Krayt Dragon Pearl

Does anyone know of a mod that makes it so the Sand People storyteller doesn't take the Krayt Dragon pearl from you? I feel like just presenting it would warrant being able to hear their history while still allowing Revan to keep it for their lightsaber.

There is no mod (to my knowledge) that does that but there is a mod (which I incorporated in my own project and improved upon) that gives you a chance to get the second Krayt dragon pearl.

Honestly, I would not be sure I'd recommend the version you can download without my improvements/fixes but you can find it here.

Appreciate the response, Salk. I'd personally prefer a mod that allows me to keep the one Komad gives me, but this should serve as a decent substitute.

Just give the pearl, hear the story then kill all sand people, you will get the pear back.

The lack of such a mod is probably because most people who want to have it both ways either use the cheat console to just get a new one... or if they don't want to cheat, they place a save before presenting the pearl so they can reload after learning the history and then hold onto it instead. It would be a nice touch though.

A clever idea. I wonder, does it have to be done before resolving the Wookiee-Czerka conflict?

For me it's a matter of narrative as well as gameplay. If I reload to a previous save or slaughter the Sand People it changes what Revan has "accomplished" in my playthrough. I want to let the Sand People live, hear the history, and keep the pearl without having to fire up the save editor or use the cheat console.

It's a trivial mod to do if you want it. Literally just delete one line of code (ActionTakeItem) from k_ptat_sandtakep.
