  1. Perfect, thank you so much! Yeah, I'm aware that the remaining part of the skirt will still sway a little, which is fine. Currently, I'm editing the Alpha Channels on the current textures (Getting rid of the Alpha's on the Padawan and Knight Robes, but the Master Robe will have the Gold trim still shine.). I think I'm also gonna get rid of the Gold in the very center of the chest for the Master robes. It looks a little.... off to me.

EDIT, June 28th, 2015: Ok, I made some Dark Jedi Variants. Will also work on a Grey/Gray Jedi Robe next.

  2. That will still help Malkior, as I want to know how to get certain parts that ARE alpha channeled, to become not alpha channeled.

EDIT: Man, this took quite a bit of trial and error. After much fiddling around, I managed to somewhat recreate Jolee Bindo's Robe from K1 with the Sith Assassin robe (Which as I stated before, an edited model and texture of Jolee's Robe).

EDIT 2: Malkior, thank you. Alpha Channels are no longer a problem.

  3. @Fair Strides: The model name is "n_darkjhim". I'll set up a save or something at Freedon Nadd's Tomb in a bit.

@Mailkor: I'd be fine with that, but I want to keep shine on certain robes. I'm just wondering how to get rid of it on certain sections like the gloves or the shoulder piece.

  4. I'd appreciate it if somebody could do that (make a new model that just removes the cape). I'd do it myself, but I still don't have any experience with editing models. Also, I have no idea how to get rid of Alpha Channels on textures with Photoshop, and if I remove them with GIMP, it messes the look up. Can anybody help by giving me some pointers?

  5. Okay, so... Progress time. So this is what I have so far, and I'm liking it. I'm calling them Jedi Combat Armors, if that makes sense. Another thing I'm thinking of doing, is making Jal Shey color variants of these, so it's the same Color scheme as those robes, but using these models.

  6. Yeah, this robe's a TSL exclusive.

Completely off the subject of this robe in particular...

I came across something pretty funny when looking at the textures for the Sith Assassins' Robes a long time ago. I realized that they actually use an edited model and texture of Jolee Bindo's robe from the first game.

  7. Yeah, I know I haven't been posting as much on the forums as much as I did like the past two years. I haven't even posted anything over at Lucusforums. I've mostly been lurking offline.

The gloves, boots, torso, and skirt/cape are colored brown, and the Trimming I tried to make sort of a golden look to it, just to sort of give it that "Jedi are noble/honorable" feel. I made this using Photoshop because since October to just a few weeks ago, I was attending a Digital Photography class, and I got to learn how to use Photoshop which was a great learning experience for me in general.

Yeah I'm down to make a Jedi Themed one. I still really like the Sith ones though. :P

  8. Here's a tiny preview on an extra building I'm making. Took some cues from that concept art piece of Taris.

What you guys think? To wide?

I think it looks just fine. Maybe shorten the width of the building a little bit.

I did indeed find the time to finish the Dantooine skybox (or the green version at least). I might still darken the sun a bit, since it's still really, really bright, but everything else is done.

And to celebrate this step towards a finished product, here's a screenshot for you :D

I'm liking what I'm seeing! That's an interesting take on the way Dantooine is in terms of it's land-scapes.

  9. Oh wow, yeah I'm down for this idea Sithspecter. That's actually very useful, because I also remember how annoying it is to have to do everything twice when it comes to making texture mods for character armors and such just from my one Sith Officer Armor mod.

  10. Hmm.... The Blue cloth on the clothing is darker (more grayish blue than baby blue) and.... no Backpack? It seems like that because I remember the blue being MUCH brighter, and the Backpack would short of peek over the character's shoulders. Plus I believe there was an Antenna.
