggish, spreading his "knowledge" from the top of his science with phrases like: my contemporaries would judge me ... I am not certain you understand ... Do you wish me to explain? ... What else would you like to know? ... I'm trying to save the Republic ... I do not know if you are aware ... I have been trained by some of the best researchers in the Republic I can apply my knowledge and skills to helping you ... When you want to ask him a question with "I have some questions for you," he begins by taking you for a fool, throughout the adventure, with: And he's a little funny, too! Well ... the monk soldier! ... We just loot the entire lower level of the enclave, putting all the artifacts that were lying there in our pockets after massacring the entire local wildlife loudly, blowing up doors and computers, high voices with Jorran and Kaevee, without ajar his door to see what is happening! The young Kaevee, from the top of her 17 years old, does not hesitate to rush in front of us and to reprimand us. Even better! He allows himself to judge the Exile, and even better, he judge you worthy of being his master!. And the most delicious: gentleman had a destiny! It will be understood: I do not like this character. That said, he is a well of knowledge regarding the history of the Jedi Order. Mical will sit, after Kotor 2, at the Jedi Council of the Jedi Order restored. He is also a naive that have been plunged into the potion of honesty from his earliest childhood, this changes us from Darth Traya, aka Kreia, who become a liar and a betrayer out of revenge, using others to achieve her ends (she leads all Kotor 2 in manipulating everyone from beginning to end). When two conversations will be held on the same subject by Mical and Kreia, we will trust Mical and we will listen carefully what Kreia will tell. It should be noted that at one point he said: Disciple "And there are Admirals within the fleet, who recognize that the Jedi must be found if the Republic is to hold together." We think of course at the former companion of Revan, Admiral Onasis, to whom he is accountable. He is a pawn of the Republic, not a so bad spy: "Admiral, this is Mical. I have found the exile." He was probably been profiled, a moment, as a pawn of Attris, to whom he reports, as suggested by a phrase left in dialog.tlk. StrRef 122863: "Mistress, I have found the exile - and that which hunts the Jedi." Bug from Obsidian in story? Pure speculation of Mical? Mical was surprised how the Jedi chose exile. 107958 : No. It is something of a mystery why they would exile themselves as they have. Really? ... At this point of the game, when he says that, nobody, apart Atris and the Exile (and his/her team), knows that there are still 4 Jedi hiding. The Galaxy believed they are all dead and all the Jedi Order off. Even Kreia does not know if some of them are still living. Darth Nihilus has killed them all and Kreia is now on the way to eradicate the previous tool she made (Nihilus and the Sith), by making a new tool, most powerful. Changing Mical profile To change "simply" the profile of Mical, without changing the game, one should "simply" change all these snippets of sentences quoted at the beginning (but the VOs...).

I go back on what I wrote about this story on Echani handmaidens on the Grenn terminal communication. If your computer skills are sufficient, you can, under the eyes of Grenn, hack the terminal and discover that, in the ramifications of the investigation into the theft of the Ebon Hawk is an investigation into the "Echani handmaidens" (and, perhaps, a lost scene). I've just come now to watch at the original text, in English, and that allusion to the handmaidens. As I could see several times, when correcting the French translation, it seems, at the view of some texts in dialog.tlk, and even in some VOs that do not match the texts in dialog.tlk, that the dialog.tlk final version, in English, has undergone some last minute changes that have not had time to be reproduced in localized versions. So in the actual English version, StrRef 79129 is: "The information does appear to have been sliced, but you are unable to retrieve any useful information." While, in the actual French version, which is probably a translation of a 79129 a little older, we read: "The information does appear to have been sliced, but you can retrieve some lost info, including the "Echani handmaidens". And, to emphasize this point in the French text, "Echani handmaidens" is written in capital letters. Interesting, isn't it?

Hi, VP, When you are on module 126, looking at the shuttle, a title appears in a popup : But I can imagine the amount of job whether to alter the map. And yes, time missing is the general problem for K2. Thanks for the reply.
-
You do it on purpose? Citadel is an artificial station. Movement is done by an automated transit system or a classical transit system, as long as the automated system do not know you. Classic movement from 81 to 126 : I do not take an elevator in the entertainment unit, to join the transport shuttle. I go immediately into a transport shuttle with its seats. It is accessible directly from the level where I am. And... I do not reach my destination in this shuttle! I do not believe for a moment that the shuttle deposited me 10 or 100 floors down to get me to take a lift, especially since the entertainment module is made up of several floors (In which I managed to walk, as they actually exist on the map) while the dock module 126 seem to only have one level for passengers and visitors (we can see technicals elevators in the landing zones, to go down to the technical areas under the landing areas). The shuttle is scheduled to arrive directly at the waiting room. I think that designers did not consult each others when drawing the maps. Look : The graphic work on the shuttle is of another quality that this stupid empty and square cabin where I go out on reaching the module 126. The rear of the shuttle The shuttle and its comfortable passengers lounge. The nose of the shuttle The argument would be to say "On the video of the approach to the Ebon Hawk, we see that the landing areas are at the top of a tower". This will not convince me that there has not been there, a mistake that is undermining the cohesion of Citadel maps. Oh ... Another thing, already reported on the old forum: the Ebon Hawk, on the video, arrives on the landing zone 2, wich is that of Ithoriens. In fact, it is on the landing zone 1 that the TSF has invested and blocked up due to investigation. And, when it arrives, I seem to see someone in white, walking in landig area 2, which makes me furiously think about Brianna. Precisely, there is a story not very clear about the Echani sisters on the Grenn console (a deleted scene for which nothing is left?).

Yes, it's a bit "sad" to see her disappear. She is 17 and is doing all alone for years in a world that seems hostile and who traumatized her. She resisted for years at a Sith holocron that claimed to teach her anything other than what she clung at and still clings at. She could have done well in the battle of Khoonda. We could take her on board the Ebon Hawk, even as a mere passenger throughout the adventure (and a nod to Kotor 1). She no longer wants to use the Force before she found a master. But Kreia will kill them all. We are the last (and new) teachers, and with our air "nobleman" who saves the girl in distress, in reality we abandon her at a decline absolutely certain. She is endearing. Hey! ... It would be a good idea to see her reappear, powerful, LS, in Kotor 3 (because, of course, there will be a Kotor 3 ... right? Yes?...)
