About This File

Hi, this is my first texture mod, so please don't be to rude.

It covers all textures related to Atton. All of them are reworked vanilla ones and in 4k-resolution. I know that some pieces, for example the faces are still like in vanilla, but I intend to change that in the near future.

I edited following things:

-His Leather Jacket now looks like real leather

-his shirt now has a visible fabric.texture

-all metal pieces of his clothing look like actual metal (including buttons)

-His shoes and belt have a nice black leather texture, now

-his pants are in higher resolution, and i changed the stripe on them from grey to red. Now they look a little bit more like Han Solo. It's only a small asthetic change, but I think it looks great

I used following ressources and tools:

- various textures from http://www.cgtextures.com/

- This nice Eye-Textureset http://xoriu.deviantart.com/art/MMD-Naturae-Eye-Texture-249285720

& photoshop to edit the textures.

Installation: just put the .tga files from the download into your override folder.

I hope you enjoy my mod. If you have any suggestions or tips for me, please let me know.

Released

Admin upload of .tpc conversion of original file, hopefully reducing filesize enough to avoid texture errors reported in the comments. Original .tga version remains listed.

Excellent job. I like how you can see the  leather/hide grains on the vest/jacket, everything looks much better and sharper. Next? Why not do a complete retex of ALL of them, in one nice pack? Lol, tall order, I know, but judging by this one, it would look great. Man, anyone being next is fine by me, it will only enhance the game, overall. Too bad you can't do the PC options as well.

  Well Done.

I have just come back to PC gaming after a long time away from it, and when I saw that people were still modding THIS game, I had to play it again, with the great mods offered.

I'm definitely going to keep track of the progress. Thanks for the great work.

Nice mod, must have for me now - I use it exclusively for Atton textures

1 small request and/or suggestion - I have started converting any textures over 512 x 512 to DDS format using Darth Sapiens Bioware TGA to DDS converter tool as it loads SOOOO much faster and more efficiently - UNLESS they are animated textures or, for whatever reason, they don't end up looking the same.

Textures at 4096 x 4096 tend to lag a bit on load up, and that's on MY system, which is one of the fastest I've ever built.

No worries or complaints, though. Leaving it doesn't make it unplayable, and I'm happy to convert them myself :-)

I had a weird glitch where the skin for Atton's clothing was no longer being read once I got my gear back in from the TSF in Citadel Station. All it showed was Atton's head and then his body in all white, no skins or textures. I looked in the override and the files were still there, I re-extracted them from the mod folder and replaced the old ones in the override. It fixed the problem for now.

If anyone is experiencing the bug where Atton's Jacket and base Clothing textures turn white after arriving on Citadel Station, follow the guide listed here to convert the files from TGA to DDS. This resolved the issue for me (it also reduces the texture size, and can be applied to any other large textures that are in TGA format, though it seems animated textures will bug out).
