Anyone try a neutral playthrough in KOTOR2?

Recommended Posts

Despite KOTOR2's story being much more gray-er than previous Star Wars games,  the game still pushes the whole 'choose either light side or dark side' alignment. Has anyone here ever tried a neutral playthrough in K2? Granted, you probably won't get visas, and you can't get a prestige class (I think). Don't think it would be worth being gray for that game, but it does seem like a more interesting way to play the game as opposed to the regular light side or dark side playthrough.

I haven't tried it with K2- probably because I like the prestige classes and I find the extremes interesting. The game does push you one way or another. Kreia doesn't respect you for being middle of the road, lol.

I did in K1. Was actually kind of meh. Scored Dark Side points with punks and thugs and other people who probably are jerks., Light Points for companion characters and the little guy characters. Light Side for Kashyyk and Dark Side for Korriban. Then, being horrified by the revelation, my character went full Light Side.

Truly neutral responses and reactions don't get a lot of experience points. Both games are set up that way. It would be interesting to have more neutral play options.

Apparently there is a variation in the handmaiden and Visas fight on the Exile's  alignment. Surprisingly there is a third option for the Exile's  neutral alignment that the Handmaiden  speaks of.

Visas will join you anyway, your Name crystal will have different stats, you 'll never get access to Secret Tomb and I think, you won't get Prestige class.  You can try neutral outcome on Nar-Shaddaa, but the game forces you to choose LS or DS side on Onderone and Dantooine. It all leads to the same end. Almost zero new dialogs.
I tried it once, it is not worth the troubles.
