INSTALLATION
*************
Unzip, copy the files from one of the folders to your override folder.

************
DESCRIPTION
************
This mod includes reskins of:
- Bao-Dur's head
- The lightning in his mechanical arm (more red)
- His mechanical arm when wearing armor (red details)
- His default clothing (a lot of black)
- His Remote (and with it also other Sensor Balls). The Remote gets a more Imperial look.

There's 3 variations included that you can choose from, version A has different looks for light side, half way dark and fully dark side.
Version B is for the Darth Maul fans who want the look inspired by him from the start.
Version C is based on the Nightbrothers from Dathomir.

This mod is not compatible with other mods that change Bao-Dur's appearance.

TSLRCM: A few files that change Bao-Dur's default clothing to a darker version are also included in TSLRCM, so you will need to overwrite those files if you're using TSLRCM. If you like you can make backups of those files before replacing them (P_Bao_DurA.tga, p_bao_dura.txi, P_Bao_DurAD01.tga, p_bao_durad01.txi).

Put the Version C (Nightbrother) up on deadly stream please. It's impossible to download from Steam Workshop without the steam version of the game.. the steamdownloaders aren't working with kotor. It's annoying.

A Darth Maul(ed) Bao-Dur?   never thought of that (possibility)!!!    lol

you even changed his remote? have to try this ASAP. A.S.A.P !!! Well done, I think I'll probably end up tweaking this to set Bao's default appearance as your first darkside transition (if that one is the white-black skinned head that is) and the first darkside transition to Maul's textures. I might be doing that I think.

@paramano01: Someone told me you can download Steam mods without owning the game it belongs to, but I can't test it myself. But sure, I will add it here soon.

@GNihilus2: Thanks! Yes, mix things up whichever way you like :)

I have tried to download it from Steam, but the kotor 2 links won't work, I tested a lot of methods xd

Thanks. This mod is a great addition to the game, it's real quality work.

I am playing a heavily modded playthrough, and Bao-Dur's remote has transparent "eyes"/lenses. I checked the texture, and it does appear that this part of the texture is indeed transparent, but what I don't understand is why it's rendered as transparent and not as in the pictures you've posted...

I'm going to have to get a bit technical...
Textures in this game can have an alpha channel, normally you'd think that that's just for transparency, but here it can be areas where another texture "shines through" using that alpha channel, like a background layer.
You can include a .txi file to declare which texture is behind those transparent parts, for example one to make those parts look like shiny metal. This mod does not include a .txi file, because I didn't need to change how the unmodded file handled that.

You say "heavily modded", so a lot of things could be an issue, I hope the above can give you some clues about where things might clash.

Yeah, I've been reading up a lot ever since I started venturing outside the Steam workshop for mods, so I pretty much knew that about transparency already. What's weird is, when I switch back to the standard remote texture, the eye isn't see-through, and when I extract that texture, It doesn't show an alpha channel on the lens. When I make a .txi to try and resolve the issue I've set the material to CM_baremetal (because that's the first one you learn about scouring the web) but then the lens just turns... White-ish. Like there's barely any hint of the metal texture. Ahh well, I'll keep experimenting.

Oh, oops, I think I simply forgot to include a txi file 🙄
Thanks for noticing, I've updated the zip.
