  1. I've found that higher difficulty just means more medpacs and stimshots are used.

I prefer easy so I can try different things, test out different weapons, armor, so on. And for the story and checking stuff out.

Well, that's one way to do it. Some of us like to have more of a challenge, though, especially for me since this is I think my seventh or eighth playthrough.

  2. Though, offhandedly, it's nice to hear about other people's experiences with kotor, especially the struggling. I'm surprised you stuck around considering college and what was it, CIv 4?

Yeah, it's been a while since I played - especially after I got Skyrim. But it's still a good game to play when I'm in the right mood (even alongside Civ IV). I'll make more blog posts about my adventures if I get any more good experiences to write about.

  3. Well, I certainly can't identify with you very much as far as your general situation and history go.

As far as talking to people goes... I really don't just go up and talk to a total stranger, like, ever. I don't hold long conversations with most people - sometimes I'll respond to general, larger-scale conversations (like when the entire class is talking about stuff before class starts), and the friends I have I can (sometimes) go and talk to, but mostly I only talk with people if they start the conversation. Then I usually probably talk to much... As far as guy or girl goes, I actually for whatever reason tend to get along better with girls than with other guys, and all of my best friends are girls (though in one case it's pretty much entirely because she was nice enough to befriend me). But I guess on this whole issue I'm not really much help, am I?

But even though I'm rather socially inept... it doesn't actually bug me very much, at least most of the time. I think this is because I do have a few good friends, so if you can make just one or two, that might go a long way.

Hope things start getting better for you and you start feeling better!

  4. Do you know if it's possible to test this mod out without playing through the whole game up to that point?

EDIT: Just had a thought that I can use the save provided with Newbiemodder's Korriban Expansion. I may give this mod a spin this week.

ANOTHER EDIT: I'm getting security warnings when I try to download it, so I guess I won't be trying it after all.
