  1. Looks like I have a second mod to wait for.
  2. Stealth to sneak past people, use a computer release a droid, open a door without killing the person holding the key, etc.. pretty general stuff.
  3. Hi. Due to the other thread in your forum I kinda expected the Peragus Fix mod to be here (I didn't actually know it was yours). Has it been included in the TSLCRM 1.7 main patch? I'm sorry, I'm kinda of a newbie here when it comes to Kotor 2 patching.
  4. How are the stealth/infiltration options looking for the extended content? I kind of prefer to avoid confrontations in my games, if possible.

I never said they made the first game as well. Also I think a relatively bug-free game is a reasonable quality standard to ask for upon release. Whether or not this is due to the publisher holding back on financing, pushing the release date or Obsidian itself being happy with fairly low quality standards is irrelevant by now, if you consider for a moment that this has been going on for many years. They have had plenty of time to either find a new publisher or reorganize their programming team a bit. Heck, they probably could have sufficed with a bit more beta testing. Apparently they think things are fine the way they are. I do believe Obsidian has gathered some of the most creative talents available in the gaming industry at this time, and have without question managed to improve on the original IP's they have set out to make sequels of. I for one would be *very* disappointed if SW:TOR would choose neglect Kotor 2's legacy in favor of Kotor 1.
  6. He told me he's working on an update which will be released soon. The old one which isn't compatible can be found here: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/VP_Modules_Tweak_Pack_1;108867
  7. Oh thanks! 1.7 proof, right? Edit: I actually have problems finding what you mean, so I'll send him a PM.

Whoops. Quality in the second one. I intended to write something about how they were also new on the market. You know, breath of fresh air. The writer of that blog can't really vouch for. I.. ah.. forgot. I've been reading up about Kotor 2 mods all day.
  9. Oh no, nothing like that. I switched the game for Jade Empire. Lots of kissing going on in that game.

Bioware never developed Kotor 2. That was Obsidian Entertainment, who actually managed to do-it-again recently with the incredibly buggy Fallout 3: New Vegas. Bioware has a cleaner, if a slightly more boring track record. I don't think they'll be as likely to put a broken game on the market as Obsidian, but a more-of-the-same sort of MMO is a likelier outcome. The only edge they have in the MMO department is twofold. The amount of dialogue alone tells us a lot about the quantity of voiced quests we'll see, but it tells us nothing of the quantity. Here they either: - have stuck with Lucasarts and written boring SW:Clone Wars-like stories. - stuck to their own writer team which has been producing 'okay' stuff for the past eight years. I'm not that happy about the latter option either. Bioware today is nothing like the original Black Isle team that created Baldur's Gate.
  11. I think a little black fadeout will suffice, especially since it's such a minor plot point. I don't recall the kissing scene between Revan and Bastilla being a problem. There's such a thing as paying too much attention to the details.
  12. Darth Sion wasn't in a Kolto tank. He was presumed DEAD, so there was no reason for him to be in one. The tank of (let's call it) formaldehyde was constructed differently from the tanks you see in the rest of the game. Why would you expect a corpse to break out of an enclosed container? I certainly don't think people have to break out of regular kolto tanks for the same reason. It seems unlikely that the medical bay kolto tanks wouldn't allow for patients to open the tanks from the inside, in case of a problem.
  13. I was horribly disappointed with vanilla Trayus Academy. As I recall they went as far as using low-poly Kotor1 civilian models for Sith Lords. I The Trayus Academy Clothing Fix promises to fix all that, http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Trayus_Academy_Clothing_Fix;81646. It adds clothing and replaces characters. I do not know to what extend TSLCRM has altered this place, but I think this mod is *quite* needed. If TSLCRM hasn't already fixed it (I mean, I know for a fact things have been changed to the academy, just not to what extend), does it sound like this mod would conflict? AFAIK it affects: appearance.2da 902MAL.rim 902MAL_dlg.erf 902MAL_s.rim 903MAL.rim 903MAL_dlg.erf 903MAL_s.rim 905MAL.rim 905MAL_dlg.erf 905MAL_s.rim 906MAL.rim 906MAL_dlg.erf 906MAL_s.rim
  14. I haven't installed the Kotor 2 patch in many years. Is 1.0b the same as 1.02b? I'm not sure if I got the right download from Lucasarts. I don't want to screw up my patched installation ^^; Edit: I think I figured it out.. they are the same version. Thread can be deleted.
  15. I think I'll be holding out for 1.8.. 0_o
  16. Yes, I think I prefer the first one too. The double query is a bit odd.
  17. Thanks for updating the Green Fix! I was following your earlier update where someone mentioned there was a bug with TSLRCM. This one is definitely going on the modlist.
  18. Oh, I meant 'going to have a crack at~'. Sorry.
  19. So I was wondering if any of you are 'going to have' a crack at Star Wars: The Old Republic. An MMO isn't probably what many of us are after, but so far it seems like Bioware be including a lot of its trademark gameplay elements. That entices me at least. I *wish* I could play it at launch, but I desperately need a new computer. I won't have money for that during the next half year or so. At least I have KOTOR 2 to keep me busy with.
  20. I was just wondering, what is this improved file? Were you referring to some kind of mod? Edit: Never mind, I read in a later post that it will be included in the next release of TSLRCM.
  21. Heh. I created a topic about pacifism at the ST TOR forums, and someone said the same thing. Non-violence is underappreciated. And I *have* to get PST to run on this machine one of these days.

Aha, so that's it. Well I hope Dashus will one day come around and open up the Team Gizka code for everyone. I don't really think he knows how many people still appreciate what he did to get this started.
