  1. Reportedly by assessing the files, there was no incompatibility between the mods...

    This update serves three purposes:

    1. Cleans up the installers due to the LiliArch's fixes.

    2. Serves to ensure the mod is still available on the internet, with permissions intact.

    3. Assures the compatibility between BoS:SR and K1R.

You do realize that the main reason for the fixes in BoS:SR (the "main" installation, not the patch) is to fix the screwed appearances, that cause visual incompatibilities with other mods that change the appearance.2da... right? (Characters only, though, not placeables, because I'm stupid and didn't realize there was an issue, too.)

  2. Nobody was BORN with the knowledge of coding. Everyone who knows it has learnt it with very much hard work, and most of the modders probably the hard way, too.

  3. Maybe the location of the server (probably the bandwidth of it, I assume? I must admit, I'm no network expert) and at least the current load of the server (it's faster to downlad from server that has currently 1 user on it, than from a server that has 10 000 users on it) could have some effect to it?

Well, that was directed to FS and not you, batu222. Of course, it's possible your net is just being slow (network connections keep doing that when you least want it). Do you have higher speeds from other servers, right now?

  4. I am playing a light side character, but I decided to rebel against queen Talia with Vaklu. Perhaps I missed something, but, neither choice (Talia or Vaklu) seemed truly ethical. However, revolution appeals to me, and I did not want to support monarchy (because it's not democratic).

It's not about democracy, it's just about who will be the ruler, as far as I can see. Vaklu is royalty, too.

  5. I'm not surprised... I'd assume that the game uses the model's filename to find the model, but then the renderer or whatever uses the model's name in-model while rendering. Or something like that. Reason of that assumption: if you rename a body model, but not the body model's name in the mdl itself, and then have it in-game, it doesn't exactly crash, but... if you have two models in same module with that same name in mdl, even though if the filename is different, the same model is rendered for both of those models. I noticed that while testing some clothing variants. (Thought it would be a relevant piece of info, considering that mdl name stuff of models, even though it's not actually about areas.)

  6. Im not surprised... Jar Jar is like the Kyle Katarn of the SW Universe, except he actually accomplished something

"Kyle Katarn of the SW Universe"? What, Kyle Katarn doesn't belong into SW Universe?

Well, unless you're talking stricktly about the new canon, only...

  7. I am a fan of an old mac game called Escape Velocity. Star Citizen looks to be a next-gen successor to that type of gameplay.

Escape Velocity? Try Endless Sky. It's open source, even.

And to not wander too far away from the topic, I like what I'm seeing there so far, but... but. I don't know. Something feels out of place, and I don't quite know what it is. Maybe it's just me beeing too picky, though...

  8. Where, at all, does it say they are at war with the Naboo? Not in the movie, and whatever book you're citing is no longer canon. The hostilities are mere quabbles and disputes, not wars... I think you need to watch Episode 1 again.

And what, if I may ask, has the current canon to do with the believability in the scene, when it was originally out? Just saying. I have no recollection of the movie at all, nor any EU around it, so I'm not adding any conversation about it more than that; I'm just curious about the arguments here.

  9. Now that you mentioned... it's not in my Override, either. On the other hand, as M4-78 was a cut planet, it seems to be in the galaxymap_p.gui that's in the game files already, so it's not required to be in the Override. What you're missing is something in some script (though don't ask me what and where).

  10. I read this forum, and the last post mentions manually moving the galaxy map files to the override folder, which should correct the problem. The only problem with that is that the M4-78 installation just that, and I cannot access any individual files within it as I would with a normal mod.

You could install it into a fake location (not your actual game folder) - then you just need to grab the files from there to your actual location.

  11. I'll chime in.

Overhauled + fixed would be a good way to go, but it would definitely need some improvement. The way it is now, or at least the way it seems to me now, is that the seams suddenly disappear into thin air, while the floor clearly is constructed with metal panels. You'd need huge equipment to build a metal panel big enough to form the whole room (apartment)... and I'm not sure that would even be reasonable (though that can be argued over, I'm sure... it's a space station after all, so, less seams may cause less stress to the structure - or more; I don't quite know the physics there).

What I'm trying to say, I suppose, is that currently it looks like there's some seams in the floor that seem to serve no purpose, as they don't define a panel (they just look like someone would have decided to draw lines to the floor).

I hope I got it typed at least almost right... my keyboard seems to like eating letters today.
