About This File

Making lightsabers is incredibly easy!

1. Go to the Workbench and select "Use Saber Console"

2. Choose "Create a hilt", choose a model and a color

3. The hilts are like a lightsaber crystal. Just equip it into the crystal spot and voila!

It comes with its own installer, but I assure you it's not malicious.

If you run into incorrect colors, simply switch out the crystal at a workbench and rebuild the lightsaber.

HOLOWAN DUPLISABER v.215b

Chainz.2da

Darth Deadman Evasto Inyri Forge OldFlash Qui-Don Jorn Quanon Seprithro Svosh T7Nowhere TriggerGod VarsityPuppet

This mod expands the current lightsaber selection to include 59 different hilts, 13 different colors and long-bladed lightsabers.

There are 59 total saber hilts to choose from, and they are available in 13 different colors, making for 767 possibilities.

Future versions will integrate the saber hilts into the game as prizes and earnable or collectible items.

Installation:

Just click "Install" and wait for the progress bar to finish. If the installer closes early, the installation was not successful.

Using the mod:

Once in game, go to any workbench and you should have the option to open up the Saber Console. From the Saber Console, you can choose any hilt and the color of that hilt. This will give you a "hilt" item that you can use at a workbench to create a lightsaber. Simply switch out the color crystal for the desired hilt and it will change your lightsaber. Due to the nature of the game engine, you can even change the type of the weapon based on the hilt you choose. Changing from short to long to single to double is as easy as switching out a hilt.

Disclaimer: This mod was built to be compatible with all mods (TSLRCM and M4-78 included). Any errors you encounter either come from a conflict caused by another mod or are a result of an installation error.

DO NOT MESS WITH THE FILE FOLDERS. DOING SO WILL RUIN THE INSTALLATION.

Credits:

This mod was made from saber mods for which I asked for permission to use or were already open for free use. Each lightsaber is marked in-game with its original designer in its description.

Just installed this on the Steam version, running Steam mods TSLRCM 1.8.4, M4-78 Enhancement Project, and the Content Pack: Feats and Powers.

I don't get a "Saber Console" option at any workbench, but it has changed the sabers in my inventory to hilts from this mod (and the crystals in them as well).

I installed the Steam mod "Skip Peragus", which does what it sounds like, and provides you with a saber. I started a new game, skipped to the end of Peragus, then tried the workbench in the Ebon Hawk and still didn't get a Saber Console option.

Any suggestions?

Solution: The problem was that I installed Holowan Duplisaber to the Steam game folder. If using TSLRCM and M-4-78, non-workshop mods have to be installed to those mods' folders.

Having trouble getting this to work.  Finally got it installed right (in the Restored Content folder for Steam Workshop), but choosing "Open Saber Console" just kicks me back into the game.  Tried deleting all my other Overwrite mods, nada.  Any suggestions?

UPDATE: Okay, so I installed SLM and the m4-78 compatibility patch that came with it. Then I did a test where if the game did not crash when the female computer voice started giving backstory to what happened to the ebon hawk before the prologue, then it would pass the test.  And when I did the test, the game did not crash.  So this MAY mean that SLM and Duplisaber are compatible, but additional testing with later parts of the game may be required to confirm this.

Actually no, duplisaber and SLM are NOT compatible. It says the incompatibility on the SLM mod page. Sorry about that, and please disregard my last 2 comments.

I seem to have an issue. When I try to use the console, I can get as far as choosing a color; no options appear. What do?

I'm having the same issue.

I figured out how to install this with the Steam version of the Restored Content mod. You first have to install the mod to the override folder of the Steam mod, which is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\208580\485537937\override. After that, copy the Saberconsole folder to the actual override folder of the game, where it would normally be installed.

The reason for this is that the steam version of mods don't allow subfolders, such as saberconsole, to exist within their override folder. It is like it doesn't exist. Moving it to the main folder allows it to work. HOWEVER, MAKE SURE that you only move the saberconsole folder. Moving the rest of the mod's files breaks the game.

Sorry to double post, but my solution was incomplete it seems. The menu works, but I can't select a color after I select a hilt, so the mod is still unusable.

that is the same issue I'm having. The installer crashes the instant I choose the game folder. I have the collection version, the restored content mod, the M-planet mod, and a reskin pack. No idea what the problem is here. :( please let me know what's up if you can.

Okay I finally got this to work but now another problem is arising...my sabers don't have textures they only have meshes...is it because I am using non-steam mods and steam workshop at the same time?

I was having two issues:

(1) No option for Saber Console. I solved this by installing Duplisaber into the Steam Workshop directory per jojy123's suggestion.

(2) Once I got Saber Console to show up, trying to select it would kick me back into the game. I solved this by doing another complete Duplisaber installation into the normal game directory.

I went through the entire process of creating a lightsaber hilt+color, and everything seems to work fine. However, for some reason, the color of my original lightsaber changed from violet to gold when first loaded my save, but nonetheless the color of the new lightsaber was correct.

To fix this:

Go into the game folder and open the swkotor2.ini

look under Graphics Options

find the line: DisableVertexBufferObjects=1

Rewrite it so that it looks like this: Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1

Hopefully that fixes it.

Hey so I got a couple of weird issues that are probably caused by myself and my experience, the standard lightsabers have all been replaced with "Dxun's Jungle" or something, don't know if that's intentional. Also, when I select a green crystal, the blade might show up red, if I select a red crystal it might show up blue etc etc.

I have the default saber hilt replacement pack installed as well, so I think that might be the cause but I don't really know.

Also, the USM sabers show up as transparent or completely black dunno what causes this either, any help is much obliged

How do I uninstall this mod? The latest version gives me an error notice and I have to uninstall it as I am unable to use any on the workbenches in the game.

Using the latest version (5. Jan 2015) with game version 1.0b, it denies use of all workbenches. It's telling me that the command node contains an end node and start note. I can't use workbenches with this mod installed. How do I get it to work and how do I uninstall it? Cuz ATM, I have to uninstall the game each time and install it again....
