Ragged Refugees
The drowtrodden residents of the Refugee Sector always appeared a bit too clean to me, dressed in the same outfit as your player character no less. Now they'll look the part with my implementation of an unused clothing variant (slightly edited) and a second one ported from the first game. Also applies to refugees by the landing pad.

Thought that might be the case. I'm not a proficient scripter by any means, so I can't help you there without dedicating some time myself into getting comfortable with scripting for kotor 1.

You should know there are certain features hardcoded by row ID in baseitems.2da but I don't know the full extent of it.

Happens when the character doesn't innately have the required feat - bonus feat property doesn't cut it. Idk if you can do it in K1, but in TSL you can script it in:
void main() { GrantFeat(43,GetObjectByTag("Cand")); }

Build-A-Bastila
Players who take in Bastila as their Sith apprentice probably find themselves disappointed that she isn't exactly the same as when she left your party, mechanically speaking. I don't claim to offer the optimal dark Jedi Sentinel builds here, but it's hard beating the atrocious vanilla stat allocation for last place.
Receive Bastila exactly how she first joined you in the Taris apartments or select from a list of available presets. You can switch your chosen build at any point during the game before reaching the Rakatan temple summit. Simply run the patcher again and pick a new spec.
This mod should be installed first, before any mods that affect party member Bastila at the Rakatan temple. If said mods are already installed then they must be reinstalled after this one.

Noted. I'll do it when I muster the energy to comb through the first two planets lol.

I have been looking through the .ini file and I noticed that it seems you decided to leave out non-Jedi Sith from your adjustments.
Hey Salk! I might have overlooked something, which ones are you refering to?
6 hours ago, Salk said:could you tell me why generic Sith soldiers should keep the original neutral (50) alignment?
Besides not wanting to trivialize already easy regular trooper encounters, I myself just don't consider the average army mook to be an inherent bad guy no more than I'd consider a random republic soldier to be a good guy on the DS/LS scale.
6 hours ago, Salk said:And one more question: I noticed you changed the alignment for Ajunta Pall too but the game seems to have deliberately decided to give him a Good alignment and that fits with his story. Perhaps it was best left alone?
Checked again, they left him neutral like almost everything else. I figured if you get to the point where you fight him then obviously the dialogue to complete his redemption never took place.

If I'm not misremembering I've seen this error reported on another thread before, it throws when the modder mistakenly puts .2das or something else into the gff list in the tslpatcher of course. This isn't the case here, it looks to be on your end only which makes it harder to troubleshoot. Sorry for not being of any help.

I still say that you should scavenge what you can and upload lol

This is something I'm just wondering, many modders do a little something for themselves and figure why not share it, while others take a more "serving the masses" approach. I personally don't use everything I've made, namely my early crappy retextures and some other random additions. Curious to know.

Weapons & Armor, Uncut
...Expand your arsenal with the newly unearthed lost artifacts of the Old Republic...
Welcome! I gladly present this mod which restores nearly all the equipable items cut from KotOR due to some reason or another. Most of them are pretty standard fare, but they no doubt bring even more variety to the game's inventory and are absolutely full of flavour, I'm sure you restoration afficionados out there will appreciate it.
While the items themselves are official, come up by BioWare, their implementation was done at my discretion, though I did take care to follow developer notes wherever I could find them.
Some small features have been brought over from Misc. Nitpicks (visit to see details)
INSTALLING
Run the TSLPatcher and choose between one of the two options, the default package or the "Plus" package. The latter includes some tasteful (disclaimer: bias) changes done by me and more restorations of items I deemed useless or redundant (ie: Teta's Royal Band).
I should warn you to choose your option carefully because you'll only be able to switch it after uninstalling the previous one clean, which for most mods with module injections, if not done right away with the proper backups will turn from a tedious matter to a near impossible one. In most cases this can only be cleanly achieved though a reinstall of the game.
I also recommend installing my own K1 Armor Nitpicks or JC's Mandalorian Armor for K1 (these are compatible with each other by the way) as they will compliment this mod well. All icons were designed to look good alongside vanilla ones and I won't be doing high resolution versions for them. If the authors of any HD icon packs want to include icons for this mod they're hereby allowed to, I'll link them here.
Ignore any warnings about skipping files during installation, that's normal patcher procedure. Errors are not, however.
COMPATIBILITY
"Weapons & Armor, Uncut" is compatible with the K1 Community Patch but I wouldn't advise to install it alongside the Restoration Project due to overlaps.
If using the "Plus" install then any mod that changes any .uti files inside this tslpatchdata folder will be overwritten in that regard. I can't vouch for virtually every mod in existence (were you expecting me to do that?) but all my other stuff is compatible.
This mod only works with the English version of Knights of the Old Republic. I did not use string references anywhere, but if there is enough demand for localization support then I will redo it that way and leave the translation to the interested party.

What's up people, just passing by to announce, to anyone that's interested, that I'm restoring all the equipable weapons, armor etc. that were cut from the final release for whatever reason (around 30 give or take). This isn't a grand or ambitious project by any means, I don't even think it warrants a WIP thread, but lately I haven't been feeling like modding kotor anymore. I do get sick of looking at those unfinished mod folders however, so by posting this here it's almost like a promise to keep. Planning to send this thing out this month! Also yay hype.

Being a restored content mod, the tslrcm crew saw fit to restore all the cut miner items, the heavy mining laser too. I won't comment on that decision. I checked again just to be sure and I didn't find a fixed zabrak grip or energy cell drops, besides the cheat plasteel cylinder. There's something going on with your install or mods because fully upgradeable short swords are neither vanilla or TSLRCM, guaranteed.

K2 Armor Nitpicks
___________________________________________________________
A bundle of my personal nitpicks to the armory of TSL. This compilation aims to rectify duplicates among other miscellaneous stuff. All the new textures are supposed to fit in, look like they belong. Hopefully they're up to standard.
~ M'uhk'gfa uses a new texture. No longer a duplicate.
~ Mandalorian Combat Suit uses a new texture. No longer a duplicate.
~ Heavy Battle Armor uses the unused PBH01 texture. No longer a duplicate and consistent with K1.
~ Echani Shield Suit uses the unused PBD07 texture. No longer a duplicate.
~ New fixed icon for Echani Heavy Armor. Let's just ignore the fact that it's obviously Mandalorian in design.
~ Reinforced Fiber Armor touched up item description. Since I'm not changing the texture, this is the least I can do because this armor most definitely isn't made of tree fibers like in the first game.
~ Jal Shey Neophyte Armor uses the unused PBM04 texture. No longer a duplicate.
~ New icon for Mandalore's Armor.
___________________________________________________________
Bonus restorations/others:
Spoiler~ Restored Mission's armband. New icon.
~ Partially restored the Beast-Rider suit.
~ Khoonda Militia Armor is now obtainable. New fixed icon.
~ Restored the +/- 1/2 Pazaak Card.
~ Restored icons for D-Package type implants. Other implants use alternative icons.

K1 Armor Nitpicks
___________________________________________________________
A bundle of my personal nitpicks to the armory of KOTOR. This compilation aims to rectify duplicates among other miscellaneous stuff (I have not considered GenoHaradan rewards for this effect). All the new textures are supposed to fit in, look like they belong. Hopefully they're up to standard.
~ Calo Nord's Battle Armor uses the PBG02 texture. Fits the color scheme much better in my opinion. In fact, I wonder if this was the intent all along.
~ Powered Battle Armor uses the PBG06 texture. Consistent with K2.
~ Verpine Zal Alloy Mesh uses the PBG05 texture. Consistent with K2.
~ Zabrak Combat Suit uses a new texture. The Echani Fiber Armor should be the recipient of this change really, but it's the iconic go-to armor in Taris for the PC. No longer a duplicate.
~ Zabrak Battle Armor uses a new texture. The Republic Mod Armor would be the target of this change but again, same deal. No longer a duplicate.
~ Mandalorian Assault Armor is no longer a disguise and uses the unused PBH07 texture. I know, I'm evil incarnate. Consistent with K2.
~ Mandalorian Heavy Armor uses a new texture.
~ Jedi Robes and Revan Armor no longer display their erroneous max DEX bonus. Less confusing.
This mod does not fix the many pricing inconsistencies on armor; It does not address the Dark Jedi robes inconsistency; It does not address the Qel-Droma robes (yet).

I never played on Xbox, so I can only attest for the PC version. In vanilla you can find a vibroblade off a corpse in first the room after the medical bay, it has been replaced with the vibrocutter in TSLRCM. Short swords are only able to be upgraded at the hilt and edge with the cell slot greyed out, you can't even try to insert one.
Random loot in Peragus is purposedly toned down, but I know JC confirmed that weapon upgrades of all types were dropped for some reason which he then removed it in his loot fixes. You can always find several droid items, a Bio-restorative Underlay Mk I, a Basic Ionite Edge and a pair of Insulated Gloves. I've been scoping the placeables and I can't find any mention of a Zabrak Grip and I only came across an Improved Energy Cell inside a cheat cylinder which doesn't spawn in the actual game.
-
Those issues seem to be on your end, the short swords have always been upgradeable at the edge and grip only, and the miner's uniform only accepts robe upgrades even with TSLRCM. The vibrocutter is a mining tool, it can't be taken apart and upgraded with military-grade cells and stuff in the same way a mining laser can't be upgraded with power cells and gun chambers. They look like a vibroblade and blaster pistol respectively because noone bothered to make extra models for them. I'm sure a guidon beacon isn't supposed to be a quarterstaff either. Also any upgrades you aquire at Peragus are completely random.
-
It seems like my file's screenshots aren't being displayed by upload order anymore, as far as i could tell it always worked like this before. Something changed?
-
If it's a different take on a concept someone else already made a mod for I guess you've got the green light if you do it all from scratch. For example I was thinking of applying a transparent mask to Ajunta Pall's vanilla appearance for those who want him to look more ghostly but still retain the original dark jedi model, and I would have never thought of it if silveredge and VP hadn't done it before. On this mod alone there have been others before this that changed Ajunta Pall's blades and N-Drew has fixes for the red and sapith crystals.
2 hours ago, Salk said:Oh okay, got it. Your reason for making them undroppable was...? I'm curious...
I'm confident I can say those weren't supposed to drop just by taking a look at the labels, tags, properties and all other specific utis present in the same module and how they're used. You also get a feel for BioWare's naming conventions when you've inspected every single .uti in the files :P
-
Hey Salk thanks, I'm glad you appreciate it! I have more coming along, nearly finished, for a second there I thought they would never see the light of day after a scare I got yesterday with some faulty RAM. Why not release your stuff by the way?
20 hours ago, Salk said:Just one question: could you elaborate the "NPC items no longer drop" change?
The One and Saul Karath don't drop their module specific weapons anymore, the latter being replaced by the general assassin pistol. Bandon's saber only drops in the Xbox version so I didn't need to do anything there.

Honest Merchant (TSLRCM)
Brothers Dendis and Samhan Dobo decided to set up shop on the Telos citadel station. While Samhan opted to aquire his merchandise from dubious channels, Dendis kept himself, his inventory, and his prices, modest and ethical. This is why after TSLRCM I find it hard to believe that Dendis Dobo runs an honest but struggling business when I check his wares and see top-of-the-line gear and belongings of famous Jedi on sale.
This mod was quickly whipped up to revert his store to it's original state. It goes without saying you should install this only if you're using TSLRCM.

Misc. Nitpicks
Individual preferences and stuff that annoys me that I've not seen tackled anywhere else, or at least without being scattered around in different mods or not having been done quite how I would myself. Compatible with K1CP. Several changes are included in the PLUS install of Weapons & Armor Uncut.
- Navardan Regenerator becomes a Level 2 implant because it costs more than another implant that does the exact same thing. Even if not for the cost, it's standing existence is reduntant.
- Bothan Sensory Visor switches price with Bothan Perception Visor. They're clearly mispriced.
- Security Decryption Interface is now appropriately priced.
- Two Carbonite Projectors were added to Mika Dorin's inventory. A matter of availability.
- Fixed descriptions of droid special weapons.
- Fixed/altered icon of several crystals.
- Brejik's Arm Band renamed to Brejik's Armband.
- Sherruk's red saber drop is a green one instead.
- Baragwin Ion-X Weapon now uses the unused w_IonRfl04.tpc texture. No longer a duplicate.
- NPC items no longer drop (Boohoo).
- All swords inside Ajunta Pall's sarcophagus have been revised according to description.
- Ajunta Pall's Blade renamed to Ajunta Pall's Sword. It shares it's texture with the Notched Steel Sword and the old texture is now used by Echani Ritual Brand.
- The ancient Vibrosword no longer floats besides the hands when wielded.
- The spirit of Ajunta Pall is deadlier if you walk the Light Side.
- Fixed plasma mines to deal Fire damage (Previously dealt Energy damage).
- A Wookiee Warblade can be found on the village of Rwookrrorro.
If you have any kind of weapon model overhaul installed, please choose the appropriate option during patching.
This mod does not fix the many pricing inconsistencies present on almost all item categories nor does it adress the duplicate (even triplicate) instances of reused textures on weapons.

Sorry to hear that Tyvokka. Obviously don't prioritize the website over your health, but at the risk of sounding a bit callous, I think you should reach out to your admins though I'm not sure how much leeway they have to do some upkeep here.

I've noticed community engagement events kinda stopped dead two years ago now, the site's missing some little features, the featured on the dl section has been showcasing the same ol' rotation for long long time... Adds to the stale feeling. But no one is oblivious here, I'm sure you all noticed this. Kotor is having a spike in relevancy lately due to the new rumors and maybe you're holding off on the new site update to give it a kick, fingers crossed?

TK-664's Korriban
Cue the Korriban monastery in KotOR. The charming place where Malak's foul-mouthed underlings train, aspiring to one day achieve Bandon levels of douchery. Despite all their shortcomings, I did always like the militarized aspect of the Sith they had in place.
This mod alters relevant characters all over the planet, following a sort of dress code, almost. Students wear standard uniforms while away from the academy (though most still do wear them inside as well), with higher ranked Sith having more distinct uniforms themselves. Anyone expecting to break a sweat, or hopefuls seeking to gain prestige like Yourself are dressed in battle-ready robes.
There's some further details - Czerka officers wear the company drab; the bay mechanic switched to more comfortable working clothes; female Twi'lek residents dress modestly now (as supposed? Very likely a mistake, as they had actual clothing equipped but their appearance was the identical albeit static alien one); crazy hermit Jorak Uln has a tattered old uniform; A redeemed Yuthura will now ditch the Sith outfit in favor of simple clothing...
I upgraded all lite Sith appearances to albino, including Hijata (whose dialogue I chose not to restore). Citizen lite models were not upgraded, better turn to another mod for that such as K1 Lite Upgrader by @AFP. Other than this, I took the liberty of minimizing the dreaded "clone effect" since it's especially egregious on Korriban, having up to 5 instances of the same head in the same module and at times a few feet from each other.
Also, it turns out in respect to Korriban that plenty of files are a proper mess. Included are fixes for various inconsistencies, appearance type oversights, misgendered npcs (thus restoring some gender specific dialogue; thanks to @ebmar about the Tariga finding - Tariga Gender on Tamlen DLG Fix), wrong soundsets, and blank inventories/feats/spells.
Install & Compatibility
Run the TSLPatcher. Ignore any warnings about skipping .mod files.
Patching this on top of K1CP might result in odd incidents such as duplicate drops and merged appearances from both mods. In case I needed to say it, other mods overhauling characters on Korriban aren't 100% compatible, most notably JC's Korriban: Back in Black for K1.
This mod only works with the English version of KotOR.
