THIS MOD REQUIRES THE 128mb RAM UPGRADE HARDWARE MOD!!!!! https://consolemods.org/wiki/Xbox:RAM_Upgrade CLARIFICATION: The Xbox has double the usual ram in its dev units. Meanwhile, the retail consoles use the same boards as the dev units. STATEMENT: Therefore, there are empty spaces to add extra RAM to your console internally. You NEED to add this ram to play Kotor at 720p. --------------------------------------- Introduction: This mod converts your Xbox Kotor 2 game folder into a 720p version of the game. You must have soldered additional ram into your console or you will get a black screen, as additional ram is expected. The original Xbox natively supports 720p output and many games officially take advantage of this feature. It has long been possible to hex edit additional Xbox games to unofficially force 720p mode, but this causes several issues that make Kotor 2 unplayable. The goal of this mod is to combine a 720p hacked .xbe with a variety of fixes so that Kotor 2 can be fully enjoyed at 720p on the original Xbox. This mod is a fully tested and recommendable way to enjoy the game. --------------------------------------- How to install: Put the mod into the root of your Xbox's Kotor 2 game folder. You will overwrite several files, and as a result, your game folder will permanently become a 720p version of Kotor 2. For this reason, I recommend making a copy of your original folder, so that you can easily play at 480p again if desired. Note: This mod is fully tested, compatible, and stable with The Sith Lords Restored Content Modification - LOTO's Xbox Version! I recommend installing that mod, testing it on your Xbox, and then installing this one on top of it. Another Note: A 720p AI upscaled cutscenes mod should work fine on Xbox if you prefer that over the vanilla upscaled movies. I have only tested the movies that I upscaled without AI for Xbox. If you want to try this, choose a 720p option. Also look at the Issues section below and consider keeping a few of my movie files! --------------------------------------- Changelog: 1.0 Implements edited 720p versions of all original Xbox .gui in game. Increases the size of the minimap and zooms it out to take advantage of the resolution. Replaces the original default.xbe with one modified for 720p by OgXHD software. Replaces bugged security camera effect with a blue overlay. Disables motion blur effect function calls in all swoop race minigame modules. Disables motion blur effect on jedi force runs. Reduces visual effect of Force Wave as it is bugged and would make it hard to see. Disables first person droid view effects as they were bugged. Replaces all movies with 720p upscaled Xbox versions (to eliminate significant black space and fill the screen.) Issues: -Three movies (only 1 in vanilla game) stutter on Xbox when displayed at 720p. To eliminate this, I reduced them to 18fps. They're all very short exterior ship shots and I think this is a decent fix. Effected movies are NarMov03, permov08, and permov09. -The Xbox struggles with smoke effects up close. This doesn't really hurt the game but it helps to understand why the title screens is a little laggy. -Atton's intercom cutscenes on Peragus and the Coruscant trial scene don't have special camera effects as a side effect of fixing security cameras. -Many distortion effects display incorrectly at 720p. But it's not really that bad. -The map on the map screen is stuck at its original size on Xbox. -Some feats and powers gui elements seem to be hardcoded to a degree unlike the first game. This isn't really an issue and this stuff turned out well, but it's not ideal. -There's a minor gui element on the main interface that seems to be entirely hardcoded. It's the text bubble that pops up when you pick a fighting behavior script for a character on the toolbar, or when you go in stealth. This is stuck at its original position, which luckily is out of the way and in a decent spot! --------------------------------------- Credits: Sorry if I forget anything. This project was made entirely possible due to tools and discoveries created by many people. You don't need to ask me permission to use things from this mod for your own projects. Hellraiser988 Came in at the end and helped a bit with testing and debug. Provided test feedback on the character screen, a stuttering movie, and the pazaak game screen. He probably would have helped me make the whole mod if we had gotten together earlier! There aren't a lot of people who care to make dedicated mods for Xbox Kotor, so shoutout to this guy. Causes the Repair skill to modify damage inflicted by Stun/Disable/Destroy Droid. SUMMARY Knowing how to fix something usually means you know how to break it too. This mod makes it so the damage dealt by Stun Droid and higher tier powers depends on the Force user’s Repair skill. Users with high Repair may deal significantly more damage than vanilla, while damage dealt by users with cross-class Repair will be limited. A way to make your tech enthusiast Jedi stand out in combat. DETAILS In vanilla, Stun/Disable/Destory Droid inflict damage equal/proportional to your character level. This mod changes the flat damage value to incorporate the Repair skill: damage = (level + 1.5*Repair)/2 With a Repair of 0, you deal half the vanilla damage. With a Repair equal to your character level, you inflict 25% more damage than vanilla. At double your level, you deal double damage. INSTALLATION To install, run TSLPatcher.exe. If spells.2da already exists in your override folder, an unaltered copy will be placed in the “backup” folder in the location of TSLPatcher.exe, along with a backup of dialog.tlk. UNINSTALLATION To uninstall, remove k_fp_stundr1rep.ncs, k_fp_stundr2rep.ncs, k_fp_stundr3rep.ncs, and spells.2da from your override folder. Replace dialog.tlk in the main game folder with the unaltered dialog.tlk in the backup folder. If a spells.2da was created inside the backup folder, move it to override. COMPATIBILITY Should be compatible with any mod that doesn’t affect the scripts for Stun Droid, Disable Droid, or Destroy Droid. As long as it’s installed after, this mod will override changes to these powers’ scripts only. PERMISSIONS Please do not reupload this mod. The fastest ship in the galaxy is also a work in progress. When they are not out and about with you, the gang spends most of their time just trying to keep the Ebon Hawk up and running. But the many gaps in walls, ceilings, and floors, the mysterious black panels, missing hull pieces, and see-through metal is a lot for even our expert Iridonian to handle. So let's give Bao-Dur a hand! So to speak. Version 2.0.0 contains lots of new goodies, such as fixed lightmapping, lights for dynamic objects where they were missing, re-cut geometry for computer panels to match blinking animations to the appropriate textures, loosened walkmeshes to remove some invisible walls, and a host of new texture mapping improvements. This mod also now has you covered for the damaged Ebon Hawk seen in the prologue, fixing the same sorts of issues. Installation: Download the 7z file for the mod version of your choice and extract to your override folder, found in the same directory as your main game executable. For Steam installations, this would be "Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II". 7z files can be opened with Archive Utility on macOS, or with free programs such as PeaZip on Windows/Linux. If you are upgrading from an older version of this mod, you can safely delete that "Ultimate_Ebon_Hawk_Repairs" folder from your override. If you use either "Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (not including Galaxy Map)" or "More Subtle Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (still not including Galaxy Map)" by Sith Holocron, Dark Hope, ebmar, and Xarwarz, I have made special versions of relevant submodules wherein I recut the computer panel geometry again to match the ship animations to the textures exactly. Due to the high quality of these textures, I was able to make the cuts in this version even nicer than the ones I made for vanilla. Just take the files found in the "Animated Monitors" subfolder, place them into the main mod folder, and enjoy. Uninstallation: Remove the folder "Ultimate_Ebon_Hawk_Repairs_for_TSL" from your override. Included Files: Compatibility: Users should expect full compatibility with any other mods, so long as they do not modify/replace the above files. This mod is not compatible with "Ebon Hawk Model Fixes" by bead-v and ndix UR, but fixes the same issues, as well as a great many more. If you currently have the other mod installed, you can avoid any mod conflicts by removing either "EbonHawkCockpitFix_v2.0" or "Ebon Hawk Cockpit Fix" from your override, depending on which version you currently have. If you are looking for an Ebon Hawk repairs mod for the first game, that is available here. If you are looking for some other ways to make the ship a little more livable, there are many texture mods out there that are well worth the installation, and all of them compatible with this mod. Sith Holocron, Dark Hope, ebmar, and Xarwarz have authored both "Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (not including Galaxy Map)" and "More Subtle Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (still not including Galaxy Map)". I recommend using either version in conjunction with this mod, and have even made special versions of some of the ship submodules to cater to those textures exactly -- if you use either mod, and I recommend you do, I highly suggest reading the relevant bit in the Installation section for more details. You can also check out ShiningRedHD's "Ebon Hawk HD - 4x Upscaled Texture" on NexusMods for a high definition version of the exterior of the ship. Dark parts of the ship's map bothering you? Check out "TSL Ebon Hawk Downloadable Map" by Ashton Scorpius. If you have any compatibility questions, feel free to ask, though there are not too many mods out there also working on the Ebon Hawk's models, as opposed to textures. For a mod such as this, checking for compatibility is as simple as ensuring a different mod does not contain any files of the same name as those included in the list below. Note that this mod includes three minorly-edited lightmaps, as listed above. Acknowledgments: Thanks to Fred Tetra for making file extraction easy with KotORTool and Symmetric, Purifier, Ndix UR, and seedhartha for making importing to Blender simple using KotORBlender. I also want to give a big thank-you to bead-v and ndix UR for their work on "Ebon Hawk Model Fixes", and for their generosity. I would also like to thank Pcthoros for reporting the light issue for mobile users. For those of you curious about that mystery object in the first few screenshots, the Ebon Hawk's main hold is surrounded by a black box meant to make all the geometry errors throughout the ship less noticeable. I removed it, sealed up all the gaps in the above screenshots, as well as many more, then put back the pieces that were not accidentally visible to the player. This modification is not supported by Obsidian Entertainment, Lucasarts, Disney or any licensers/sponsors thereof. Use of this modification is at your own risk and neither the aforementioned companies nor the author may be held responsible for any damages caused to your computer via this modification's usage.

This mod edits the various landing pad areas so that you can see the through the Ebon Hawk's and Telos shuttles' cockpit windows, which should be a bit more interesting than the blacked-out windows in the vanilla game. It also adds more detail to the room which is visible through the hole in the side of the ship in the prologue. This mod includes some model fixes to the Telos hangars and Telos shuttle crash site developed by PapaZinos, which are included here with permission. I have also made the following area model improvements: - Added proper lightmaps and missing geometry to the Ebon Hawk on Malachor V (i.e. landing gear hatches, the exit ramp, and the entire port side). Also patched the chunk missing from the starboard side for better consistency with the prerendered cutscenes. - Fixed the flickering windows at the Citadel Station Entertainment Module's shuttle terminals. - Changed the texture for the base of the crane in the Telos Academy to one that doesn't look like concrete. - Added unique environment map reflections for the Ebon Hawk similar to KOTOR 1 ("Enhanced Reflections" version only). - Replaced the 512x512 vanilla Ebon Hawk texture with the 1024x1024 version from KOTOR 1 ("Enhanced Reflections" version only). Because mods that edit the same area models are incompatible by nature, I have included optional compatibility patches for use with other notable mods. Please see the "Compatibility" section below for further information. **IMPORTANT**: There are two versions of this mod: - Enhanced Reflections - Adds new area-specific reflections to the Ebon Hawk's exterior. Recommended if you do not use any mods that reskin/upscale the Ebon Hawk exterior (or if you do and are willing to do some extra work to make them compatible). - Reskin Friendly - More readily compatibility with reskins of the Ebon Hawk exterior. Does not include the new reflections. Thank you for downloading, and I hope you enjoy this mod! ------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION If you are using one or more of the mods listed in the "Compatibility" section below, install them first. Run "INSTALL.exe" and follow the prompts. It is normal to see warnings that 202tel.mod and 222tel.mod already exist and have been skipped. When installation is complete, copy the files from any required compatibility patches into your game's Override folder, overwriting when asked. If you are using TSLRCM from the Steam Workshop, see this guide for how to combine installer-based mods with the Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=488641307 For best results, I recommend using a save from before visiting the Citadel Station Entertainment Module for the first time. However, this is not required. If you continue from a later save, all you will miss are a couple of pilots for the Entertainment Module shuttles. ------------------------------------------------------------------- COMPATIBILITY This mod is compatible with The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM). For best results, install this mod after TSLRCM, any of the mods listed below, or any other mods which make significant edits to the Telos Entertainment Module. Except as noted below, this mod is incompatible with any other mods that edit the same files. The main installation is compatible with following mods: - Ultimate Citadel Station Repairs by PapaZinos (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2059-ultimate-citadel-station-repairs/) - Telos Model Repairs by PapaZinos (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2059-ultimate-citadel-station-repairs/) I have also included compatibility patches for the following mods: - KOTOR 2 Community Patch (K2CP) (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1280-kotor-2-community-patch/) - M4-78 Enhancement Project (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/277-m4-78-enhancement-project/) - High Quality Skyboxes II for TSL by Kexikus (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1793-high-quality-skyboxes-ii/) - Realistic Nar Shaddaa Skybox by Sharen Thrawn (https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/file/realistic-nar-shaddaa-skybox) - Telos Polar Academy Hangar Skybox by DarthParametric (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1389-telos-polar-academy-hangar-skybox/) - Coruscant Jedi Temple by deathdisco (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/585-coruscant-jedi-temple-by-deathdisco/) - Nar Shaddaa Landing Pad Repair by PapaZinos (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2004-nar-shaddaa-landing-pad-repair/) - Spark Effect - Ebon Hawk by PapaZinos (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2314-spark-effect-ebon-hawk/) This mod is compatible with most reskins and texture mods. If you use the "Enhanced Reflections" install package with a mod that reskins the exterior of the Ebon Hawk, the Telos military base, and/or the Telos polar academy, follow the steps below. USING RESKIN MODS WITH ENHANCED REFLECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are using an Ebon Hawk reskin with the "Enhanced Reflections" version, perform the following steps: 1. Make a copy of PER_EH1.tga/txi for each row in the table below, named to match the Texture Name column. 2. Open each of the resulting TXI files in a text editor and change the envmaptexture or bumpyshinytexture parameter to the corresponding "EnvMap" in the table. 3. Delete each corresponding TPC file from this mod, as well as kor_ehok.tpc. Texture Name EnvMap Notes: wk_dan_eh1 WK_CM_DanPad wk_dxn_eh1 WK_CM_DxnHawk wk_nar_eh1 WK_CM_NarPad wk_per_eh1 WK_CM_PerHang wk_telac_eh1 WK_CM_TelAcad wk_telcit_eh1 WK_CM_TelHang wk_cor_eh1 WK_CM_CorPad Only needed if using with Coruscant Jedi Temple by deathdisco wk_m478_eh1 WK_CM_M478Pad Only needed if using with M4-78 If the reskin includes any of the following files, open their TXIs and change the "envmaptexture" or "bumpyshinytexture" as follows. Also delete the conflicting TPC file from this mod. Texture Name EnvMap 002_ebo_main1 WK_CM_PerSpace 002_ebo_main3 WK_CM_PerSpace mal_ebo_main2 WK_CM_MalHawk If you are using a reskin mod for the Telos military base and/or polar academy with the "Enhanced Reflections" version, I recommend doing the following: 1. Make extra copies of tel_tr07.tga/txi and rename them to wk_telacadmtl.tga/txi. 2. Open wk_telacadmtl.txi with a text editor and change the envmaptexture to WK_CM_TelAcad. 3. Delete the version of wk_telacadmtl.tpc from this mod. ------------------------------------------------------------------- CREDITS KotorBlender by seedhartha MDLedit and KOTORmax by bead-v tpcview and tga2tpc by ndix UR NWNSSCOMP by Torlack and tk102 K-GFF by tk102 TSL Patcher by stoffe ERFEdit by stoffe and Fair Strides Kotor Tool by Fred Tetra Thanks to Kexikus, deathdisco, and DarthParametric for granting permission to include modified files from their mods for compatibility. KOTOR 2 Alpha Textures Description: This is an attempt to restore the K2 visuals, to CLOSELY match those used by the Obsidian during the Alpha stages of development, as seen in promotional screenshots and videos. Just like with KOTOR 1 many early game textures still exist ,in their low quality format, in the game files. This IS NOT a 100% faithful restoration, more a creative interpretation. (SEE screenshots). I don't think that is possible, or its beyond my capabilities. Textures are UPSCALES to 2k. Uploaded collage of promotional images. Installation: Textures are "High Resolution" upscales of base game images.(sometimes modified where necessary) They COULD be used as STANDALONE. However, i recommend/ the intent was, as a patch for my mod. - KOTOR 2 HD Galaxy Mod https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor2/mods/1174 If you have it, just extract the folders into override and REPLACE, when prompted. OPTIONAL FILES: Ive included a SEPARATE alternate appearance for TELOS.(not the red one! See images) Also included retextures for the Droids used in "Alternate Peragus mining Droids" by FF97, also 2k. WARNING - alpha droid models have a animation errors! LINK: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1227-alternate-peragus-mining-droids/ INCOMPATIBILITY: Obviously, any mods that affect the games environment visuals(replaces same files) are incompatible. This mod buffs Ajunta Pall. Do you guys remember the epic moment when you first fight the Great Ajunta Pall? No? Neither do i. Ajunta is a little B who dies in one hit, even though he is supposed to be a powerfull ancient Sith Lord. So... I buffed him a tiny bit. Have fun! The mod only works if he hasn't spawned in yet.
